Before Duke even realised what was going on,  a black bone mouth wrapped in green flames consumed His vision.

And instantly he was swallowed whole!

As soon as the Ghost Duke realised what was happening, he roared in denial

"You can't do this to me! I a, a great duke of the negative plain, refuse to die in such a backwater planet! I refuse!"

Dante just watched the dukes struggle with a pair of cold, unmoving eyes.

Looking back at it, it wasn't like Dante wasn't tempted by the offer.

On the contrary, such an offer at overwhelming strength would be enough to tempt anybody, and the Ghost Dukes terrifying background made his words all the more believable.

But in the end it was this terrifying background that made Dante reject the proposal in the first place.

Dante wasn't a fool.

If the words of the Ghost Duke were to be believed, then he knew that he had truly caught the Ghost Duke with his pants down.

If it were in the Duke's prime, then the current Dante wouldn't even be fit to look in his direction.

To think someone of such standing and power would willingly help without trying something nefarious in the dark wasn't just hopeful thinking it was plain delusion.

If Dante were to accept the Ghost duke's offer then he'd have to watch his back for all sorts of tricks and attacks that the Ghost Duke would try.

Instead of having that trouble, Dante would rather live with the peace of mind knowing that he couldn't randomly be tricked into death at any moment.

And besides, it wasn't like the death of the Ghost duke was completely useless

Dante just watched the transformation of his Dracolich in disbelief. It really was a top tier undead creature. Just looking at it caused Dante to feel a certain level of discomfort, and this was his personal Dragon soul! The level of disgust for this held by others could only be imagined. But even the slight discomfort that Dante held at the Dragon soul was quickly overwhelmed by the anticipation of what sort of new powers would be unlocked

Dante was especially impressed with the creature's twisted abilities .

But before Dante could plan what to do next, a terrifying roar shook the mid space.  It was the Red Dragon soul.

Currently, the Red Dragon Soul was furious. Draconic flames swirled around his body, only increasing with power as each second passed

A Dracolich, a disgusting taint on the dragon species, was actually in front of him.

The creature's mere presence was a blasphemy against the gods, a blasphemy against himself!

Such a vile creature had to be destroyed without  any exceptions!

But what surprised Dante was that this wasn't just the behaviour of the Red Dragon soul alone.

His Red Dragon soul was easy to anger, cruel and impulse driven But the Silver Dragon soul was different.

As a good natured dragon, it was normally well behaved that barely gave Dante any problems.

But right now this Dragon was quietly floating next to the Red Dragon soul. Its blue Draconic eyes glowed In an uncharacteristically cruel light.

Dante just looked at his two dragon souls and then back at the Dracolich and shook his head in disbelief.

He  knew that Dracolichs were universally disliked amongst dragon kind, but he didn't know it was actually this bad

The Dracolich, who was the cause of all this trouble in the first place, was just crouched on the ground nervously.

If it was just a one-on-one fight, the Dracolich wouldn't back down. He wasn't afraid to fight anyone, but against two dragons of the same level, he could only helplessly be beaten.

Eventually, the Red Dragon just couldn't stand the appearance of the Dracolich any longer
