Unmotivated Hero's Tale

Under-Secretary Ambassador

Rhindle Kingdom. It was the beginning of the nation that a group of small nations, originally in the north-western part of the continent, united and allied to defend themselves from Clarice in the south and the Republic of Kiemerte in the centre of the continent.

From such a mutually supportive alliance, it was the first Rhindle king to form a solid state five generations ago. In addition to his economic and military strength, he actively used matrimonial policy to create a country where he could forge reciprocal alliances with neighbouring countries, including Clarice. And because of its northernmost location in the western part of the continent, the climate problems that will be closed with the outside world in winter will instead serve as shields for this country, which until today has succeeded in maintaining a stable system as a nation.

Yui and the rest of the line arrived at Sable, King Rhindle's capital, in the evening as they passed through the northern woods without particular obstruction. And when he gave the proof that he was a diplomatic ambassador to the guard watching the city entrance, the guard gave him permission to enter the capital, even with a slightly surprising look on his face, and the line stepped into the city.

"Heh, this is great"

"Well, this guy's a little... pretty well done."

As you enter the city, both Yui and Clary raise their admiration for the streets built on the premise of their defense. Rhindle was a somewhat more powerful land pattern for the regional luxuries than in other countries, and Sable, the king's capital, was a somewhat smaller city relative to the size of the country, reflecting that. The structure of the castle town, however, had been taken with no idea of the journey to the royal palace at the heart of the city, and the presence of a huge stone wall strewn around it, enough to surprise them.

"You're obviously building a defense-conscious city. A city that prioritizes commercial activities like Clarice can't take such a complex urban structure."

Yui nodded and sighed, realizing that the journey from the road structure, as complex as its maze, to the embassy was in vain, taking an inner, praiseworthy, but thought-provoking manoeuvre to the designers of this king's capital.

"Husband, let's just go. Because if you're too relaxed, Nanya's bad habits will come out again"

"You know, I'm not going out for a drink until the inn is settled either. What the hell do you think people are, rude?"

Except for Cain, who is just nicotine, Yui and Clary were in full disavowal of Nanya's statement in their hearts. But when I put it in my mouth, I know it's troublesome, so when they quietly hurried down the road without saying anything, they finally began to see the destination, the Clarice Embassy.

"Sir, is that it?

"Hmm, I've never seen the real thing either, but as far as the map I got from the Foreign Office, that's probably it."

As Yui confirms, he drops his eyes again on the map at hand and confirms that there is no doubt. Is that embassy also intended to boast of Clarice's power, or was it a somewhat larger building to call an embassy? What a waste Yui's first thoughts when he saw it were, and he scratched one of his heads when he laughed bitterly.

"Wait. Who is it, you guys!

As Yui was tired of looking up at the building and tried to pass by the entrance gate to get inside, soldiers believed to be guards from the left and right side of the gate blocked Yui's sight with a spear in one hand.

"I wonder if you're asking about me. Uh, I'll take care of you here, Isterz, but what?

"Istartz? Well, what does that Isterz look like?

A veteran man questioned Yui as he stared at him with a frigid odor, clearly visible among the guards.

"No, I'm here to greet you on your ambassadorial inauguration, is there anything wrong with that?

"Tell me the joke is off! His Excellency Yui Istarz, who is to be inaugurated next time, is a warrior who has been wiped out of that empire by himself. I don't even look like a weak man like you. I didn't mean to use His Excellency Isterz's name on my own, you suspicious bastard."

As soon as the veteran man's words echoed around him, the other guards, who would be his men, rushed to surround the Uys, and began to get around.

"No, no, no, I'm not much of a martial artist. I mean, why do they think that way?

"Absolutely. My husband... but rumors are horrible."

Unlike the frivolous atmosphere of the guards, the vigilant guests do not show themselves to care about the fine dust either with a bitter laugh. In that attitude, when the guards increased their distrust and anger, they ate and hung up with the momentum that they still couldn't fly.

"What are you guys talking about? You're kidding. We're going to investigate now, so let go of the weapon you put on your hips and follow our instructions!

"Oh, my God, what's going on..."

Yui, not willing to follow the captains' instructions, sighs headachedly about how to prove himself. And when I realized I had the letter of appointment for the ambassadorial term, which I also used at the precinct, I slipped my hand on the load I had prepared for the horse to take it out. But when the guards who received the motion as some kind of resistance move put up their spears again, the one-touch, immediate air can get around them.

Such a barren situation was opened when a middle-aged bureaucratic stinking man came out of the embassy, feeling the noise.

"What the hell is all this noise?

When he put his hair together behind him and a man with glasses questioned the veteran guard, he briefly described the situation, whilst pounding his tongue.

"My apologies, my secretary. These suspicious men were about to break into the embassy by deceiving Istarts, so we're going to eliminate them."

"A suspicious man? There are only His Excellency Istarts in front of us, but where is there something suspicious?"

When the secretary says so lightly, the veteran soldier flashes for a moment. After a slight relief, I blued my face when I realized the mistakes I had made.

"No way, this man...... yes, no, this is better, Lord Isterz. And I'm sorry for your loss!

Momentum that could throw down the spear in his hand as it was, lowering his head, the other guards rush to follow him and salute him most. Seeing the appearance, Yui scratched his head twice, doing his right hand in front of his face and shaking it patterned to the left and right.

"Fine, fine. Because I found out that I was serious about my job as a gatekeeper. You can be loyal to your duties for now, but try your best not to push your prejudices on others."

"Ha, yes. Thank you very much! I remember the liver."

When he smiled gently at the veteran soldier, who rushed to bow his head again, Yui turned to the man he called the secretary.

"So if you'll excuse me, do you know me?

"Yeah, after last year's invasion of the Empire, I needed to go back to the royal palace once. I have seen your honor in the hallway within the royal palace during that time. I never thought I'd be working in the same workplace like this. Again, my name is Hoyce and I am a deputy ambassador. Now, what are you standing here talking about, please come inside? I'll show you to your office."

With that said, Hoyce urged Yui and the others into the building, and the line went into the heavy embassy.

"That was helpful earlier, Lord Hoyth. Again, nice to meet you. This time, I prayed for the ambassador to Clarice. I say Yui Istarz. Best regards,"

Upon being guided by Hoyth and passed to the office of the small and beautiful resident ambassador, Yui unloaded her luggage and turned to Hoyth to greet her.

"Thank you for waiting, Lord Isterz. When I heard your Excellency was coming to the area, the people of this country, as well as the staff of our embassy, were somewhat floating. Anyway, Your Excellency's name is echoing all the way to the land. It was just too flashy to be active, so it's a troubling story that something like this happened earlier."

"Absolutely. But I don't know what rumors are spreading, but the real thing isn't that big of a deal like this."

Scratching his head twice as Yui weakened, Hoyce pretended his neck to the left and right, causing Yui to deny what he had said.

"Your Excellency was given a solid track record. Let me tell you something, driving the Empire back out of that inferiority is so underestimating to the extent of rumors overflowing in the alley."

"Ha, is that it"

"As you can see from the reaction of the guards earlier, the name of Clarice hero Yui Istarz, who also kicked the Imperial Army on a single horseback, is ringing. And in that case, embassy staff are eagerly awaiting your arrival."

That being said, with a grin, Hoyce lowered his head toward Yui, who, in a hurry, also lowered his head.

"Thank you. And they're the face of the SS who got me here with my escort. I'd appreciate it if they could have a room, too."

As Yui looked back and turned his gaze to the three Clairees, Hoyce raised his voice, as he was poked in the void.

"SS! If so, did they bring soldiers with princesses?

"Yeah, I was originally my subordinate, so I told him I couldn't and he accompanied me. Don't worry, of course, we have permission from Princess Elise and the SS chief."

Yui tells him that with a laugh, against Hoyth, whose eyes have been rounded and solidified on the spot.

"Well, I see. But I hear the SS martial name, ladies and gentlemen, it's a little different from the average soldier."

"Ha, you can honestly say you're not a soldier. But I'd appreciate it if you didn't judge me by my appearance."

When Yui replied with such a bitter laugh, Hoyce opened his mouth after nodding a few times.

"Of course it is. Guards, ambassadors, clerks, accountants, each with the appropriate abilities, outfits and equipment. A doorman from the Ministry of the Interior like me is not willing to pinch his mouth around it."

"I'd appreciate it if you could say that. Well, they'll be in trouble for a while too, thank you."

To Hoyth's words, Yui carefully bowed his head and thanked him as he smiled again.

"Okay. So they will move with you during your assignment. If so, it's just the right time, my lord and I need to introduce them to someone."

"Is it to us... who is it?

One moment, please.

Hoyce goes straight out of the room when he says so. And just after a few moments, he brought a young empty shortcut woman back to his room.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. I should have introduced you first, but this is Noah, your secretary."

"Am I direct..."

Positively, it's no surprise it comes with a secretary, but Yui, who was thinking of leaving the work around it to Clary, gives a slightly bewildered look.

"Yeah, because resident ambassadors are supposed to have a dedicated secretary. This Noah has done an excellent job at Royal University, and I wonder if he can help us with anything."

That's how Hoyce grinned, urging Noah, who had refrained behind him, to step forward and greet him.

"I'm Noah Lemule. I've heard of your work for a long time, and at that time I never dreamed I could be exclusive to you. Thank you for your sincerity."

"... oh, nice to meet you"

Yui still couldn't hide the confusion, but as soon as he couldn't get here, he gave up on whether he could move HR himself, scratching his head twice with a grin.

"Well, let me leave the room as soon as I can. There are other tasks as well. Now if you'll excuse me."

"Hey, isn't that different from what I was hearing!

Hoyce, who had resigned from Yui's office, showered his men who had kept him waiting outside the hallway, squeezing his voice so that he could not hear him indoors, but could not hide his frustration.

"That's strange, as far as possible, Istarz's entourage worked for the head of the army and the foreign ministry to put on a good person for us..."

"Damn, this could be hard to get back at easily. We need to talk to Lord Muracene for once."

Hoyce gave an abominable look, and when he left in front of Yui's room, he began to work his thoughts again, unhindered by his plans for the future.
