The news of the recent battle had a significant impact on various fronts. Firstly, within the Parada family itself, the battle's outcome served as a catalyst for re-evaluation. Many prominent families, who had previously considered the Parada family on the edge, were now shocked and had to reassess their perception. This newfound realization led to an outpouring of friendly letters addressed to Parada Palace, indicating a shift in attitudes towards the family.

Moreover, Fray, the key figure in the battle, achieved his primary objective. He had intended to instill fear in the hearts of the major powers, particularly the distributors' organization and their influential force behind the scenes. By unveiling the Parada family's strongest cards during the battle, Fray sought to demonstrate that the family was not an easy target but rather a formidable force to be reckoned with. This strategic move aimed to deter potential hunters and send a message that the Parada family was not to be underestimated.

The impact extended beyond the Parada family itself. The news of the battle reached other powerful families who may have considered the Parada family a non-threatening entity. However, the battle's outcome made it clear that engaging with the Parada family at the present moment would not be without its losses. In this critical phase of the war, even minor power imbalances could prove lethal. As a result, no other family dared to disturb Iskar City, effectively leaving the city out of the ongoing conflict. This respite granted Fray the time needed to fortify Iskar City and make it and the Parada family seemingly untouchable.

------Rockys City------

Ministers and leaders of the city gathered for an emergency meeting to discuss the previous day's lost battle. Along with the numerous losses resulting from the event, the city received a letter bearing the Parada family crest that day.

"We have no choice but to pay. We won't survive if Iskar decides to attack us now," one leader spoke grimly.

"But isn't the amount too substantial? Even if we empty the city treasury, we can't pay it on time," another member expressed concern.

"Perhaps we should present our case to the international court. They might provide a more suitable punishment," someone suggested.

"Are you an idiot? Do you really think the Parada family will respect the decision of the international court? Have you forgotten who we're dealing with?" a skeptical voice interjected.

"So, should we request a meeting with the Parada family to negotiate a reduction in the compensation price?" another member proposed.

"The Parada family wants to set an example with us. It's unlikely they'll agree to reduce the compensation," a cautious voice reasoned.

"Indeed, this is the first time in Parada family history that they've asked for physical compensation rather than direct destruction," someone pointed out.

"Let's send letters to the other cities, proposing a meeting. It would be easier to deal with the situation if we unite," a hopeful suggestion was made.

"No, if the Parada family finds out about our alliance, they might misunderstand our intentions," another member cautioned.

"I knew attacking Iskar City was a mistake," someone said, letting out a sad sigh.

------Iskar City, Parada Palace-------

More than twenty individuals gathered around a huge dinner table in Parada Palace. The group included elite servants, the deadly numbers (Rin and his comrades), the two brothers who had accompanied the team on the mission for experience, and even Montaser and Adam. This time, the dinner wasn't Fray's idea, but rather Casper's. Casper had been jealous when Fray invited Rin and the others to dine with him, so he insisted that Fray join them as well.

"That was an incredibly powerful attack, Mr. Montaser. Did you reach the Ninth Kingdom?" one of the elite servants asked Montaser.

"Ah! No, I haven't reached it yet. The increase in power was thanks to the rune that Mr. Fray invented," Montaser replied.

"Rune! I thought that science was lost in history," Adam exclaimed, surprised.

"I recently discovered an ancient book containing some knowledge about runes," Fray explained.

"Oh! I see!" Adam replied, his expression lacking

any hint of surprise. However, deep down, he was amazed by Fray's talent. Although he didn't possess accurate knowledge about rune science, he had heard many rumors. It was known as the most difficult science to master, yet Fray had not only mastered it in a short period but also managed to apply it to living organisms—an unprecedented achievement.

(I was too quick to judge him), Adam thought with an embarrassed expression.

Everyone in the room understood the magnitude of Fray's achievement and felt a sense of awe. They were now even more confident in the Parada family's future under Fray's leadership and were ready to make sacrifices to see that future realized.

"Indeed, I was also surprised by its power. Mr. Fray is extremely talented," Montaser said in a serious tone.

"..." Fray remained silent, focused on his plate.

"Can you create a rune for me too?" Adam asked, his voice filled with shyness.

"Ha..." Montaser couldn't help but chuckle at Adam's shy expression but quickly stifled it when he sensed Adam's murderous intent.

"Me too, Mr. Fray! I want one as well," Casper said eagerly.

"Alright, I'll provide each of you with a special rune as soon as possible," Fray responded, his gaze still fixed on his plate.

In fact, after Fray's theory had proven effective, he had already planned to equip the Parada family's fighters with suitable runes. He had ideas for the appropriate runes, but gathering the necessary materials would take some time.

"By the way, sir, you must have recognized the formations used by the enemy in the war. It seems they were supported by that family," Norman suddenly brought up.

"Yes, we cannot ignore this. We must seek revenge," Casper stated angrily.

"We're not yet strong enough to face that family head-on, but we will have our revenge," Fray responded, his expression turning cold.

Thus, the Parada family continued their dinner in a friendly atmosphere, engaging in conversations about various topics, both trivial and important. Fray reiterated what he had previously discussed in the family council, reaffirming the Parada family's future goals and plans.
