The Marquess's Amnesia

Lesson 34: The Word That Was Entrusted To The Grass

"Today, you look better than yesterday"

I sat down in a chair placed beside my bed.

Cedric sits back in the bed.

"Right, Morgan's medicine seems to work well. I feel better every day."

Master Gawayne, who keeps himself in a large cushion, said with a gentle smile.

It's been two weeks since that day. Master Gawayne, who had only been asleep the whole time and had not seen any signs of recovery, gradually began to feel recovery from his expression and voice, albeit slightly. I'm in the middle of quiet in the Marquis' room because I can't get out of bed yet, though. Mr. James is always there from the Duke of Hooksberger house, and the maid is in pairs, and every day, she comes to our house in turns to take care of the Duke around her.

Mr. William is away to work within a week of recovering early. Seems pretty busy working early in the morning to late at night. But every day, I always come home and cuddle me and Cedric to sleep.

Cedric cries out at night with total restlessness and with difficulty clinging to me and Master William at night. For Cedric, the fact that he was about to lose his only sister and wife who loved him seemed to overshadow his little breasts with unspeakable anxiety. I don't feel sorry for Cedric, who has cried eyes every morning because he doesn't seem to know what to do either.

"Today, the chef made me chicken soup."

I tasted it.

"Well, was it delicious?

"Yes!"

To Cedric, who grinned and nodded, Master Gawayne gently laughed and reached out his left hand to stroke his little head.

"Dear Gawayne, can you eat it yourself? If you still need help, don't hesitate to tell me."

He asked me to call him by his name, so I have been calling him Master Gawayne lately.

"Well, if you can ask me to help you, it's very inconvenient to eat if you can't use your dominant hand. I'm sorry."

"Please don't apologize. He took refuge in me, and he got hurt."

Master Gawayne has a deep, cut right arm wound and some medication aftermath that still doesn't work well now. Dr. Morgan, if you have the guts to rehab, you'll be cured. I'm telling you, I'm not worried. I am at least here to help you with your meal apologies.

Mr. James will go down with a small table ready to cross Master Gawain's thighs, on which will be placed the chicken soup, which is today's lunch. Ideal for when you are sick or have no appetite with a soup that simmers boned chicken carefully with lots of vegetables. I go up to bed, sit next to Master Gawayne, transfer the soup to a mug, spoon and crease, breathe and cool, then carry it to Master Gawayne's mouth.

Place the soup in Mr. Gawayne's mouth with care not to zero. He tasted it well and slowly flushed it down the back of his throat.

"Oh, you taste sweet and delicious. Just like Sadie said."

"The chef will be delighted."

"Uncle, I'll, uh, do it for you!

"Well, let me ask you something"

Cedric nods happily, yes, and boils the soup and broiled chicken in a mole with the spoon he received from me, fuuffing and then transporting it to Master Gawayne's mouth.

"If you let Sedy eat it, it's delicious."

Sedy laughed happily at the words and slowly helped us eat as Lady Gawayne paced.

Lady Gawayne gradually finished her soup today. It makes me happy and giggly. Mary, the Marquis maid who is also here to help, looks happy.

I was talking to Master Gawayne when he told me to hang out a little more, and I heard Concon and Knock and Mr. James went to the door. A little while later, Mr. William in his knight's clothes turned a peek on his face.

"Brother-in-law!

Cedric did it. It ran out happy and jumped without getting lost. Master William drops a kiss on Seddy's cheek with a hug and one arm, as usual.

"My brother-in-law, have you finished your work?

"Unfortunately not yet, but I got a long lunch break, so I came back to see your face. Then I heard you were at Lord Gawayne's."

"Dear William, Dear Gawayne, today you have finished your lunch meal."

I get out of bed and welcome Master William.

"Well, that's good. Lord Gawayne, you look good today."

"Thanks to James and your wife and adorable Seddy."

Master Gawayne returns the meeting small.

Master William sat down with his hips sword off the chair that was placed beside his bed. Cedric immediately climbed onto that lap and sat down with our faces. Adorable.

"Speaking of which, I'd like to give it to you yesterday, as the stall is finally complete, if you don't mind, Mr. Gawayne."

"Is that true? I wonder if I could ask for it."

That's what Lady Gawayne said, so I left Cedric to Lady William once to leave the guest room behind.

The usefulness of hiding the stains on your wife's stall from Master Gawayne with embroidery actually ended once while you were in that little house, but I had the opportunity to hear from the Duke's servants when Master Gawayne was quiet in our house, so if I had listened to your wife and made a few modifications, it would have been late.

When I got back to my room, I had Elsa and Ariana who were cleaning for me.

"What is it, ma'am?"

"We are returning the stall to Master Gawayne. It looks like you could use some extra lunch today."

"Well, that was it. We'll be ready in a minute."

Elsa laughed gently and brought a beautiful box with stalls from her bedroom. Last night, before I went to sleep, I wrapped the box in beautiful paper and put a ribbon on it. Ariana brings me a novel that I kept on my bookshelf with this one, ma'am.

"I hope you like it..."

"You'll love it! Because it was so nice that I wanted it too!

Mr. Ariana would like to compliment you honestly. I was embarrassed when Elsa laughed bitterly, "Hide a little greed".

"We'll take you to your room."

That's what you told me, so I'm going back to the guest room with Elsa and Ariana.

They were listening to Cedric when he went inside. Master William and Mr. Gawayne looked back at this one. The table that was on Master Gawayne's lap had been cleared and the dishes had already been lowered.

"Dear Gawayne, I'm sorry I'm late.... Elsa"

"Yes, this is the stall you have deposited"

Elsa stepped forward and placed the box on Master Gawayne's lap. Master Gawayne tried to untie the ribbon with his left hand, but it didn't work, Cedric offered to help, untie the ribbon, and, with Master Gawayne, open the lid of the box.

"... this, ha"

Master Gawayne took the stall out of the box and Cedric spread the stall over his lap.

Embroidery on light water stalls are flowers and cats. We embroidered four seasonal flowers on each of the four sides and stabbed a cat with a habitual pale golden fur and purple eyes using many colors of gold, yellow and white yarn where tea stains were on. The cat sitting on a carpet of blue little flowers sits with her back turned, but she looks back at Master Gawayne and has red and pink flowers on her little mouth.

"The flowers under this cat are the flowers Tasha left behind."

Master Gawayne's saving fingers stroked the little blue flower.

"Yes, it's these flowers"

I took a copy of the painting I got from Mr. James, who was in the bottom of the box, and nodded.

"This flower is called the Grass Remember. From spring to early summer, this is a cute flower that blooms a lot of small flowers as good as its embroidery. The flower words..."

"Don't forget me, do you?

Only a few plundered voices blocked my words.

My scissor-colored eyes look up at me like I'm sorry.

"I said I didn't know when I gave this to you, but I really did... it's a famous flower, and it's the last word Tasha entrusted to me. There's no reason not to look into it. But I'm scared of these words."

I touched the grass so my fingertips wouldn't hesitate.

"Don't forget, don't forget, even though I think... Memory disappears slowly and quietly as horribly as possible. Even though I don't want to forget one thing: her voice, her plumpness, that smile, the brilliance of her hair, even the beauty of her eyes..."

Master Gawayne suppressed his chest with his left hand and spit it out painfully.

"No matter how much pain, the fear of her deafening is eroding me all the time"

I read about it in some book.

People are the first to forget their voices. Forget the "voice". The next thing you know, forget the "face" and finally forget the "memories".

There's a portrait, so it's possible to remember your face. Memories can also be written down in the diary or shared with your friends and James and his servants.

But I can't just leave my voice behind no matter how.

"I don't want to forget one thing about her... she's my shitty husband. I can't take care of him at the earliest, I can't hear his last wishes, I can't help but resent him..."

My chest aches on a mixed smile of self-derision. Cedric stroked Master Gawayne's hand with a crying face, but Master Gawayne's smile remained drawn and about the same difference between heaven and earth as it had previously been gentle.

With his hands pulled in, Cedric returns to Master William's lap.

Instead I sat on the edge of the bed and took Master Gawayne's right hand. Big hands with slightly colder fingertips didn't move as if they were giving up everything in my hand.

"Dear Gawayne, that's not true"

I said it out loud and clear.

My scissor-colored eyes looked back at me. Something resembling anger and hatred was in his eyes, but it conveys that it is directed at him himself.

"Your wife doesn't resent Mr. Gawayne. And I didn't want you to forget."

"But these flowers... eh"

"Take a good look at this painting"

I let him hold the painting in his left hand.

"The hand holding this flower is not the hand of a woman. It's a man's hand."

Master Gawayne alternated between me and the painting when he said he didn't know why.

When I gave the signal with my eyes, I opened the page for the novel that Mr. Ariana had brought to me and placed it on the bed.

The page on the right depicts the hand of a man offering the same unforgettable grass as this painting, while the page on the opposite left depicts the hand of a woman offering red roses and pink starchise flowers.

"This is the same..."

"Yes. This is a romantic novel titled" Mouth it in the Herb Garden ". What's missing behind this painting is that it can be broken to write whatever language the author wants behind it and give it to her lover."

Master Gawayne looked back at me for answers.

"... the stage of this novel is the story of two people who meet there on the edge of a certain kingdom being attracted to each other by mistake. Men are born aristocratic, and they really have to go back to the king's capital, but at the same time women fall ill. But men have to leave women and really go, and they don't want them to forget themselves and give this unforgettable grass to women. I think the reader's lady grabbed the page at the end of the day because she would write and give a message of love for the man who gave her the grass on the back of the page."

"... Tasha did"

"In the story, the woman stretched her arms out of the bed and pulled this red rose and pink starch out of the vase that was decorated on her pillow and returned it to the man. The red rose flower word is" I love you ". And...... Starchis' flower words are" unchanging minds ". The pink Starchis in particular are" perpetual ". So the first message that your wife left Lady Gawayne was," My love will never change, and I love you forever "… I think your wife's words have that meaning in them"

A painting fell from Hikari's left hand and a trembling left hand covered his mouth.

Cedric's little hand layered over my hand holding Master Gawayne's right hand, and Master William's big, warm hand layered to cover it all.

"Duke, Al also said that Lady Istasha is not the kind of person who dies resenting you. I don't choose such a lonely way to die, until the end, when I exhale my final breath, and beyond, as you loved her, I think she loved you, too, and died."

"But... I, alone, let Tasha die..."

From Master Gawayne's mouth, there fell zero regrets tormenting him without a single help.

Your wife, she died really suddenly. That was so sudden that it was impossible to predict with Master Gawayne. Suddenly losing someone he loves and being left alone, the scars in his heart are leaving him with a very deep and painful wound.

"Lady Istasha traveled to heaven with your love in her heart, just as her love remained deep in your heart."

"If I told you I didn't miss you, you could be lying. But there was love, happiness and joy that loved ones here kept pouring out, so I don't think they ever, ever resented or hated me. If I were you, wouldn't William work too hard, and Sedy would worry if she could eat vegetables without liking or disliking them... and I hope you're happy that you're left alone"

Even though I couldn't help crying, I wet my cheeks with zero tears as tears transmitted through Master Gawayne's cheeks.

Lady Gawayne stroked her pale golden-haired cat to love her and hugged her wife's stall to scratch and hold her with her left hand as if she could no longer stand it.

"... sha... my, dear, tasha"

Calling his name to behold, Master Gawayne lay down his face to round his back and hide his whimper.

"Do it alone, do it"

I couldn't stop worrying about the words I was told to whisper, but Master William urged us to leave the room behind. The moment I left the room, I did hear a whimper that couldn't be hidden out.

When Pathan and the door closed, Mr. James, with his red eyes, and the maids who suppress his eyes with an apron, bowed their heads to me.

"Thank you, thank you"

"Please raise your head, nothing like being thanked..."

Master James shook his neck sideways, holding his head down hard, no.

"After you lost your wife, Master Gawayne couldn't cry at once. After five years of losing his wife, her husband gradually managed to cry. Really, really... thank you......"

Pompous and tears fell down the hallway.

"... tell Lord Gawayne to rest slowly. Because we're in the living room."

Mr. James nodded with a trembling voice, yes, when Mr. William told him calmly.

And we left the guest room behind so that James would drop us off with his head down.

"Their tears are not pathetic. Tears of relief."

That's what I'm telling you. Master William's arm is spinning around his waist, and I walk to keep myself with him. Cedric, hugged by the other arm, clung to Master Giu and William's neck, crying a little.

There must have been a part of me that I felt as a young man because I had told him that Lady Gawayne was losing his wife.

"Sister, brother-in-law... Uncle, I hope you feel better soon"

"... right"

"Sadie's burning her care, she'll be fine soon."

Cedric laughed small as me and Master William smiled, yeah, snorted and moistened their eyes.

A pale golden-haired cat, intricately painted with several colors of yarn, looks back at me with purple eyes.

A loving, loving woman (one) who is a mistress, runny, whimsical, not honest, and sucks at being sweet, but who happily fits into my arms when I hug her.

"... Tasha, Tasha"

Holding the stall, I cried with no shame or outward ears.

Listen, I'm only gonna say this once. I love it, my Wayne. I love you more than anyone else in the world. '

I felt like I heard that voice in my ear that was not her honesty, and the tears that were so overflowing that it might wither further added to the momentum.

The beautiful and adorable pale golden cat even looked back and laughed at me with her poor purple eyes like a twilight, surrounded by bright four-season flowers.
