The Strongest Badger at Hogwarts

Chapter 3 The Hufflepuff Lounge

Since it was the first class of the new semester, Professor Flitwick didn't talk about anything else, but started to let the students continue to experiment and renew the mantra.

With the precedent of Link's bonus points, the students naturally put in extra effort to do better.

Ravenclaw students in particular, they're almost treating it like an exam.

It's a pity that no matter how well they did, Professor Flitwick didn't give them any extra points.

Link did not rest during this period of time, but continued to cast spells and brush the experience of renewing the full spell.

By the time the get out of class bell rang, he had released a total of 53 refilling spells. Although it was very tiring, it also made the experience bar of renewing the full spell rise to nearly half again.

Based on this, Link speculates that if he wants to raise the full spell to level 3, he needs to release it more than fifty times, which means that the experience required to upgrade the spell is increased by geometric multiples.

This is not good news for Link. After all, due to the limitation of magic power, the number of magic spells he can cast every day is limited.

With a sigh, Link packed up and left the classroom with the crowd.

The castle of Hogwarts is very big, which Link had been prepared for, but when he actually saw it with his own eyes at the moment, he was still shocked by this spectacular scene.

I saw that there are all kinds of strange stairs and passages here, the most peculiar of which is the floating staircase in the center of the castle.

It covers a vast area, with countless stairs and platforms flying randomly in mid-air, making it dazzling.

If it were Link alone, he was sure that he would get lost, but fortunately, he still had classmates, and as long as he kept following the crowd, Link believed that he would be able to return to the lounge after all.

And the original owner obviously didn't have a good memory. When Link was sorting out his 'relics', he also accidentally found a piece of paper. On it was a simple map of Hogwarts with sketches, and also recorded the original owner's bedroom. House number and bed number.

This helped Link a lot.

He just followed behind the Hufflepuff crowd and moved forward slowly.

In the process, Link also discovered something special.

That is, these so-called classmates of mine seem to be particularly unwilling to see me.

No one has come to talk to him since he came out of the Charms classroom. Everyone, including his classmates at Hufflepuff Academy, seems to be deliberately ignoring him and treating him as a transparent person.

Although I don't know the reason, Link is actually happy.

You must know that he is a newcomer and has not yet obtained the memory of the original owner. If he wants to fully integrate into this world, he needs a process of collecting information and adapting.

It is best that no one bothers him in the process.

However, just as Link was thinking, a tall figure stood in front of him.

Link stopped expressionlessly and looked up at the person who came.

Then he saw a tall, wet Hufflepuff glaring at him at the moment.

This person Link knew, he was the one who laughed the most in class before, and in retaliation, Link pretended to accidentally throw a glass of water on him.

Obviously, the other party did not dare to have an attack in front of Professor Flitwick at that time, so he came to trouble now.

"Is there something wrong with your vision? In my way?"

"What did you say!?"

As if he didn't expect Link to strike first, the man was stunned for a moment, and his expression became distorted after he reacted.

This made his originally not-so-good-looking face even uglier.

"Do you have hearing problems too?" Link said with a thoughtful expression. "How pitiful. Are you sure that a disabled person like you is really qualified to be a wizard?"

"you……"

The other's body twitched a few times,

His fists were clenched tightly, but looking at the classmates coming and going around, he still had no next move in the end.

"You little Death Eater!"

The other party said indignantly, but when Link heard the words, he laughed disdainfully.

The other party's whole person will be blown up.

But until the end, he didn't do anything, instead glared at Link and turned to walk away, roaring as he walked:

"Wait! I'll make you pay!"

Looking at the back of the other side walking away, a sneer appeared on Link's mouth.

There are a total of four houses in Hogwarts, the largest wizarding school in the country, namely Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.

Among them, Gryffindor represents courage, Slytherin is cunning and unscrupulous, Ravenclaw is smart and learned, and Hufflepuff is loyal, kind and hard-working.

From these adjectives, you may be able to see that Hufflepuff is generally the worst college among the four colleges in the outside world.

And what the man just did was a perfect proof of this to Link.

Showing his teeth and dancing his claws, he looked like he wasn't easy to mess with, but in fact he didn't dare to do anything. He could only make some small moves in the dark to disgust people.

Shaking his head, Link then walked to the lounge.

Hufflepuff's lounge entrance and Hogwarts' kitchen are on the same corridor.

From the outside, it looked like a pile of log barrels stacked in a dark stone trough on the wall, but it was clear that there was something to the sky inside.

Link's fingertips, a boy walking at the front of the crowd, tapped the wooden barrels a few times with a specific melody, and then the lid of one of the wooden barrels opened automatically.

Link was very interested in this, he tapped a boy beside him on the shoulder and asked:

"What if I make a mistake?"

When the latter heard this, he first screamed like a frightened chick and stepped back a few steps, then roared at Link with a look of disgust:

"You can try it yourself! Death Eater cubs!"

Link's expression darkened, but when he reacted, the latter had already climbed into the barrel.

Gritting his teeth, Lin Keqiang endured the anger in his heart and also got in.

This barrel passage is not long, and there is an uphill dirt path behind it, and along it straight up, you come to a circular room.

This series of arrangements can not help but think of the badger's lair.

The room is dominated by lively, bee-like black and yellow, and to complement the palette, the Hufflepuff lounge has plenty of plants.

Like those copper-bottomed pots that hang from the ceiling, there are many curled ferns and vines that caress your hair as you pass below.

On the other side, above the badger-engraved fireplace is a portrait of Helga Hufflepuff, one of the four founders of Hogwarts.

She is now pictured holding a gold cup with a double-sided handle, toasting her students.

Overall, the setting here is cozy and has a homey feel to it.

If there were any downsides, it was that it seemed to be a semi-basement, and through the little round windows in the walls, all you could see was a pair of feet in a hurry.

Link was quite satisfied with this place, nodded and walked to the two bee-colored wooden doors deep in the circular room. According to his observation, there should be the passage leading to the bedroom.

For the current Link, the most urgent task is to check the legacy left by the original owner, so as to learn more information.

Otherwise, it would be quite dangerous to continue living in this state of being ignorant of the original owner.
