28 – Bloodshed

“Everyone, are you all right? When I asked why they gave me the torch….”

Nathan’s voice came from the darkness.

It was so dark inside that you couldn’t see anything without a light.

It seemed to fall randomly somewhere in the dungeon while passing through the dimensional gate.

Food the deodeok.

The sound of flapping wings came from nearby.

“Kyaaah!”

It was Echina’s scream.

I used divine light to illuminate my surroundings. I saw the members of the crew who were flustered in the dark.

Leae was caressing the wall, and Echina was sitting at the sound of flapping wings.

Cleod was sweeping the floor with his hand, as if he had dropped his backpack.

Nathan was lowering his stance with his hands and legs spread wide, which made me laugh out loud.

“Heh heh, everyone seems to be very flustered.”

I was acclimatized to the dark by hunting demons. As the original senses disappeared one by one, the other senses became sharper.

In a place where you can’t see, you just need to focus on your senses of hearing and smell.

The members looked at each other awkwardly and cleared their throats.

“Let’s move slowly.”

Dungeons were artificially created spaces. The interior was made of bricks, so it literally felt more like an underground fortress than a cave.

I walked forward illuminated by divine light. The dungeon was like a labyrinth, with multiple paths coming out. It didn’t matter much where it went. I had to go around and collect keys.

Less than 10 minutes after entering the dungeon, I bumped into another Joe who was turning the corner.

The first thing I saw was a man with a sword and a torch.

The man raised a torch and signaled his crew to stop.

Because I was turning the corner, I couldn’t see anyone other than the man.

“Heh heh, are you going to fight?”

The man turned his head around the corner to chat with the unseen crew.

“We have no intention of fighting…. What?”

The man turned his head and had a conversation, as if he couldn’t coordinate his opinions with his teammates.

“I’m sorry, but we are rather confident in our skills. So….”

He stopped talking and talked to Jo Won again. Apparently, the leader and powerhouse seemed to be hiding behind a corner.

“Why are you acting so frustrating?”

A being hiding inside the corner came out and said. A very angry face.

“Because we win…. Yes? Mr. Gran?”

It was Chloe who came out of the corner.

She looked a bit flustered, and I didn’t expect her to come out either.

“Hmm…. Chloe or maybe you forgot her modesty.”

“Ah, that….”

She smiled shyly, scratching her cheek with her index finger.

“Why, who are you? Anyone know?”

Chloe didn’t even answer the man’s question.

“I’m sorry. We are then….”

“Heh heh, where are you going?”

Unfortunately, there was no such thing as a key, but information was obtained that there was nothing in the direction they came from.

She suggested that I go out with her.

I declined her offer because I didn’t intend to travel with another Joe.

After releasing Chloe, we moved in the original direction.

Soon there was a room we wanted. It was a room where the key came out, and a room where you didn’t know what it might be.

The room was barricaded with iron bars.

“No, it’s blocked….”

Leae looked at the barricade and said.

Nathan shakes the bars, but she doesn’t budge.

Cleod and Echina searched around the bars in their own way to find a way to open them.

The way to open the iron bars was simple.

“Heh heh, please come out for a moment.”

“Ah, there is a way.”

Nathan, who was shaking the bars, nodded her head and backed away.

Kaang! Caang! Caang!

I grabbed the barbed wire and rocked it back and forth, and it came out like a rattling tooth.

“Pears, snakes!”

Echinan shouted urgently and pointed to the floor.

The floor was full of snakes, small in size but very fast. The peculiar thing is that the snakes also seemed to have no intention of escaping from the room, as if they were artificially created.

“How do I get in there?”

In the back of the room was a small box. It was a box that anyone could see contained a key.

Snakes swarmed both on the floor and in the box, flicking their tongues.

“Heh heh, I go there alone.”

I stepped into the room. It felt like stepping on a snake. With a crackling sound, I approached the box.

The snakes screeched and charged at my ankles.

It bit my ankle and I felt a sting.

“Hmm, looks like a paralyzing poison.”

“That, is that okay?”

Since it wasn’t a real snake, I couldn’t tell if it was really poisonous, but I felt like my senses were dulled at the site of the bite.

When I opened the box, there was a key that glowed golden. When I touched the key, the snakes on the box bit my wrist.

Ignoring the snakes, I took the key and ran outside.

“You don’t have to look at me like that. I have a purification spell.”

I used a 3rd tier purification spell.

“It’s tough…. I didn’t expect you to just leave while being bitten by a snake.”

“Heh heh, I wanted to pass on how much poison he had. If everyone is curious, it’s okay to take a bite. It might help you grow.”

The crew shook their heads violently.

We moved again to find the next key.

The path inside the dungeon was complicated. The road was multi-pronged and wider than expected.

In contrast, the structure was simple. There were several roads stretching, and there were rooms with keys in the middle.

Each room had different characteristics. The first room was full of snakes, and the second room had a trap that tied the wrists of the person who opened the box.

The trap was easily resolved with force. Unfortunately, the key didn’t come out from the second room.

We found the third room.

The room was blocked by a stone door. Pulling the lever right in front of you to the right raised the stone door upwards. If you pull it to the left again, the stone door will come down.

Inside, there were 3 Goblins, a demonic race.

It really looked like it was modeled after a goblin. His behavior was not particularly goblin-like. I only felt like a guardian guarding the box.

Originally, the racial characteristic was to giggle while making a snarky sound, but it seems that it has not been expressed up to that point.

Anyway, I passed the opportunity to my team members.

Even if it was artificially created, I thought it would be a good experience to kill a creature that walked on two legs.

Ekinawa, Leah, and Nathan each took charge of one goblin and rushed. In the back, Cleod provided cover.

Nathan moved deftly, dodged the goblin’s blunt sword, and then blew his jaw off.

Liae took her sword and gently stabbed the goblin in the neck.

Echina cut off her head with the goblin’s blunt sword head on.

As soon as the goblins were mortally wounded, they disappeared without shedding a drop of blood.

“Eh, I didn’t do anything.”

Cleod retracted his bow and said.

“Then check the box for the key.”

Cleod nodded and took a key from the box. This brings us to two keys.

Koo Kung!

The moment I turned and went outside, the stone door was closed.

“Go, trapped.”

From noble mtl dot com

“Oh, really? Who closed it?”

“Huh? Was the box a trap?”

Even though they were locked in the room, they had a conversation without much tension. At the end, the members’ eyes turned to me.

Quang!

I kicked and broke the stone door.

“Huh?”

Then I met eyes with a woman who was holding on to the lever.

“So you imprisoned us.”

She watched me blankly for a moment. Then he checked the broken stone door.

“Whoa, is it really broken?”

“Heh heh, the original head won’t break.”

She drew her sword and stepped behind her.

“You don’t have to be too nervous. If you hand over the key you found, there will be no bloodshed.”

Our goal was a quick escape, not a battle. If you start taking it by force….

Because the other groups won’t be able to see the proper evaluation.

“We don’t have keys….”

“It is not good to lie. To shut the door without a key.”

“I don’t really have….”

“Then you must take responsibility for forcibly closing the door.”

“Who is that….”

I rushed at the opponent before Nathan finished speaking outside.

“Oh, here they come!”

I blocked the sword of the woman in the front with my arm and struck her in the abdomen.

“Keah!”

“Even now it is not too late.”

“Because there really isn’t….”

The woman collapsed and said.

“Then we must hear why you imprisoned us.”

I asked the man standing behind her.

He averted my gaze and cast a saving glance at his men.

“That…. Trying to keep you in check….”

“Ha ha, do you know how many Joes are in this dungeon? There is nothing they can gain by holding us in check.”

“Gran! Shall we help too?”

“Heh heh, no. It will be over soon.”

Looking at their expressions, it didn’t seem like they were lying. There didn’t seem to be a key, and it seemed true that they were trying to keep it in check.

“Hmm…. Then I will have no choice but to keep that group in check.”

“What does that mean?”

“It will be a little sore.”

“aaagh!”

I knocked out all five of them and put them in the room.

“Now then, let’s go find the remaining keys.”
