Unmotivated Hero's Tale

A hero faster than a criminal.

An autonomy known as Novamim exists in the southwest of the Kingdom of Claris, and in the northwest direction from the Empire.

Originally this land was the land where the small kingdom known as the Republic of Novamim existed, the Republic itself was invaded by the Empire about forty years ago and from the map the existence of that nation has been completely extinguished.

Then why is this land now autonomous? There were some circumstances to that.

The empire, which invaded the land first, initially planned to annex the land as it was. However, there were times when this small country was originally run by republicanism, a land that was difficult to tame with the imperial imperial culture.

Consequently, the Empire decided to govern this country through several stages. In other words, it initially treated itself as an autonomous territory, with plans such as annexing it to the empire at a stage where to some extent the ideas and cultures of the land were familiar.

However, the plan was to create a number of problems.

It is imperial territory, but not entirely imperially governed land, so that the various violent organizations and rogues that have so far had difficulty operating in the empire have all flown into the land. Moreover, security personnel within the Empire deliberately acquiesced in this move, believing that the movement of this group of criminals would lead to a reduction in the crime rate within the Empire.

The mass exodus of criminals from the empire, who are also blindfolded by this stinking thing, is a mass influx and set of criminals into Novamim, with which the political situation of Novamim rapidly becomes unstable.

This political instability itself was intended to be used initially as a pretext for swallowing the region as an empire. At this point, however, opposition to the Novamim merger erupted from leading domestic players.

That was sometimes because, as lords everywhere, we had acknowledged an obvious improvement in security due to the decline in criminals and organizations, and by swallowing up Novamim, the criminals hated coming back to every part of the empire again.

Meanwhile, those claiming annexation to the Empire insisted strongly that criminals nesting in Novamim would be wiped out with military force. However, it was questioned whether it was really possible to sweep away those who had so far continued to escape the hands of the imperial security personnel, and no one could believe in their success.

Twenty years early that such an argument could continue. Ultimately and inconclusively, the Novamim Autonomy continues to exist today as a heaven for criminals, chimps and those involved in the Dark Society.

"Autonomous lord. In short, you're telling us to go to Lemuriak and capture the Demon Stone."

Of the few criminal organisations in the Novamim Autonomy, the largest organisation Serrarem is rumored to follow half of them. At the home of the head of that organization, Omersen, there was a figure of an autonomous Novamim lord.

"... oh, you're right. Thank you for understanding. As I said earlier, the area apparently really overcame Rugelil's disease. For, that land will have vast demon stone resources sleeping all over it. I don't have the hands to leave it alone."

"It's just, my lord. Wouldn't it be a little too good for a regular person in this administration not to take part in this operation?

When O'Maysen glances at the bureaucratic autonomous lord as if he were a sprouts, he tells him so in Doth's dominant voice.

"You know, Omersen. Although this autonomy is not ostensibly an empire, it is clear that relations with the empire are deeply rooted. Therefore, if we invade his land as the men of Novamim, we will be cut off from the war. That's why I'm asking you guys who aren't regular soldiers. Besides, your organization has more power than ours... and if you can, don't make me say this."

The autonomous lord Ponaparto speaks so with a regrettable look on his face.

The power of Sellarem is absolute in this Novamim Autonomy.

It is true that various villains, large and small, are moving from the Empire to this land. However, Emersen, the head of Sellarem, was originally ostensibly the great merchant of the Empire, and the back face was one of the faces of the dark streets of the Empire. The organizational power of Sellarem, built by him like that, was not comparable to any other small force, and the power of the organization had already clearly surpassed that of the Autonomous Lord.

"Oh, you understand it right. Then we won't talk. This time, if you drop Remliak, give me 30% of the revenue that goes up in that area. That's the lowest possible condition."

"Thirty percent, stupid. If we dig the Demon Stone over there properly, we'll have a harvest that will just exceed the Empire's annual Demon Stone consumption. Can you pay for 30% of it? Number one, admit it, and the Empire itself will surely crush you."

Ponaparto argues with a surprising look, shaking his neck from left to right, at the very lust of Omersen.

"Hmm, there's really no certainty that Rugelil's disease has disappeared from that land. They're trying to send us to a place like that without getting their hands dirty. I can't make up for it if you don't... Well, if you don't like it, we just don't do it"

"Damn...... ok. But I can't give you an instant answer right now, so give me a minute. I will consult with the representatives of the Empire and the insiders of the House of Lords in Clarice, and soon I will be able to present the conditions again"

"You have to do something quick. We don't need you to tell us anything, but we can go into the land on our own and capture as many demon stones as we need."

When Emersen was satisfied that he was in the process of negotiating for an advantage, he told Ponaparto so with a grin.

"Okay, 'cause I get it. Wait till we present the terms. I'll get back to you soon."

Ponapalt understood his own disadvantage, and when he said so, he left the room of Omersen with regretful teeth.

"Hmm, is he an imperial dog, too? Well, if you're such a weak lord, it's easy and helpful for us to do our job."

Omersen, who dropped off Ponaparto's hindsight, pours eau de vie into the glass at hand when he grumbles so with a satisfying look. And he slowly enjoyed the scent, chewing down the joy of burning his throat.

"Smart...... do you have a minute?

It was his men with scratches on their right cheeks who interrupted such a blissful time of Omersen from the side.

"What the hell. I'm tired of just dealing with a fool. If it doesn't matter, you can do it later."

"Heh, that's where the Wall Chamber of Commerce is visiting here wanting to meet his head… in fact, he wants to see his head in person"

The man with a scratch on his cheek gives a slightly bewildered look while explaining the facts in a partial way.

"The Wall Chamber of Commerce? What, the Chamber of Commerce? It's the first name I've ever heard."

"Hi, it's like a small chamber of commerce with only a few employees too...... I just brought some interesting stories to catch up with, and a brunette named the deputy of that chamber seems to be making a scene at the entrance"

It is precisely unusual that such a small chamber of commerce person make a dignified visit from the front to the house of the head of this large organization, Sellarem, etc. Therefore, my men were anxious to see how they should respond.

"Hmm, can we deal with such a small chamber of commerce or something? If you're talking loud, gather the right-armed ones and slap them."

"... ok. I'll arrange it right away."

When he hears the words, including the slight anger of Omersen, his men rise up on the spot to walk away from the room. But at that time, another man rushed into the room again.

"Report! It's a bunch of people who call it the Wall Chamber of Commerce, but it's rampaging in the lobby downstairs on the occasion of our security thing hanging a little bit."

"You idiot! I don't want to report that, but I want to get rid of them!

"Well, there were about three unusually armed swordsmen among them... especially a red-haired swordsman who would defeat a dozen guards on his own without a scratch."

"Ahem? Three swordsmen? Why are there swordsmen mixed up among the merchants who come here to do business? I don't know what your report means."

Once again, a new subordinate jumped into Omersen's room when he reprimanded him as he sent a glaring glance.

"I'm a magician! There's a red-haired sorceress in there, destroying the hallway as you please, and we're heading to this room right now."

"Also, red hair? I mean, I'm a magician. Aren't those just testimonials, you idiot! Call everyone in the mansion and surround them!

As he rises out of his chair as he exhales his anger, Omersen gives instructions to his men.

"Mm, I can't. It's not like they're very much in our hands. Immediately, but with the impetus to get in here. Hurry up and get ready to escape!

"What? Stupid. There are over a hundred escorts in the mansion. Some of them were regular soldiers of the Empire. There's no way we can get there in just a few minutes."

"Hey, normally I am. Hey, the people I brought in this time are insane, and they're annoying me."

That's how a sloppy, carefree, brunette man entered the rear of the room sometime while the Emersen anger was being uttered.

With that mindless voice overheard, Emersen's men rush back and jump toward him, changing shape.

However, as the female swordsmen jumped in from outside the room as if they were half asleep with little eyes open, faster than they reached beneath the dark-haired man, they were beaten down with the belly part of the sword and made to pass out one after the other.

"Who is it?"

"About me...? I'm a deputy for the Wall Chamber of Commerce and I call myself Yui Istarz. I wonder if you're the Emersen with the head?

When she grinned bitterly as she scratched her head, Yui introduced herself that way.

"Oh, Yui Istarz? That's your first name. To sell fights to this cellarem of mine...... Yui Isterz...... wait, no way you!

Even searching the brain for the names of organizations and merchants within the Autonomous Territories did not mention that name at all in the Dictionary of Omersen. However, the too famous name Yui Istarz reminds him of a person who is soon.

"Oh, I guess I didn't introduce myself enough. For once, I'm an agent for the Wall Chamber of Commerce, and my main position is running Count Lemuriak's territory in Clarice. Maybe it's better that way."

"... sir, it's obvious. There's no way you know the name of the Wall Chamber of Commerce other than the guy in the country village where Carlin Cains lived."

Clary, who had refrained behind Yui, stroked his own head, pointing that out in awe of Yui's introduction.

"Indeed it is. But I like it a lot. The position of agent for the Wall Chamber of Commerce"

"Hero...... Yui Istarz. No way is it real..."

O'Maysen slowly swallows the knob, slightly backward. From his perspective, it is a good thing to say the Blue Sky Thunder, and now the most famous man in the West of the continent is in front of us.

"Ha, I wonder if they sometimes call me that. But from you guys close to the Empire, I don't think I'm a hero, even if I'm an enemy."

"... so we're the ones who watched it completely sweet? If I get attacked so far, I'll have to give up, but I was actually just talking about attacking your land with the Autonomous Lords. But even if you did, just look at the status quo and you'll see how it turned out."

Remembering his earlier meeting with Ponaparto, he was ashamed of his thoughts. The perception in him was that Lemuriak remained Lemuriak, once abandoned by Clarice.

However, there is also an inexorable side to it. For those who had previously ruled Lemuriak had governed mostly indirectly from the king's capital, and the same had happened since the ownership of the land had since been transferred to the royal family. Therefore, in an attempt for Yui to become a lord, he did not think that Yui Istarz himself, called a hero, was entering his land directly.

"Ha, well, a hair or something. In fact, I wasn't expecting you guys to come to us any time soon. However, once the end of the battle is opened, it is likely that we will not be able to discuss it amicably in the future. That's why I came to you today to talk peacefully."

"... all I hear is that you're here to threaten me?

Even if it was ourselves who took our hands first, the men who brought Yui had spoiled his men until earlier. Nevertheless, Omersen had an unspeakable fear of the man in front of him who spoke lightly of the pre-construction of peace.

However, he and I are the heads of large organizations. Put up your best void not to be ashamed of it and confront Yui.

On the other hand, Yui, under obvious vigilance, slowly shook his neck to the left and right, smiling towards him.

"That's not true. My people tell me not to take my life. So are they now confronted with Hoot, and maybe your men are safe."

As a replacement for Lugeril's disease busy lute, the red-haired woman who didn't even call but came of her own accord plundered Yui's brain for a moment. Therefore, considering that she did not know the addition or subtraction, Yui explains so, although he did not make any affirmation to O'Mailsen.

"Heh, with so much power until I cut it... I see the power of the organization called SS, which is rumored to be so much"

In the mood to have to take his hat off anymore, Emersen says so, not expecting Yui to even be given the SS name, and gives him an unexpected look.

"Hmm, that's pretty familiar."

"You're a celebrity anyway. The Empire, of course, but no one in this Novamim Autonomy knows your name. And the presence of the SS that you are said to have organized. So, what can I do for you today? It doesn't look like he came to get my balls before he attacked me."

"Oh, I don't think I'd want to do that if I could. I don't like trouble. I'm here to do business with you today."

When Yui speaks to him like that with his hands spread to his left and right, Emersen unwittingly asks back with a wrinkle on his forehead.

"... business?

"I told you earlier, I'm here today as an agent for the Wall Chamber of Commerce. So, Mr. O'Maysen, if it's all right with you, as chairman of the O'Maysen Chamber of Commerce, your superficial face, why don't you make a deal with me? I think it's a story that will never cost you anything."
