I Have Seven Dragon Souls In a cultivation world

227 Chapter 227: I Can't Cure it

But even with the strange state that Dante was experiencing, the executioner didn't relax.

It was an unnerving, twisted feeling, one so strange it made even him, a merciless executioner, stand on edge.

Pushing down his fear, the man raised his giant butcher knife in the air, ready to cleave off Dante's head in one fell swoop. But before he could bring it down, he heard a desperate cry.

"STOP!"

Before the man could even react, he felt a small figure collide with him, sending him stumbling back. But as the figure was so light, the man didn't even fall over.

As the man looked towards the source of impact, he saw the figure of a small slave not at his feet.

In an instant, the man was enraged.

"A mere slave boy! You actually dare to interrupt me!"

The boy in question didn't even react to the mana creams as the charge and collision just now had completely winded him, leaving him gasping desperately for air.

Seeing the pitiful appearance, the executioner just scowled as he raised his knife, ready to kill the boy in one move.

But just before he could bring it down, he felt a firm hand on his shoulder as a cold voice rang out in the cave.

"You shouldn't play with those things. You can kill someone with these, you know.."

...

Dante had just finished setting the ground rules for his Dragons. When he felt the world of his mental space spin.

Instantly, the entire space began to whirl as Dante found himself zooming into a black void and before he knew it, he was back in reality.

Confused, Dante just looked around and found himself in a giant crater.

But before Dante could come to a conclusion, he heard a devious roar to his side .

"A mere slave boy! You actually dare to interrupt me!"

Dante looked towards the origin of the voice and frowned

An executioner.

The first time Dante landed in this place, he thought he killed them all, but surprisingly, it seemed like one managed to slip through his fingers.

As Dante saw the man, a cruel expression appeared on his face.

'We'll seeing as an enemy is here already, we may as well blow off some steam thought Dante

he then quickly reached out to grab the man as he spoke

"You shouldn't play with those things, " said Dante reaching towards the blade

"you can kill someone with these, you know."

Hearing these words, the guard's anger was just pushed even higher.

Everyone here were only slaves and yet they seemed hell-bent on annoying him today!

"Who on earth dares!"

But the executioner barely said a few words before he was stunned into silence as he turned around to see a horned monstrosity staring straight back at him.

Seeing the man's fear, Dante's toothy smile curled up even further.

Before the man could even plead for mercy, Dante's claw plunged straight through his chest as the executioner burst into flames.

The nearby slaves all cowered in fear as they watched this horrific death, But Dante didn't pay any attention to them.

Right after dealing with the executioner, Dante knew he couldn't afford to play around any longer.

Within an instant, he appeared back at the side of Rebecca.

Her condition was still just as bad as when he first saw her, but fortunately, it didn't get any worse than when he first left.

What Dante didn't know was that the time flow between Dante's mental space and the outside world was greatly different.

What felt like hours inside of Dante's mind was in fact only a few minutes of time in the real world.

But even as he was lucky enough to find that Rebecca's condition had not worsened, a frown still remained on Dante's face.

Now that his Dracolich soul was unlocked, Dante could see the death element in a way he had never been able to before.

And this is why he was so disturbed.

'The death energy inside her… I can't cure it!'

Dante was actually starting to worry now.

The techniques the corpse master used were way more insidious than he expected.

At first Dante just thought that Rebecca's state was caused by the death energy mixing with her energy and possibly even a bit of her blood, so whilst this may be hard to treat, it wasn't completely incurable.

But now, with Dante's increased perception, he could see that Rebecca's situation wasn't that simple.

The death energy in Rebecca was like a parasite, burrowing deep into her body and intertwining with everything it came across .

In the short time that Rebecca had been afflicted with this condition, the death energy had merged with her so deeply that it was basically inseparable. Dante knew that the only way he could remove the death energy would be to completely remove any afflicted parts of the body, but seeing as the death energy in Rebecca was so widespread, such a method would definitely kill her.

So, at least for Dante's current strength, Rebecca's condition was completely incurable!

The more Dante thought about it, the more hopeless he became.

From the Ghost Duke's words, he was definitely a powerhouse beyond the limits of the little knowledge Dante had about the world. So Dante guessed whatever technique the corpse master used to afflict Rebecca was, it was definitely given to him by the Ghost Duke!

For the first time since he came to this world, Dante was actually regretting killing someone.

If he hadn't killed the Ghost Duke, he would definitely know the way to tear Rebecca and this situation could have been completely avoided!

'No!' Thought Dante

He had to calm down.

Now was not the time to be wallowing in regrets. Rebecca was dying and his regrets weren't going to cure it.

His eyes burned with a green glow as his Dracolich soul was stimulated.

It was then Dante suddenly realised something.

'Just because I can't cure her condition doesn't mean I can't stall it!'
