A Wish to Grab Happiness

Episode Eight: A New Vow and Unwanted Reunion

"So it's a cathedral...?

Half-open your mouth and round your eyes as you drop the bite cigarette on the floor.

Cathedral. In this country, Garrist, it is a religious organization under the direct authority of the King, and in Garrist, the general population belongs to the Cathedral Church. The name Cathedral has become so rusty that its name as its original religion, the Cathedral, has become so much more than settled.

Naturally I do, too, but I don't remember getting any help, especially even though I'm a god. I remember hearing about them collecting money as a half-territorial organization under the King's direct jurisdiction.

"Yes, the cathedral. I didn't know you had magic skills, but I do. Uh, he said it was for the nurturing of England. It will be good. I think I'm happier than being bought by some millionaire or something."

When he finished wrapping the bandage, Arueno rolled up in his early mouth. He was also proud at first glance and seemed to push and kill anxiety somewhere.

My head stays confused and I don't work right now. Cathedral. That would, of course, be more favourable than any other as a personal contractor. I don't want to use my body or my spirit as badly as any other recipient.

But it's still odd. The cathedral also has almost superior nobility or equivalent authority and direct jurisdiction. Why do so many organizations suddenly surround every child in the orphanage?

"... Arueno's magic skills seem special. His Holiness has always cared for him. I don't know much about the inside, but it doesn't make it worse."

Mr. Nines said so to add to Arueno's words while slightly lowering his eyes.

Arueno peeks into my face, making me squirm.

"Look, you can be happier. Childhood training is going to the cathedral. I don't care if it's full."

"... If that's normal, I'd be delighted. After all, Mr. Nines handed it to me or something."

Speak up as you receive the golden eyes that stare. I didn't mean it that way, but I got a voice that I was surprised and suspicious of.

Mr. Nines grinned slightly.

"Speak up like you doubt people. Of course I'm not a good guy, but I'm not a bad guy who falls for cute kids."

Blinking the cleavage's eyes, Mr. Nines also sits in a chair. The look is as usual and there is no place to grasp it. Yes, it has been for a long time. How far is a joke, and I have no idea where it's coming from. That doesn't mean I can't put my credibility down. Oddly enough, there are handouts. But I'm not going to tell you what it is. Mysterious, uncharacteristic person. That was a woman named Nines.

"Oh, right. You're right, Rugis. I was the one who talked to the church. But... I didn't know you'd be surrounded by the cathedral itself. This is what happens."

I nodded unexpectedly at the words and agreed.

Cathedral refers to two meanings, one being the Cathedral itself. The other is the home that exists in the cathedral direct jurisdiction. I am referring to a place that can be called the Grand Episcopal Grand Main Mountain, which draws a line with the churches made throughout the Kingdom of Garrist.

"Cathedral means. Does Arueno end up in the north?"

"I can't believe it's the end of the North. You just have to think I'm going to go to bridesmaid training for a bit. Yeah, I don't mind!

Before Mr. Nines answered, Arueno ate the words.

My fingertips tremble picking up dropped bite cigarettes. Biting his cheek, his brain moved uninhabited.

Oh, my God. If you think you've met a thinker, the person in question is far away and goes as far as the northern earth. If it were a cathedral, it would be so easy to meet. Really, the exchange of letters is sophisticated. If that happens, the next time we meet in person, no doubt. On the journey of salvation.

No. That's all I can't do. If that happens, it's a repeat of the same thing. That man. A man named Savior takes everything away from me. That's all I can't accept. I came back here not to repeat myself.

Tighten your lips tightly. Strengthen your gaze. While the body is tense, the head is exploring the means it can take.

"... Well, that's kind of surprising. I can't believe Rugis would look that serious. You don't mind taking it any easier, do you?

Or, as you will miss me, tear it up, Arueno added.

"You bet. If I didn't, I wouldn't look like this."

Respond that way while keeping your neck down.

Arueno smiled, as surprised, like a mixture of loneliness and joy. I hope it wasn't my delusion that there was joy in it.

White cheeks were slightly reddish.

"... Yeah, I don't mind, Rugis, you too. Then be a fine adventurer."

"Right, that's the best part"

Whilst Mr. Nines adds that, I deal with the words.

"This country has a lot to reward for its proven adventurers. That is also the example of the adventurer Permilis, who was pardoned baptism by the Cathedral. The more you grow up as an adventurer, the easier it will be to meet Arueno."

It's easy for me to say. The world of adventurers is no different than fattening. How dare you make it there? That's like grabbing a star floating in heaven. In the meantime, more or less people lose their lives, more or less they fall. To succeed, it's not just strength, it's a profession that needs the help of a goddess of destiny and momentum.

Standing up on the spot, I move my shoulders gently and try to pull them like I did earlier. No more pain.

"I'll do this, Arueno"

From the nostalgia, throw the confectionery in the bag to Arueno. Though upset, she shook it up with her chest.

"You liked it, that. This time the reward disappeared with this one."

He shows his teeth and laughs as he flickers his chewing cigarette. Like being stuck, Arueno laughed, too.

"True, you're an idiot. For a long time. Thank you, I'll taste it carefully. Are you staying today?

Mr. Nines seemed to be willing to do the same, and the bed would be empty, pointing me to the back room. But that's not how it works. Yes, I can't be more immersed in memories of the past than I've heard about this.

"No. I'm sorry, but I'll be right back. Look, me. I have to grow up as an adventurer. Next time you see him, watch him, Arueno. Maybe he's a knight."

I said that clearly, laughing at her throat.

Arueno opens his eyes for a moment and opens his mouth with a bewildered but somewhere relieved look.

"Well, don't worry. I'll wait for you, Rugis. I'll give this to the future knight."

A thin finger touches his wrist and a pale red handkerchief winds up. Surely this must have been Arueno's favorite. I remember taking care of it like a treasure from an early age.

You noticed my bewildered gaze, and after wrapping the handkerchief around, Arueno snorted.

"It's fine. I don't know if I can bring any personal effects over there."

Besides, yeah. she added.

"Hehe. A lady lends a handkerchief to the knight, and the knight wears it and fights, returning it alive to the lady. Chivalry romance, isn't it? I don't mind if I take my place."

"Totally. You can't do it, it's true"

While walking down the street, looking at the wrist handkerchief makes me laugh unexpectedly zero. I talk like an idiot, but I feel the presence of Arueno.

Nothing, I didn't have the ambition to be Daisheng as an adventurer because I was back in the past. There's no substitute for me being me. Just because you have the knowledge, it's impossible for an ordinary husband to be a genius. Dove rats never become beautiful cats.

But not if you're crying like that more than this happened. That must no longer be the case. To see Arueno again, not to repeat the same future.

With such a new desire in his heart, he opens the door to the tavern.

"Oops, Rugis......"

Rarely, a master who barely spoke from himself called out. I scratch my jaw as I raise my gaze.

"Guest..."

See where the master's fingers point to so that they can stick.

Behind the store, an upscale table. There was Karia Birdnick, who created a distorted and intimidating grin, like putting a thin horizontal line in her face.

Renew your resolve, but I could die here.
