Unmotivated Hero's Tale

The Queen was born...... and

Inauguration ceremony.

It is a ritual that, from the past to modern times, has also been continued in Clarice for the purpose of clarifying the bearers of key positions in the country, starting with the King and including the Prime Minister and ministers. The name Queen, which was never used in this country, is added to history as the office in which that ritual is opened.

And to be the first queen in the history of this country is the fact that, of all the leaders of this country in history, the youngest and most beautiful woman, Ertbourg, the king's capital, was gushing.

As an event representing one end of the spectrum, you can already drink in Castle Town than two days before the inauguration of the Queen of Elise, it was a festival of singing, and the sight was as if to say a complete goodbye to the war that struck this country last year.

Such festival-like noise culminates when Elise represents herself from the balcony before the people after the inauguration ceremony in the castle.

Elise's ratings since she essentially topped this country were not so bad, even if they were not admirable from the citizens' point of view.

That, of course, was not given unconditionally against her. Because what she was called an orbitless princess was known not only to the nobility, but also to the common people, and until the beginning of the war the other day, she was only considered to be a princess of the stranger.

It is not only her efforts to rebuild that led her to the kind of recognition she currently has, but above all, she finds and takes Yui Istarz, the country's hero, in the region.

Because Yui Istarz came from the same common people as the majority of the people, and the story of his birth was now the longing and goal of the children of this country.

On the other hand, when it comes to evaluation from the nobles, it is divided into two parts.

Some forces, such as Lord Rhine and Rheinberg, who value her highly, and Grand Duke Blau, the Speaker of the House of Lords, who is always in direct conflict, are difficult to say that she was unanimously approved as Queen.

One disturbance, which was to be caused by her subtle standing, began with the inaugural party venue, which was executed after the inauguration ceremony.

"Aynce...... party is really a pain in the ass. Do aristocrats always do this?

In his position, Yui, who is probably the winged one who has to attend, completes his job of rushing around among the ladies busily and speaks that way to his junior, who has returned to take a breath.

"Don't tell me it's hard. I don't know who's listening. Look, seniors, the place I said this doesn't fly arrows or magic, but it's one battlefield. A noble weapon without weapons is a rumor all the time."

"Something like that... I knew better and better that it was a far away world from me. Well, I had a brother-in-law and I attended this one, but this would be the first and last time I would attend a ceremony like this, so let's think of it as a sophisticated and good memory"

Yui laughed bitterly and opened his mouth like that, and Aince appealed to him with a frightened look.

"Again, seniors say that right away. If you're in a senior position, you're going to be called more often in the future, so get used to it a little bit... and speak in a slightly smaller voice. Like I said, I don't know who's listening."

"... You've really come to resemble Lute lately. Don't be such a whisperer."

Suddenly a blunt impact ran over his head as Yui said so while looking at Aince with half an eye.

"Who's a novelist, who's?

"Oh... there you are, Lute"

Behind his own back, Yui smiles bitterly as he suppresses his slapped head, seeing Lute holding the sword in his hand in the sheath that became the murder weapon.

"It's the Queen's inauguration. The operation of this party is hosted by the House of Lords, but naturally the security is carried out by the SS. That's why SS people are so busy. Unlike a captain who works his men around chasing women's asses, even though he's an advisor and nobleman who founds this SS."

"Ha, Aince. You've been told, too."

Yui, who somehow cares that she's not the only one pissed off, tries to laugh at the junior next door. But there was already no sign of him there.

"Since when did that guy get away so fast... is it still the impact of his personal life?

"You're determined by the influence of your stupid boss. You've always spoiled him, so you've always had the majesty of being head of SS."

"That's not me outside, there's a problem with his men... no, it's nothing"

Yui hurries to modify his remarks as he sticks his palms forward against Lute, who genuinely stares at him.

"Hum, okay. It was decided earlier, but I need to keep it in your ear as soon as possible."

"To me? I don't know."

"Actually, thanks for one deal on this Queen's inauguration -"

As Lute began to speak that way, one man appeared before them to block his story.

"Hey, common folk. Why are you here?"

Yui unexpectedly shifts his gaze to the front of them to that voice he has heard somewhere. Then there was the figure of his classmate Murtina, who until the other day was in the captivity of the Empire.

"Oh, Murtina? It's been a long time since you've come home safe."

"Hey, Istarz. Don't abandon me. This dinner party seat is not a battlefield. Even if you're in third place, don't you know that ranking like that doesn't matter in this seat?

"Maybe, but... see, you're a classmate"

When Yui scratches his head like it was weak and says so, Murtina's gaze becomes as steep as if it included intent to kill.

"Don't be ridiculous, so many common people. Just because you're the same age doesn't mean you and I are the same."

When an angry voice was emitted on the spot that was difficult to say deserved a celebration party, the air flowed as if it had frozen around the two of us. Those around him also turn their gaze to Murtina and Yui at the same time.

At that time Lute had no choice but to intervene to separate the two, another classmate, who was the chief of security this time, approached the two from behind and spoke out.

"Oh, no, how are you?... Isn't Yui and Murtina you? Don't bother rubbing in such a celebratory setting."

Speaking that way as if to warn him with a grin, Alex narrows his fox eyes more than usual and stares at Murtina. Then, when Murtina suddenly blues her expression, noticing his presence, she retreats slightly while pulling her cheeks.

"Mm... you did. What I did seems to have caused me to lose my composure in the eyes of a filthy common man. let me be rude with this"

Slightly retreating, just emanating from his mouth, Murtina disperses from the blemish and the spot.

"Thank you, Alex. He seems to listen to you for a long time."

"Well, there have been a lot of delightful events with him. Haven't you told Yui about the conversation you heard earlier?

Alex says so when he shifts his gaze toward Lute.

"Yeah, I was just about to tell you, but that idiot's involved."

"I see..."

Seeing the two people nodding so mouthfully, Yui asks toward them as she tilts her neck.

"You two, what are you talking about?

When the two of them looked at each other to answer Yui's query, they heard such a loud cheer from behind them.

"Oh, didn't you make it? Well, no, even in the sense of getting her to understand reality, maybe Yui should hear it directly from her mouth. For now, I'm going to go to security. [M] Lute, and then say hello."

"Hey...... damn, dude"

Lute hits one tongue as he chases Alex with his eyes rushing toward Elise trying to get up on the stage set in front of the party venue.

"So what the hell are you talking about? Hey, it looks like there's something going on with me."

"Oh... well, you'll see soon enough. If only I'd heard Elise speak."

When Lute speaks that way toward Yui, he looks straight at Elise on the stage. In Yui's eyes, who moved his gaze toward the altar, as he followed his gaze, was the figure of Elise, who just began to speak to those who came.

Thank you for coming, for your thoughts on your late father, and for your request for cooperation with everyone. The vast majority of the audience, including Yui, nails her gaze against Elise, who speaks each and every one of them politely and sincerely. Where there was thus a division between her speeches, the venue, quiet as a water mirror, was wrapped in an applause that never broke.

Looking slowly at the reaction of such a venue, she nods one big time and opens her mouth again.

"Everyone who supports this Clarice. I promise you two things. One is to lead this country to a country that you can be proud of. And the other thing is, we aim to create a country that you can rest assured of by supporting this country."

So Elise stops talking once and takes a break. And after a slightly shady look on his face for a moment, he mouthed an announcement that would make the venue noisy.

"… for which I have something to report to you. I think you all know one hero who saved our country from its predicament and the other day from the crisis of collapse the Rhindle, an ally. On this occasion, in recognition of his achievements in my Queen's office, I have decided, along with those in the House of Lords, to appoint him Count."

The venue receives the word, and for a moment it rises. Everyone, with the exception of the very few nobles belonging to the House of Lords, cannot hide their surprise at the unprecedented treatment of the birth of the first new nobility in decades, which is also the treatment of the Count.

But in the margins of such venue confusion, the person who finds himself pointing to himself is still surrounded by a desire to escape the scene while strengthening his expression.

But no one ever guesses his mood like that, and time moves the clock needle ahead. And when Yui regains some calm, a familiar old man is lined up somewhere next to Elise, who spoke of the earlier proclamation, and slowly reads out a single deed.

"Take Yui Istarz third place, with today, as count, and give his people the territory of Lemuriak. This is a matter for the House of Lords and the Royal Family."

The moment that proclamation was made, a distinctly different species of surprise filled the venue and the jealousy that was about to sprout in the lower nobility disappeared within a moment. And with it, a gaze containing countless pities was simultaneously directed toward Yui.

On the other hand, I couldn't afford to care less about such ambient reactions and so on, and the word Lemuriak territory, which was uttered earlier by the old man on the stage, was poking deep into his brain.

Towards such a grumpy yui, the old man turns his gaze and opens his mouth to bless him with a full grin.

"Yui Istarz third. With today you are allowed to be named Earl of Yui von Lemuriak. Come here to receive this letter of appointment."

The moment Yui sees the likely grin where it includes him, he slightly strengthens his expression when he realizes that the man in front of him is Grand Duke Blau, the Speaker of the House of Lords. And with it, Yui understood all the circumstances the moment he saw Elise's seemingly sorry face lining up next door.

Yui laughs bitterly like weakened. Then he scratches his head three times and once he blanks his brain, he starts walking step by step toward the stage. Along with that, Yui rapidly searches for the best hand he can take at present and braids scenarios to smear the canvas the brows try to draw from above.

"Congratulations, Count Yui von Lemuriak. From now on, you are one of us. Why don't we work together for this country?"

Blau says so without concealing his delightful colour against Yui, who slowly walks up to his front as he advances his thinking.

With that distorted grin in his eyes, Yui has a refreshing grin that doesn't look like him, based on his scenario that he finished building in his brain. And he opened his mouth to Blau so he could smile.

"Thank you, Grand Duke Blau. It's just that I'm a commoner and a shallow non-talented person. So I'm not sure I can successfully serve those titles: Count, etc. So I have about two favors for the Grand Duke and Her Majesty Queen Elise..."

Grand Duke Blau does not believe that Yui would mention such a thing in this situation, and it makes things look slightly bewildered by what is different from the envisaged progression.

"Well, I'm surprised you're not more confident in being called a hero... so what's a wish?

"Speaking of Lemuriak, I think you mean Lemuriak, located in that southwestern Clarice. May I take it that you have given me such a tough area, on the contrary, as a deep anticipation of me?

"Of course, Count. Certainly not many say badly that his land has been abandoned, etc. It is also true, however, that his land is buried with the most abundant and fine demonic stones in this country. So, no, that's why I'm counting on you, the hero, to leave his land to me."

Yui laughs bitterly in her heart when she hears Blau's reply.

Remliak is the land where the finest demonic stones in the kingdom are buried in large quantities, which is not false in itself. It was, however, a terminal indication that there was a deep problem rooted in his land that people would not move to such land.

"I see, I'm extremely honored that you're expecting so much. However, we have heard that the land is the site of the outbreak of Rugelil's disease, which can only be considered a major disease. Few people lose their lives because of it, and it can be quite difficult to bring in workers from the outside. So, my first favor, just for about a decade, is fine, so it's up to you to reduce taxes to bring people in, and to think freely about doing business with regard to economic activity in his land, how about that?

"Mmmm... you call it tax relief"

To a proposal entirely out of scenario, Blau thinks for a moment. As long as there is disease, it seems obvious that no matter how his land is favoured in tax terms, there will be no gathering of people, etc. But I tried to open my mouth when I thought that, in the sense of picking a little bit of a sprout of possibility, I would not bother to offer him any favorable conditions.

But Yui slipped his words as he moved his gaze toward Elise, as Blau slipped into the slightest gap of time in his mind.

"Dear Elise, unfortunately at present we hear that his land is in a state where taxes are almost unpaid. But if you hear my wish, let me promise you that after ten years I will have ten times as much tax as I have in my current year. What do you think?

Yui smiles at Elise, who has a sad look on her face, all at once. Then, sensing part of his intentions, she took the lead of the conversation away from Blau and uttered a voice that was audible to all the nobles present here.

"Fine, Count. If you're going to pay ten times as much tax as you do now, it's a tough story. If that's how you can bring wealth to the kingdom, there's no reason to reject your suggestion. Isn't that right, Lord Blau?

"No, but that's... most importantly, I really didn't know I could pay ten times more taxes..."

Blau, who had just given Elise a drink on Yui's proposal to appoint an Earl, can't keep up with the rapidly moving changes in circumstances. Yui smiles and opens his mouth to him, so that he may soak up.

"Ha, Lord Blau. Can't you trust me for what you expect and trust? If I ever break this promise, I resign from the county and military service."

The moment that Yui's words are spoken, the venue is wrapped up again.

Few people live in this country and don't know Rugelil's disease. It is also a disease that should be called wind and earth disease, a disease that leads to death in which the body gradually ceases to move if it suffers from the disease, and at the end of the day, it stops breathing and the heart. Because of the existence of the disease, no matter how much demonic stones are buried, no inhabitants other than those who inhabited his land more than in ancient times exist and remain abandoned.

Because it is such a land, the vast majority who were on the spot, Yui's proposal only reflected like self-immolation.

When a blank space was thus created in the venue for a moment, suddenly one man, who was in the venue, opened his mouth to Blau on the stage to cleave his silence as he began to laugh.

"Isn't that good, Lord Blau? It is said that the hero will make his own progress. Can we develop this country without drawing the will of this hero?"

Those who uttered the word and gathered their gaze together from within the venue were Phil, the eldest son of the Marquis of Mellenbal. When Blau sees his confident figure, he nods and opens his mouth once more.

"Um, you're right. Elise seems to acknowledge it, and in the sense that we expect it from the Count's arms, let us adjust it in the direction of acknowledging the proposal."

The moment he takes that quality of Blau, Yui scratches his head and opens his mouth with a full grin, this time with a look of sorry.

"Thank you. May I state, then, with regard to the other request?

"Um, but the two are greedy, too, Count. But today is a truly happy day for Elise to take office as queen and for you to take office as Count. Go ahead, say it."

As soon as Blau hears what he has said, Yui smiles bitterly as he scratches his head, mouthing a wish that no one on the spot would have expected.

"As a matter of fact, I, from the common people, feel very afraid to name the Von title, just like all of you. Therefore, until the time when we can achieve an unabashedly proven track record for everyone who has inspired our enthusiasm, we want to be named Yui Istarz, as always."
