Why don't you build a village on top of the world tree

Lesson 7: Kramt Village Redevelopment Plan

The Salatin city I haven't visited in a long time was as busy as before.

The last time I came was roughly a year ago, not long enough to change things dramatically, but I am emotional that Mr. Flengs evoked the memory of four years of apprenticeship and learning.

"Salatin 'city is a gathering of crops from the surrounding villages, so I hear the food is good."

Melmie peeks into the restaurant in an intriguing way.

Unlike Richay, she doesn't work for my office, but this time she accompanies Melmie's father because he pushed her to show him his work elsewhere once.

As Melmie put it, the Salatin city serves as a staging ground for crops in surrounding villages, with profits from exporting it further to Yoinsley, or tax revenues from markets where another village trades with each other within the city, being the main source of income.

In addition, there are restaurants that target tourists from Yoinsley, and the food is reputed to be delicious. Let me tell you from the experience I actually lived in for four years, my reputation is right. Since mushrooms imported from Yoinsley are also treated as ingredients, there are more varieties of flavours than in other cities.

I knock on the front door of Mr. Flengs' house, the house of interest, while I retrieve the references given to me by the orphan dean of Joynesley.

"Yes, yes, I can open it now."

I hear a familiar voice and the front door opens.

A woman in the same apron as the first time I met her looked at me at the front door and turned her eyes round.

"Oh, Amane, isn't that you? Maybe a year?

"It's been a while, Mr. Cyry. I'm sorry I came by so suddenly."

Upon the meeting, Mr. Cyry happily made a wrinkle in his eye butt and looked at Richay and Melmie standing behind me.

"Well, Amane, if you do, bring two girls. Did you become a player on the skyscraper? Auntie, I'm so sad."

"The blonde has Richay, who is in charge of administrative accounting in my office. You wrote that in your letter, didn't you?

"This girl? I can't believe you're such a beauty. You didn't write a word in your letter. Besides, who's your active, cute kid?

"It's Melmie. He's an engineer who works with us a lot, and this time he's been accompanied by the manager of the shop."

"Really? I thought that was exactly what I had to do with bringing him all the way from Yoinsley. Look, you can't keep a girl waiting. Get inside."

Mr. Cyry says no. No. Richay and Melmie can go around behind him, push his back and push him into the house.

I'm about to be pulled into the house before I'm even satisfied with my introduction yet, and Richay starts panicking.

"Chi, wait, wait"

"I won't wait. Amane, you're like a son. There's no way I'm not bringing the girl my son brought home. I've got a lot to ask, and I'm never gonna let you get away with it."

Yeah, it remains the mother's response the first time my son brought her here. This is useless to defy.

"Grandpa Shizu. Well, this is Amane's training place."

Looks like Melmie decided to take an active ride without defying the strength of Mr. Cyry's push.

Melmie, who took off her shoes and went inside, disappears into the living room as Mr. Cyry guides her. Richay, who had been pushed on the back all along, also went straight inside.

I'll call inside and take off my shoes.

"-If you think it's noisy, Amane."

As I went inside, the door to the work room opened and Mr. Frangs, the blush head, came out.

"Cyry's guy, think about his age. Like a young woman."

Mr. Flengs, who tried to enter the living room at his usual rate, shut his mouth as surprised to see Richay and Melmie there, looked at me with open eyes and shook his right hand left and right at that height.

"You had to have been pressed to marry a kid like Konkin Cho before. When did you start hooking up with a good woman?"

"Let's pick a word. He's my clerical accountant and my business partner's craftsman."

"It is. I thought you noticed the color a while ago."

Saying it like it's boring, Mr. Friends turns to me.

"So, what's up with the sudden visit?

"I have deposited a letter of reference from the orphan dean of Yoinsley. I would like to participate in the redevelopment plan for the village of Kramt."

When he gave the reference he had prepared, Mr. Flengs narrowed his eyes.

"Did you start getting references? Looks like you've earned a lot of credit even though it's only been a year."

"When I rebuilt the orphanage, I did it on a thin margin, and the orphan director seemed to feel sorry for it, so he introduced me."

"The Bishop's pen isn't lighter than that."

Having carefully read the references, Mr. Flengs carefully weaves them into his pockets.

"Cyry, make me some tea. They're going to show us where their disciples are in public. Pocahontas at best, don't push it in front of you right now."

"I wish I could honestly say I'm happy to work with you, you're a pain in the ass"

"Silly. Take care of yourself for half a serving. It's just more hassle."

"Come on, don't say so much in front of your apprentice's girlfriend candidate. I'm gonna skip dinner, okay?

"Oh, hey, wait a minute. There won't be anything like that."

To Mr. Flengs, who panicked as soon as possible, Mr. Cyry snapped his nose and pulled into the kitchen.

That's right, I just handsomely brought Mr. Friends, who has a reputation for bigotry and stubbornness, into my marriage with just his cooking arm.

Mr. Friengs, who looks anxious to see what Mr. Cyry looks like when he disappears into the kitchen, is carefully lowering his eyebrows.

"You're not really gonna pull it out, are you?

"It's up to you. Let's talk about work."

"Oh, wow."

And then Mr. Flengs, who sat in the chair, coughed up so he could get his mind back on it, and he looked at me.

"What the hell? I have cancer. Sit down. I'll tell you what's going on. Keep it in mind."

The situation spoken after such words could not be said to be flattering.

"There are many elderly people living in the village of Kramt. The need to rebuild an aging building has shown me an understanding in itself, but I'm not convinced by any design I propose. I can't accept any of the fashion designs yesterday."

"By the way, can you show me that design document?

"Wait a minute."

Having said that, Mr. Flengs headed to the study, he immediately returned with a thick bunch of paper.

"All fourteen proposals, all eating rejection"

All the design documents I was given were calm designs while incorporating the fashion of yesterday. To be honest, I don't think I can suggest any better ideas at this stage.

Nod again and again as Melmie turned the bundle of paper and was impressed. From an artisan's point of view, it seems like a good idea.

But I don't know if it's all rejected.

"Why was it rejected?

"I think the best place to stay is right now. But you rebuilt it exactly the same way. Then you won't say anything about a redevelopment plan. The aim of this redevelopment plan is to combat the marginalization of the village of Kramt. Until now, the village on the street will not stop being neglected."

"What do the inhabitants of the village of Kramt say about marginalization?

"I also know that it shouldn't be like this," he said. That's why I don't think I'm going to drink this plan. "

Octagonal blockage, Mr. Flengs scratches his head.

As far as listening, I feel that the Kramt Village Residents' stance is very skewed.

"Maybe the people in the village of Kramt have vague anxieties they can't even speak for themselves. I have anxiety, so I want to maintain the status quo."

"Even if we maintain the status quo, in the end it will only become a village where marginalization has progressed and only the elderly have been left behind. We're slowly doomed."

"It's not reason, it's emotion theory. I guess that's how it's safer for people in the village of Kramt to perish slowly. At least you can see ahead."

The only way to talk about this is to discuss it directly with the residents.

This plan is a redevelopment. In order to be accepted as a prerequisite for change, it is first promoted from vague anxiety to linguistic anxiety, and together it is the best shortcut by looking far to work out a way to overcome anxiety.

"Before we discuss this with the people in the village of Kramt, I'd like to check the basics, okay?

Ask me anything.

"Why is this plan not led by the village of Kramt, but by the church in Salatin city?

I've been wondering since I heard from Dean Orphan.

"You mean that," Mr. Flengs muttered as he stroked his jaw.

"The village of Kramt is neglected, but it's not like the inhabitants evaporated. Residents are coming to Salatin City to earn money. In other words, it is now like the city of Salatin has accepted one village without prior preparation."

"Overpopulation, is it?

"That's right. It's not like I don't have a job, but it's a form of driving the influx. I can work if I want to. Earnings are slightly more than farming in the village of Kramt. It's not bad for Salatin 'City as a whole to have a worker. But if people come, there's water. I have food. I have a house. Salatin' is not a city with strength enough to keep it all ready."

So you're saying you want to eliminate population overcrowding for Salatin cities?

If the Salatin city itself embarks on a redevelopment plan, the ostensible church is moving because other villages and towns may also have voices to expect support as to whether they will only favour the village of Kramt.

I'm getting the situation.

"I will now go to the village of Kramt"

Fit me up from the chair, and Richay and Melmie get up, too.

But Mr. Cyry back from the kitchen caught Richay's wrist.

"Are you going now? Please take your time. Amane at Yoinsley. I want to hear more about your life. How's that kid doing with the rice? The man will be lying on the sidelines any minute, so worry about it."

"Uh..."

Richay gets stuck in words and makes his gaze wander. After hearing Mr. Cyry's worries, I guess it's hard to say that the woman herself has me cooking a meal almost every day.

Melmie smiles and cuts off Richay's life line before I open my mouth to rescue Richay, who sends her eye contact to me.

"Richay eats amane handcooking every day, doesn't he? I can't cook myself. So much so that I was burning trying to make a corn hoe."

"Melmie, do something extra again!

Richay rushes to block it, but it's too late.

Mr. Cyry holds Richay's hand much harder.

"I won't listen to you. You were a clerical accountant, weren't you? Just fine. My aunt does administrative accounting for my husband, too, so I'll tell you a lot. A lot."

Mr. Cyry pulls Richay and disappears into the kitchen.

Woe to you. If I do, I can't help you.

Leave Richay in the dead, and Melmie walks out to the front door with a bare face.

"Come on, Amane, let's go to the crime scene. Come on, let's go, let's go now. No."

"Sometimes I'm afraid of Melmie."

"Stupid! I can't believe you're scared to catch Mr. Melmie so bright and energetic and carrying a smile on people."

At least, I was just taking a smile off Richay.

The village of Kramt in question was indeed one in which ageing buildings stood out.

At the same time that we can see at a glance how old it is, it is now understandable that the inhabitants of this ageing village were created when they were young.

First of all, the stairs are stairs high, step by step. The tread is also narrow. It's made from the beginning that I wouldn't assume that my legs would stop going up the way I think they would. Perhaps I planned to rebuild it before I got older, but why am I being left alone?

The reason for this was discovered in public discourse with Kramt residents.

"Is it an alternative?

"Oh, my first architect died of a disease. My son succeeded me, but he went missing in a fall. So, an architect was sent by Joynesley, but I guess I wasn't familiar with the village. It's like living in a Salatin city and only coming to the village when you need it."

I am convinced by the testimony of the villagers that they will be eight hundred and fifty this year.

"I heard you talking, but you hardly have any young people. Village field work or something, is it tough?

Fields built high are filled with rotten soil in a wooden frame. They grow corn, the staple food in this world that resembles corn, and now I see it blooming.

I can't even do a lot of field work without getting to the top of a staircase where the elderly are likely to climb and descend.

The water storage facility is also a poor minister, probably hoarding the morning dew accumulated in the leaves of the world trees in the water intake yard in a wooden pot, as I was doing when I lived in the village properly, and staying in the field. Even I don't really want to go up and down those stairs with a wooden pot with water working out there.

"Is it about three round-trips in a field with water?"

"Seven round trips. If I can carry a wooden pot filled with water, I'll have to go back and forth, but my back's gone bad."

The hips of the villagers who say so are indeed bent.

There seems to be no doubt that you are experiencing inconvenience with the current state of the village. And we can also talk specifically about inconvenience.

Why do we still not accept the redevelopment plan?

"Do you have attachments or something?

"Well, there is. I was born and raised in this village. But it's not what you think."

"And?

"I've rebuilt every building three times. Something that hasn't changed since I was a kid. It's the location of that field. I have an attachment to the village, but it's a house, and I'm not obsessed."

Increasingly, I don't know why I don't agree to redevelopment. Maybe I just don't like the trendy design yesterday, as Mr Friends really said.

"Can you tell us why you are opposed to the redevelopment plan?

"I'm not against it. I just don't agree. I know the village has to change. But since I've never messed around on such a large scale, you don't know what's gonna happen."

It became a vague story as soon as possible. If I can get this place down to specific words, I can also see ways to improve it......

I pull out the experience of my previous life. Back when I worked for Urban Development Corporation. They gave me the manual and read it out.

What did the manual say when residents couldn't understand? Was it written in the first place?

As I try to remember, Melmie looks at the front door of the residents' house and tilts her neck.

"Grandpa, you live alone. The front door steps aren't too high?

The fall, this, and Mermie point to the front door.

"Can't you go up or something? You want me to make it?

"Ah? Oh, well, it might be convenient if I had one, because the front door is narrow. They'll just take a place around the corner and have trouble putting their shoes away."

I'll see if I can spot the front door. There doesn't seem to be room to set up a township.

"If you want to rebuild it, consider it around there. I got it."

"Seriously, I'd say we're gonna rebuild it."

"Then I'll just make the front door wide?

"... can you do that too?

Inquire as the old man was intrigued and look over the front door.

"My goodness. It's gonna be a little inappropriate, but if you stick out the front door like it's gonna be extended, it's not gonna affect the building."

Melmie urges for more construction by gesturing. Apparently, the idea is to let the front door itself stick out like a front porch.

Somehow, the way we carry the story sounds like a remodeling scam aimed at the elderly.

But the old man looked pretty interested.

"If you can do that, maybe you can do it."

"Whatever else you do, squeeze it. Anything inconvenient? Every step of the stairs is too high, or you put your hands on the wall when you walk around here."

"Oh, there is. The stairs are getting harder to climb and it's been a hundred million years since I've been upstairs. I'll climb up with my hands on the wall."

"It may be difficult to shake the steps, but it will be easier just to put on the railings."

"That might be a good idea. You'll have to store it later. You can't take out what's high up there."

As Melmie turns to the water, the inconvenience of this house keeps coming out. When they built it, they said it was when the old man was about two hundred years old, and because it fits that time, it's impossible now that he doesn't have the strength.

"... oh well"

When I was listening to the conversations between the Mermies, I saw the identity of the anxiety held by the inhabitants of the village of Kramt.

The anxiety that the inhabitants of the village of Kramt feel about the redevelopment plan, it is for fear of the harm of breaking down the present state of habitation.

The exchange on the front porch earlier is a good example. I give up because I can't draw the completion prediction map specifically in my head, so I think about it for the worse.

Accessibility has also been incorporated everywhere in Ms Flengs' proposed plan. But it's probably not explained enough.

I guess the story would have been different if I had illustrated the completion forecast map, as Kanes did in Haratra town.

"Maybe you haven't read the plan for redevelopment?

"I read it. Mr. Friengs, a bridge-builder from Salatin City, gathered us all together to read."

"Did you check the plan with your own eyes?

"Do you think you can read such fine letters? Don't look at the old eye sweetly. You'll see soon enough. More than seven hundred."

Is that what you're saying? Well, there's no way I can draw a complete forecast map specifically, and even if I listen to you, I'll have a good, vague anxiety buildup.

For once, you should also go to the residents who are in favor. Maybe they're reading the plan. If you ask me for my opinion, I can see where I'm satisfied with the plan and where I might be dissatisfied.

"Melmie, you're in good hands."

"Huh? What are you talking about?

Melmie stopped taking the front door dimensions and asked me back. I guess it wasn't something I did consciously.

"Return to the Saratin city for a moment. I can see the problems with the redevelopment plan, and I need to talk to Mr. Friengs."

That's why I decided to take Melmie home to Mr. Friengs in Saratin City.

"We will explain the remodeling later in the redevelopment plan for the village of Kramt"

"Oh well. I'm asking you to let some of what you just said go away."

"I'll take care of it"

Break up with your grandfather and head with Melmie to Salatin City.

The village of Kramt and the city of Salatin are on another branch, so it takes time to come and go even though you can see them at the end of your eyes and nose. This would also be one reason why young people do not want to return to the village of Kramt.

Melmie opens her mouth when she sees the Salatin city on the branch across the street.

"Do you want to cross the bridge?

"I guess so. Mr. Flengs is qualified as a bridge builder, so I think the person in charge will be Mr. Flengs."

I can't bridge it with architectural credentials, so I'm not talking about how I can stick my neck in it, no matter how I raise it.

"That's why, 'cause it's a weird story, but I want Kramt Village's redevelopment plan to be a success"

That's about it if I can help Mr. Friends.

Saratin, we're back to the city. We're on that leg to Mr. Friends' house.

It was just the right time to have dinner, but Richay would remain caught by Mr. Cyry, and it would be lame for Melmie and I to go into the restaurant.

That's why it was Richay and Cyry who were frustrated with the strange objects that cooked and were there to greet Melmie when she arrived at Mr. Flengs' house.

"We have to educate ourselves carefully for ten years. There are too few cooking basics and skills to understand the meaning of the work process. If you take your eyes off it, the cooking procedure goes back and forth and doesn't cook."

Mr. Cyry squeaks. I've never seen this guy hold his head.

They broke eggs into hot water to make boiled eggs. Well, then you can eat.

Melmie takes a bite of the failed dish and looks like she's about to cry.

"It's..."

"You're burning in spots. I did something clever."

Not as challenging as Melmie. I don't have the courage to carry it in my mouth.

Disposing of the failed dishes, Mr. Friends came from the work room.

"- Amane, are you back? How was it, Kramt village?"

"It's not like the epidemic is unacceptable, and he seems afraid it might be more inconvenient than it is right now. I hear you couldn't read the plan because of your old eyes. The only summarised explanation given by Mr. Friengs gathering the inhabitants of the village was the source, and many people did not know the details and became anxious. I think it would be better to push forward and explain how it would be more convenient than how it would change."

"What the hell. I wish you'd told me that."

Mr. Flengs scratches his head and blurs.

"Sometimes an architect seconded by Joynesley moved to Salatin city without taming the village, and he didn't want to be bothered for a detailed explanation. That's what's going on back there."

I'm taking Melmie to the work room with Mr. Friends.

"You might want to review the design a little too. Two drafts were made, one negative proposal adjusted so that the current village appearance remained as much as possible, the other positive enough that the appearance remained. Most residents don't pay attention to the building itself, so I thought it would be better to focus on practicality and make it an overall elderly friendly village design."

"You're good at designing those hands, Amane. If you want to be aggressive, you make it."

"Is that good?

"You actually went to the village and listened to me, and then you thought it was okay to come up with an aggressive proposal. The inhabitants of the village of Kramt also heard of the anxiety, which Amane suggested would be more reassuring."

"Okay. Help Melmie, too. I want to hear a lot about you."

"It's up to you"

Melmie replies even as she makes tea.

I go into the room I used when I was a disciple and draw blueprints.

As a result of this interview, building accessibility is a must.

However, the primary aim of this redevelopment plan is to stop the marginalization of the village of Kramt and to ease the population concentration in the Salatin city.

Beyond being a positive proposal, it is also permissible to completely replace villages if the budget permits it. Nevertheless, it would be better not to move fields etc.

"A water storage facility must be close to the field."

"They say it's hard to design a water storage facility because it has a weight problem?

Because the water is heavy, it considerably compresses the allowable load amount of its branches simply because there is a water storage facility that keeps the water for constant use. The presence or absence of water storage facilities greatly affects the freedom of development of the village, as other buildings need to be built while calculating the load on the branches.

It's easy if you just make it, but the harm is enormous.

However, in this redevelopment plan, the overall weight can be reduced by organizing almost disorderly village buildings, consolidating zoning, etc.

Melmie put one hand on her desk and peeked into the blueprint I would draw.

"Naturally eliminating the steps as much as possible, what about the road that carries vegetables from the village to the Salatin city?

"Maintain. I'll break the budget too."

Salatin city is a collection of crops in surrounding villages and towns. Jobs are being created there, and the young people who came out of the village of Kramt say most of them work in the market and elsewhere.

Even if I'm worried about the parents I left behind in the village of Kramt, I can't go home often because of poor transportation. He went on holiday for a bit and made his way back to Salatin City within that day, living like working the next morning.

Now, although if you work in a Salatin city, you get money, if you get a room at a cheap place, it costs money. It's best to commute from the village if you want to make more money, but it's unrealistic to spend a few hours walking in and working.

So you just have to make it real.

"If the road between the village of Kramt and the Saratin city is maintained and the coyote cars run there on a regular basis, it will be possible to earn money from the village to the city. Accommodation costs float without having to bother to take accommodation in the Saratin city. The bridges that we're going to build together should make transportation extraordinarily better."

In other words, bedtown the village of Kramt.

It is only during the day that Salatin cities will now be overpopulated. As for daytime manpower, Salatin cities also want it, so if this succeeds, the problem should be solved.

Workers return to their villages at night, so they are not plagued by the problem of housing in Salatin cities either.

In addition, water storage facilities can be created in the village of Kramt to secure water and expand the fields. Water and food problems will also be alleviated to some extent, and it will be possible to export them using the roads that have been developed.

"Therefore, securing agricultural land through zoning is also a challenge"

We cannot demolish even buildings that are not aging and oppress the budget, so we give out a map of the current village of Kramt to see the number of years since it was built, one by one.

"That sounds like a good thing we were talking about earlier, but is that how it works?

"Of course, I can't say for sure."

For example, running a coyote car.

It's a coyote car that lets a coyote, an animal similar to a sheep, pull a box carriage to carry guests, but if you let a person pull something the size of four people can ride, you'll need three heads.

If you want to get between a village and a city, you need a coyote car, and you need to keep the coyote under control.

Given the cost of running a coyote car, transporting villagers to the city would definitely be deficit management.

In other words, we need another gain from running a coyote car that connects the village of Kramt to the city of Salatin, even if we run a deficit.

The question remained as to whether the profits could be served by a worker named the young man of the village.

Because only animals resembling sheep and hairy ones are available, I think I can manage to blacken them. Unlike grazing, it also costs fodder.

Often considered this, the final decision will be made by Mr. Friends and the church in Salatin city, which is leading the redevelopment project.

All I can do is create materials that can explain the pros and cons of running a coyote car and convince it to happen.

"I can't make a prediction without first calculating it, and it's possible that it won't work again if I actually start operating. Ask Richay to give us a quote first."

And there, I see the room.

"Is Richay still in the kitchen?

"It's going to take a while to get rid of that number."

Melmie only shows her face in the hallway through the door of the room and clears her ears to the kitchen.

"Aha, Richay, you're making the cookbook easy to read."

"You mean let me build my knowledge first."

Seating is important, right? Yeah.

In conclusion, my proposed positive proposal was supported by the inhabitants of the village of Kramt.

The operation of the coyote cars is carried out by the village of Kramt, instead the city of Salatin is a contract to import crops on a regular basis. It was also decided that the operational know-how of the coyote car would be shared with Salatin cities, surrounding villages and towns.

To make it easier in the future to strike measures, including the operation of coyote cars, if marginalization starts, as in the village of Kramt.

Accessibility of the village of Kramt became a massive object.

A water reservoir is provided a step higher than in the field to facilitate water extraction, and the steps of the stairs are taken to a large extent. The staircase, which had grown since the tread surface had been enlarged, was difficult to fold, and a shortcut staircase connecting the turning point was provided separately.

The path that was serpentine to avoid dotted dwellings has become a straight line with zoning and requires less walking than before.

There is only one waiting point for coyote cars at the entrance to the village, but there are roofs and walls, like a station building, to lift the cold even in the winter. Inside, chairs were arranged, and there were also rest areas in the back where the elderly people of the village could take off their shoes and go up so that they could use them after finishing their field work.

Under the influence of zoning, the field can also be expanded, and he said he would work on expansion work as soon as the soil was available.

"You're done."

"You didn't have long."

Melmie and I exchange high touches to share our accomplishments.

It was redeveloped in the village of Kramt for nearly five months. More than a dozen artisans from Salatin City stayed in, so much so that Joynesley also called for backup.

I don't know how much money has moved with this plan, but I also have nearly half the village buildings rebuilt, so how many years on my annual income?

"By the way, Melmie, where's Richay?

"I'm making dinner with Mr. Cyry."

"I think I've done it in the last five months..."

"Mr. Melmie is thinner too..."

Every dinner was made by Richay, so my appetite is suppressed.

Melmie looks at me, turns her own clothes and shows her belly.

"Look, touch it. I was about to pick it, and now I don't have the shadow to see it."

"You have a lovely stomach that looks rather radiant"

Seriously, can I touch it?

Slowly lifting his hand, he grated the hem of his clothes just as Melmie noticed something.

But sweet. I can even enjoy myself from the top of my clothes, I don't know, Mr. Friends called me from across the street.

"You're not following a flirt on a regular basis. Amane, it's a letter from Joynesley."

"Is it a letter? Melmie's dad, I guess."

Did you even realize the signs that your daughter's stomach would be touched?

You're saying it wasn't Melmy's soft, smooth, healthy stomach that stood in front of me, but Melmy's adoptive father, the guy?

Look at the sender of the letter and be sure.

Melmie's father doesn't know anything about her daughter's stomach, not Esper or anything.

I said I could touch it. He said he was forgiven.

"It's an ancient Yoinsley ginseng."

Melmie peeked into the letter from the side and told me that I saw the sender of the letter again.

"True."

"... Amane, what did you just confirm?"

Melmie, I was just making sure it wasn't Dad's name.

Cut the seal of the letter and look inside.

"- Hey, Amane, this!

Melmie, who was peeking in, raises her voice as if she were surprised.

The letter said that the architect Amane would be allowed to take the examination for obtaining the Bridger qualification.

It hardens by accident.

The Jianqiao family's exam cannot be taken unless it is evaluated with a proven track record as an architect.

Which means my track record met my eligibility criteria.

But it's only been a year and a half since I qualified as an architect. There should also be very little track record to be evaluated.

"Wrong transmission?"

"Oh, my God. Wrong transmission. No, Amane, don't surprise me."

I'm convinced. Melmie's gonna slap me in the back.

But Mr. Flengs shook his head sideways.

"Don't worry. It wasn't a mistake. Amane was officially recognized for the exam."

"- Why?

I don't know what that means. Or I just think there's a back.

I wonder what. Newbie snoring? Me, I guess I did something wrong.

"On the face of it, it's because you went through this Kramt village redevelopment plan all at once. It was unacceptable in the first place, and it got the understanding of the residents to acknowledge the massive development."

"That's all?

"It doesn't matter if you take the exam. But there's another reason behind it."

I was the one who drank the sawdust and decided to be ready, but the reason Mr. Flengs spoke was a clapping fact.

"Amane such as Kanes and an architect of the same age were evaluated for the beauty of the building in the fourth branch project in the town of Haratra to qualify for the Beautellarm, and in the meantime, they passed the bridge-builder qualification. The bridge-builders of Beautellam value highly decorative buildings."

"Maybe you mean to take on the same young man with a personal office because he took an up-and-coming young man to the West Skyscraper View Terrace?

"I guess it's not just Amane. I'm pretty sure Joynesley's making a leap against horse training."

When I hear that, I miss something.

"I think you should take what you can get. Mr. Melmy, I like your design, and when you become a bridge-builder, I'm happy to have a deal with our shop."

"Well, I'll take it. You're not qualified to pass in Conne anyway, and nobody's gonna complain if you pass."

Instead, let's give him enough momentum to pass.
