Tou no Madoushi

Episode 96: The Winner's Spirit

Emil's voice echoes in the arena.

"No. How many times do I have to tell you?"

"Knock."

Lynn rises with a groan of regret.

I have abrasions all over my body, breathing on my shoulders, and my feet are fluttering.

He was barely able to stand on his cane.

There are many magic shoes rolling by the side of the exercise area.

Magic shoes that were supposed to be shock-resistant, but all were crushed and the bottom rubbed off.

That was all evidence that Lynn was heavily trained.

In fact, Lynn didn't know how many kilometers he had run with accelerated magic since he started his special training.

Still, Emil doesn't condone it.

Lynn had been blamed for the sweetness of the penetration.

"Lynn. You hesitated at the moment to punch in again. How many times do I have to tell you that strays like that kill you in battle?"

"Yes. Excuse me."

"The moment you hunt down your enemies, it's your bad habit to be pitiful. Spyrna can never beat any bastard in that matter"

"Knock."

"Lynn, you don't have enough spirit for a winner"

"The winner's... spirit?

"Yes. It's the spirit of the winner. Lynn, what do you think it takes to be a winner?

"That's so that we can be strong and show our strength even in actual games..."

"No. What it takes to be a winner. It's about stabbing the enemy in the face."

"To the enemy... todome..."

"Unless you can stab the enemy with a todome, no matter how strong you are, it doesn't make sense to fight good. Sometimes the owner of an excellent weapon, power, or intelligence loses lightly to a child with a single dagger. There's only one thing that makes that possible. Definitely a calculation and a will to pierce the enemy's heart."

Emil points her wand toward Lynn's heart.

Lynn takes an evasive stance in preparation for an attack from her.

I had already been tapped into my body to be able to do this with reflexes.

"Always have the image of stabbing your enemies with todome! Don't imagine anything but yourself being a winner! That's the spirit of the winner!

(to enemies...... stabbing todome at nauze)

"If you want to win, throw away the sweetness. Come on, let's do it again. Let's go."

Lynn regains her mood as her consciousness becomes hazy and her muscle and magical organs scream.

He had not taken a magic recovery or a break for hours now and was fighting only with his spiritual strength.

It was to work out in case you were about to break your heart in a tough fight.

Emil waves her wand down towards Lynn.

Lynn squeezes his magic and accelerates, turning to Emil's side and fighting back.

She seemed flanked perfectly, but she blew the phosphorus away easily.

Since this day, Lynn thought like every night between entering the futon and falling conscious.

(I wonder how I can make Nauze toddle in the competition)

He squeezed as much imagination as he could have and tried to imagine himself stabbing Todome in Nauze.

One day, as usual, as Lynn arrives on her way home moistened by her master to become a het, Cheryn reacts to Pickle and Jaw, stopping.

"What's going on?

"Looks like Master Atrea is back."

"What?"

Atrea was walking down the boulevard of Guingardo illuminated by the moonlight of the night.

The tower is constantly shipping products with the factory moving even at midnight.

At night, the ship does not leave the harbour so there is not as much buzz in the boulder as during the day, but the products being transported to a warehouse near the harbour in preparation for tomorrow's sailing were still seen as chills.

It was even somewhere fantastic for carriages to come and go relying only on bonfires and moonlights.

Atrea walks slowly as if nothing is handicapped as usual amidst the crowds and the people inside can't move on.

And she always reached a place to stop by.

In the place where the statue of Gaelias, the Great Devil's Instructor.

"Atrea!"

Atrea hears herself called to rest.

Looking back, there was Lynn.

"Lynn. You picked me up on purpose?

Cheelin leaves Lynn and hits Atrea's foot.

He fell asleep on the ground looking completely relaxed because of the comfort he had returned to the Lord.

"Hehe. Good luck with Cheelyn."

Atrea strokes Cheelin's head one by one.

After praying to the stone statue, they sat in a chair and talked.

The chair is what Lynn has put in her magic hat.

"Atrea. Thanks for the cheelin. Thanks to you, I was able to get out of Medusa's labyrinth."

"You're welcome. That's right, Lynn. That's kind of a lot of scratches. You seem to be draining a lot of magic."

"Yeah. It's been a special training before. for going on a magic tournament."

"The Magic Games? Are you going to be a soldier?

Lynn explained the situation to Atrea, who makes her wonder.

About Zaini, about Nauze.

"Yes, that's what happened. That's what I thought when I suddenly wondered why I was in the competition."

"Yeah. I can't say it yet, but now I feel like I have to fight Nauze"

Atrea listened to me silently, as usual, about Lynn.

Lynn tried to suggest that I was going to suggest that this might be possible.

"Um, do you want to come and watch the game? I'm sure your master will allow you to come to Alfredo."

Atrea shook her head sadly.

Lynn was unfortunate but strange.

I can't believe I can't move freely even with as much power as she has.

Or I wonder if I don't have freedom because I have the power.

Lynn decided to change the subject.

"How was your business trip?

"Excellent work. I've fulfilled my mission, and Falsaras has gone home satisfied."

"Oh well. Um. Atrea. This if you like. To thank Cheelyn."

Lynn presented her with hair decorations.

It's from the latest fashion that we sell in Alfredo.

Even in the tower it was made by a fingerfolding craftsman, who bought it the most because Yuven wanted it too.

She wasn't supposed to have it because of what was sold since Atrea went on a business trip.

"To me? Thanks."

Atrea looks sad after receiving what she honestly receives.

"I'm glad to hear it, but this is what I want."

"Oh well. That's right. I felt that way somehow."

(Hmm, wasn't it)

Yuven had an exquisite sense when it came to this stuff, so if she wanted something, I thought Atrea might, but it seemed off the mark.

"But that means you have something you want too."

Lynn asked without hesitation.

"Yeah, it's a very rare item. Something you can't buy with money. Although I want to make it somehow. It's not going to work in there."

(I knew it was a magic guide)

"By the way, what is that item... can I ask you what it looks like?

"It's an item called 'Lens of Stardust'. I need it to build the Alekandra Lighthouse."

"" The Lighthouse of Alekandra "?

"Yeah, it's a lighthouse they say was built by ancient magicians. Now it's gone, though I don't even know where it was built in the world. The light emitted from Alekandra's lighthouse made a path of stardust across the horizon, illuminating the night sky. It's like a river in heaven. The lighthouse allowed the ship to sail in the dark at night without hesitation. If it can be reproduced in this world, it will be possible to operate the airship at night with its lights"

"Night? Aircraft can't fly at night."

"That's right. I look at the terrestrial landscape to see the direction and the current position, but I can't see it at night. The position of the stars alone is not accurate. With clouds, you can't even see the stars, and areas with lots of rainy seasons are just hard to fly. That's why I have to anchor myself at night at sea. That limits the airship's route and the tower's area of power. However, the distance travelled and the range of activities should be dramatically improved if it can be operated at night. If the master could build a lighthouse, the council would approve and open the way to 'Sky Dwellers'."

"Heh. It is."

(That's kind of an amazing grand plan)

Lynn felt like she was in a place she couldn't reach on her own, and she was getting carried away.

"According to the literature, the light source of the lighthouse housed the 'Spirit of the Stars' in a giant lens. The procurement of the materials on which the building was founded was guided, as was the securing of land and space in the tower. After that, we can do something about it as long as we have a lens that can withstand enormous magic and 'Spirit of the Stars'...... Can't find the Spirit? I walked around the world and talked to the spirits of the land and asked."

Atrea gets a melancholy look.

She seemed tired of traveling or feeling a little sunk.

"Lynn. What the hell do you want?

Atrea asked abruptly.

"What? What do you want?

"You're aiming for the top of the tower, aren't you? I think it has a lot of purpose."

"I... I don't know yet. Now, anyway, it's a lot about working hard on special training for the magic tournament."

"Oh well. Right."

That's all Atrea says, she turns her eyes to the sea and shuts up.

She also seemed to forget Lynn was there and look away somewhere.

Lynn is suddenly getting lonely.

I guess I'll never see her again. That's what I feel.

"Atrea"

Atrea looks at this one with a strange eye when Lynn calls.

"I was talking about the lighthouse earlier, but the point is, if you find that 'Spirit of the Stars', you can finish that lighthouse."

"Yeah, right."

Then I'll find it.

"You?

"Yeah. I know the royal family, and I'm sure they'll get some clue."

……

"It's time to go. When are you coming here next?

"I don't know that. I'm still busy."

"If I come here again, I'll see you. Call me at Cheryl's. 'Cause I'm sure I'll get some good information for you."

"Yeah, all right."

That's all Lynn says and she goes.

"I really... don't know the world"

Atrea couldn't help laughing bitterly.

"Because you're royal, there's no way you can get something that even a 500 tier magician can't get. It's something you can't buy with money."

But I also realized that Atrea had herself, who knew it was unlikely, but still expects only a few possibilities.

"I'll wait for you without expecting it. Lynn."

Atrea walked away from the spot on Cheelyn's back when she saw Lynn run away and muttered a word like that.

Returning to Atrea, Chillin, able to exert her original power, flies gently toward the top floor of the tower as she floats fuzzily in the sky.

Though Lynn promised Atrea, the next day she switched consciousness to special training in the Magic Guide competition once aside.

Both the coming and coming days dawn on the special training of the competition, and it is finally the day before the competition.

Lynn's competing "Cane Drop" takes place in a tournament format, but the combination of tournaments is determined by the spirits who have been in the arena since far ancient times and watched the battle of the Demon Instructors.

As a result of a perfectly fair draw to be decided in a world without intelligence, Lynn's opponent in the first round was decided on Nauze.
