Without a doubt, this was the worst Halloween Jon had had in his years at Hogwarts.

Due to the escape of Professor Alastor-Moody, the entire campus has lost all festive atmosphere.

Moreover, the vast majority of students do not quite agree with the statement "Mad-Eye Moody is a Death Eater" given by the Ministry of Magic.

"My grandma wrote to tell me!" At the Halloween dinner, Neville Longbottom shouted loudly: "Even if the entire Ministry of Magic surrendered to You-Know-Who and became Death Eaters; Alastor Moody would still Standing on the opposite side of the mysterious man!"

That night, poor Neville was called to her office by Umbridge...then in the middle of the night, dragging her bloody hands, she returned to the Gryffindor common room.

"Use some rice, Neville..." Hermione said to Neville with a sympathetic expression.

There are not a few students who hold the same opinion as Neville Longbottom; whether it is Gryffindor or other houses, they just lack the courage of Neville.

...

Professor Dolores Umbridge has received the Order of Merlin, First Class.

She now pins the gold medal with the letter M on her collar as she walks around campus every day... Jon doubts she'd even wear it on her face if she was allowed to.

The position of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher has been vacant these days.

Relevant courses have also been suspended for several days, allowing everyone to have a few extra class holidays.

The students were arguing about who would be in this position.

In the corridor before, Jon had heard a conversation between Umbridge and Professor Snape——

"You applied to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts first, didn't you?" Professor Umbridge asked Snape.

"Yes." Snape whispered.

"But didn't apply?"

Snape pursed his lips: "Obviously."

"You have applied to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts many times since you entered the school, haven't you?" Umbridge asked.

"Yes." Snape whispered, his lips barely moving. He looked annoyed.

"Do you know why Dumbledore repeatedly refused to use you?" Umbridge asked.

"I suggest you ask him," Snape replied stiffly.

"I will," said Professor Umbridge, smiling.

"Then I'm very grateful to you!" Snape asked, his dark eyes narrowing.

After this conversation without any real progress, Umbridge came to the hall with some displeasure.

But this time at the breakfast banquet, Principal Albus Dumbledore stood up from his seat after a long absence, and announced to everyone: "I think I need to introduce two new teachers to you..."

"New teacher?" Umbridge called sharply. "You've already found it... I remind you, Dumbledore, that according to Educational Order Twenty-Second..."

"The Ministry of Magic has the power to appoint a teacher when and only if the headmaster cannot find a suitable candidate. I am happy to announce that this time I have found one. Shall I introduce you?" Dumbledore turned gently towards Umri Qi smiled, and at the same time the door of the hall was opened.

A gray-haired old man entered the hall, his face covered with freckles; but he did not look terrible at all, but looked very kind.

Jon froze for a moment...he had seen this old man before.

"Welcome, Newt!" Dumbledore walked over and gave the old man a warm hug: "Welcome back to Hogwarts!"

The students of the four colleges obviously recognized who this new old man was... He is a well-known figure in the wizarding world.

Everyone applauded in the most violent way...especially the applause of the Hufflepuff students, the loudest.

Umbridge's complexion has become extremely ugly now.

"Welcome, Professor Newt Scamander!" Dumbledore shouted.

"Oh..." There was a burst of cheers from below.

"Thank you, Albus... Also, thank you for your support!" The new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor smiled and nodded towards the four colleges and the teacher's seat one by one: "I thought Professor Dumbledore He wanted me to be the Care of Fantastic Beasts teacher, but he had already found a new teacher... I had to settle for the next best thing and choose Defense Against the Dark Arts!"

"Find a new teacher?" Umbridge's expression changed.

"No, Dolores!" Dumbledore shook his head at Umbridge, "It's actually an old teacher..."

"...You shouldn't forget that you are only acting as a teacher of the Protection of Magical Beasts temporarily..." Dumbledore blinked mischievously: "But now, you may be more relaxed and bid farewell to this position for the time being... Because our real Care of Magical Creatures teacher, Professor Rubeus Hagrid, is back!"

A tall figure walked into the hall with his head down.

Rubeus Hagrid smiled foolishly at the students, although his beard was pulled out somehow, and there were several wounds on his face...

The students clapped desperately. For the first time, they felt that Hagrid was so pleasing to the eye,

...

Professor Umbridge's face was completely livid... as if she had never been humiliated like this before.

Jon followed Umbridge to her office, carrying a roll of parchment.

"Oh, Patrick, what's the matter?" Umbridge forced a smile on his face.

"It's what you told our D.A. members..." Jon said hastily, and at the same time put the roll of parchment on Umbridge's desk: "This is the latest whereabouts of Potter and his friends... ...as you might expect, they do seem to have formed a secret organization..."

"Damn it!" But before Umbridge could take a closer look, there was a knock on the door.

"Excuse me, Patrick!" Umbridge hurried over.

As soon as the door opened, Filch's voice came from outside: "Professor Umbridge, Professor Scamander has come to the castle...he wants to use this office that should belong to the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts..."

Jon looked around pretending to be bored, and then he found a document on Umbridge's desk.

A series of names were written on the document, at the top was Albus Dumbledore, then Harry Potter, Arthur Weasley...

Jon looked down and found the name of Alastor Moody. Moody's name was circled and crossed with a red pen.

Further down, there is also a circled name, although it has not yet been crossed out:

"Diana Greengrass."
