Chapter 327 Gaunt’s Old House

"I can feel that we are getting close to it, almost one by one," Dumbledore said in an excited tone.

Ethan and Dumbledore walked over a wooden signpost sticking out of the thorn bushes on the left side of the path.

The wooden road sign consisted of two directional arrows, and in the direction of the road the two came from, it read: Great Hangleton, 5 miles.

On the other side it says: Little Hangleton 1 mile.

The two walked along a path lined with tall hedges.

Then, the path turned left and went straight down the hillside. A valley appeared in front of the two of them at a glance.

Ethan saw a village, undoubtedly Little Hangleton, nestled between two steep hillsides, with its church and cemetery clearly visible.

On the hillside across the valley, there is a very dilapidated large house, surrounded by large areas of tall weeds.

And this is the destination of Ethan and Dumbledore's trip, the old house of the Gaunt family.

The road to the old house was a narrow dirt road, and the hedges on both sides were taller and denser than the ones the two of them passed just now.

The dirt road was winding, pitted, and full of rocks. It was as steep as the path just now, and seemed to lead to a small patch of dark woods below.

This old house looked extremely decayed. A huge tree in the yard blocked all the sunlight from the old house. The old tree cast a cool, dark and dense shadow, which made the old house look eerie.

The walls were covered with moss, and many of the tiles on the roof had fallen off, exposing here and there the inner rafters. Nettles grew thickly around the house, reaching up to the windows, which were very small and covered with thick layers of old dirt.

Ethan found an obvious big hole in the roof. A plant protruded from the hole. It could be seen that no one lived in this house.

What attracted the most attention was the dried corpse of a dead snake nailed to the door of the house.

As soon as he approached the house, the pendant around Ethan's neck began to vibrate crazily.

This means that there is a lot of magic in this old house.

In fact, there was no need for the pendant to remind him. Standing in front of the old house, Ethan himself could feel the smell of black magic.

Ethan twitched his nose exaggeratedly, "The stench of black magic." Ethan muttered.

"It seems that Voldemort doesn't want us to come in." Dumbledore said calmly.

"All curses end" Dumbledore raised the Elder Wand and whispered to the old house.

As soon as Dumbledore finished speaking, there was a dense crackling sound in the old house.

The old house made an overwhelmed creaking sound and dust was flying, as if it was about to fall down any moment.

But in the end, Laozhai survived.

"I think we can go in and have a look," Dumbledore said.

The two walked forward, and as soon as Ethan's feet stepped on the wooden floor of the porch, a hole was made.

The wooden floor has completely rotted away due to age.

Ethan and Dumbledore arrived at the door one step at a time. Dumbledore was about to push the door open when he was stopped by Ethan.

Dumbledore looked at Ethan with some confusion, and Ethan pointed to the top of the door frame with his finger.

There is a thin line there that is very imperceptible.

"All Curses can only solve magic traps. Obviously Voldemort also placed many traps in the house." Ethan said.

With that said, Ethan gently untied the knot, and a sputtering sound came from behind the door.

At this time, Ethan carefully opened the door. There were several slender crossbow arrows scattered on the ground in front of the door.

It seems that this is the mechanism that Ethan just cracked.

The house seemed to have three small rooms in total. The large room in the middle also served as the kitchen and living room, and there were two doors leading to other rooms.

Ethan covered his nose, everything in the room was rotten, and the stench filled the whole room.

The ground was sticky and dark.

The room was covered with spider webs, and the black spiders looked fat and fat. The room had become a paradise for insects.

There was a large iron pot with a broken bottom upside down on the stove in the kitchen.

The sink to the left of the stove was filled with jars of various sizes that were in a mess. Some of the jars seemed to have something moving dark inside.

Other jars were filled with unknown, foul-smelling liquids, and Ethan didn't want to figure out what they were.

The two of them carefully explored the broken room. Ethan bent down or raised his hand from time to time to solve one trap after another.

At this moment, an extremely strong feeling of being spied on suddenly flashed through Ethan's heart from behind.

Ethan turned his head in an instant, and a figure seemed to flash past deep in the corridor.

"I'll go take a look!" Ethan said to Dumbledore.

He drew out his long sword, the sword in his right hand, and the staff in his left hand and walked cautiously deeper into the corridor.

At this moment, Ethan's demon hunting senses were fully activated, and he carefully scanned every inch of the room.

Unfortunately, except for mosquitoes, rats, and toads, Ethan didn't feel any living creatures.

Ethan finally reached the bottom of the corridor, where all the rooms were empty.

The furniture inside was also completely rotten and in disrepair.

And Ethan finally found the source of the figure just now, which was a mirror.

This mirror was already blurry. Even if Ethan stood in front of the mirror, Ethan's appearance would still be blurry.

Ethan was confused, his hunch was correct, someone was indeed spying on him just now.

Dumbledore searched every inch of the room, trying to find Gaunt's ring.

This was really important to Dumbledore.

At this moment, Dumbledore suddenly heard a very familiar voice that he had thought about day and night.

"Brother." Dumbledore looked forward in disbelief.

A girl with blond hair and a blue dress looked at him blankly and tenderly.

"Brother, have you finally come to me?" the blonde girl said softly.

"Ariana?" Dumbledore murmured.

"But how is this possible?" Dumbledore said confused.

"Brother, help me!" The girl's voice suddenly became shrill, and she reached out to Dumbledore.

Dumbledore subconsciously wanted to hold the girl's hand, and he stretched his hand forward.

When Ethan heard Dumbledore's voice, he knew something was wrong.

He quickly rushed to Dumbledore, and happened to see Dumbledore about to put on a gold ring with black gems on it.

"Alder!" Ethan shot a seal at Dumbledore without thinking.

The seal hit Dumbledore, knocking him to the ground, and the ring rolled to the ground.

"You!" Dumbledore roared angrily. He looked at Ethan angrily, his expression distorted with anger.
