The Marquess's Amnesia

Section XXI. Five Stories The Benefactor of My Life * Mario (Marietta) Perspective

William is a benefactor to my life.

I decided to quit the knight, but I didn't have to quit the living man because William ran away carrying me on the battlefield.

You can either join your son-in-law at some sort of warrant when you're the third son in the Count's house in the middle of nowhere, or you can stand on your own. I don't get educated to succeed to the title like my oldest brother, and I don't get taken care of like my second brother in case it's a replacement. Whether you're here or not, you can crush the grain, and that was my, Mario's position.

Living as Marietta is fun. Originally, I became interested in beautiful cloths and yarns as I spent time in Ralph's house, my half-brother, and the pennies and salaries were poured into my clothes, so Ning Ro, it's a vocation.

Well, in the beginning I had a hard time catching customers first, but there was Ralph's help, and Marietta gradually became a popular designer when William, Alphonse and other fellow Knights designers invited Marietta to the Mansion as an up-and-coming designer. Well, of course, it's my strength, too.

I'll tell you what, women's clothing is just a hobby and my contents are solid men.

Besides, Marietta's profession often goes into and out of many aristocrats and wealthy families. Then, nature and all kinds of information can be gathered.

I gradually realized that I was getting all sorts of information unintentionally, and I started talking to William, who was in the position of division leader, and giving him information. William tried to pay the price, but I said no. You saved my life, so whatever I felt for him is not something I can return no matter how much information I get. This bounty, accumulated since college, is likely to carry over into the afterlife.

It's not like I've ever wished I could always support a benefactor by my side like Kaddock. The designer is my favorite job from the bottom of my heart, and although I'm proud, Mario the Knight was a pride in my life.

But I can't even grasp my sword at work. I'm just a foot wrapper. So, using the invisible but powerful information as a new weapon, I decided to protect the benefactors of my life in my heart.

I know that William and Alphonse have been in a corrupt relationship since college, so, of course, William's fiancée disturbed. Looks like Alphonse was trying to get the clan royalist party to give him his neck over there, including your lady, but that was stopped by William. Alphonse is sometimes ruthless. If they hurt what's inside them, they'll be women, but they'll be children, but they won't forgive you. In a way, I know it's a necessary quality as a king ruling the country, but William wasn't clever enough to do that.

Then William, who developed female distrust and feminine dislike, had always scorned women who were sneery on the surface but whose blue eyes were cold. This is new to my memory that I've been arguing with Alphonse that I might be single my whole life.

So about a year ago, I was really surprised when Alphonse told me I was suddenly married.

I was only informed after the wedding. He was shocked that he wasn't invited, but Alphonse also said he wasn't actually invited and was forced to take the invitation. Neither the other house nor William made a public announcement, so even I couldn't get the information.

And a year from then, William left his wife, who had come to marry herself.

Meanwhile, they told him to face his wife pretty well around, but William punched into the job without listening to anyone's words, and as a result, overwork snuck off and fell over and hit him in the head, putting him in such an idiotic situation as amnesia. You're a real idiot, and I didn't even say a word in disdain.

But that seems to have been a turning point for the Marquis.

Suddenly he said he wanted a dress, so he took it with him, and Frederick told me, "As soon as I forgot it all because I'm stupid, I blinded my wife at first sight."

I didn't see him then, but today, I gradually saw the real Master Liliana, and I was convinced.

Master Liliana was a poor beauty who struck out in the middle as much as William liked.

The previous Marquis Lady was clearly not William's preference. It was a political marriage decided by my parents, well, I wasn't a bad kid and my personality seemed to go well with me and I was close, but I was a courtier like I was in an active, self-assertive painting.

But I knew Alphonse and Frederick.

William's preference is that she is a modest, sober, serene little girl with big tits.

Master Liliana is the perfect wife who covered all of them. On top of that, it combines the moon goddess with such a clear and pathetic beauty as to be confused. Just smile and the men around you will fall easy.

"So you're close," he smiled when he taught me about my relationship with Ralph, and I was a little bit in danger, too.

In general, Liliana was the first person who laughed at me for being pitied and sympathetic or for nobility to engage with civilians, neither of which was "friendly".

"How sinful of a man to leave such a pretty wife alone for a year."

"Stop that disgusting tone."

William looks up and leans over to the desk. Alphonse was getting water from Frederick to moisten his throat whether his laughter had gradually healed.

Or I deliberately gave it a female tone. Thanks to this guy dragging me here, he dropped the wig in the hallway.

"I'm telling you it won't beat Elsa. Hey, Will doesn't get tired of trying often."

Alphonse clasped his shoulder as he exhaled.

That beautiful beauty samurai has been strong for a long time. Something like this, something I can't resist.

"I'm just finishing up my conversation and going for a walk in the garden with Liliana and Cedric. Give me something to serve."

"No. Wow, you're gonna hate that guy, aren't you?

I was really happy there with William, who looked disgusted, so I took the cigarette out of my pocket and put it in my mouth. Then he is casually snatched away by the hand he has stretched.

"I'm going to be walking in the yard with Liliana. It'll stink on me though. What would Liliana do if she didn't like the smell of tobacco?"

Smokes that seemed still not on fire were thrown into the dumpster offered by Frederick.

"... Yes, yes, it was bad"

"Hey, isn't that funny?

said Alphonse, laughing at Kerakera.

"I don't know what kind of love that woman hates Will. You have no idea what's going to happen in the world."

"Hey. Okay, okay, you just have to work, you just have to work. Kaddock, give me an example."

Caddock, who had refrained like a shadow, took a bunch of paper out of his pocket and gave it to Alphonse.

"I washed the neighborhood of that fucking grandpa, but I still can't really grab my tail. But... lately, there have been some very suspicious moves in that shitty grandfather's territory."

"Suspicious move?

William frowns.

"I'm buying wheat for the yakitori. The Duke of Hooksberger's territory had no droughts or mishaps due to long rains last year or this year, nor is it endemic to be ill. Why are we collecting wheat when we have enough reserves?"

"... certainly one of the Dukes in charge of diplomacy, the Destricao State, should have been in a critical situation without stockpiles because the wheat had been badly hit by last year's terrible long rains and had not worked for a year."

The wrinkles between William's brows deepen.

"And Destricao had no restrictions on the manufacture of weapons and gunpowder before he was under our rule, and a long time ago he exported it because he was at war there and used it as a source of income for the country. Now we're in the process of managing everything in terms of manufacturing weapons and moving them to revenues from jewelry processing and iron product manufacturing... but nothing will fit the line of conduct, will it?

I put a bunch of paper on the desk that Alphonse had in his hand. I peek in from the side, too. A more detailed analysis of the current story was written there. And it also describes Destricao's subtle findings on the smuggling of weapons and gunpowder.

Seven years after the war ended. King Clarision has not made excessive exploitation from his kingdom or allowed him to offer his people as slaves, but pride remains in each of them, which was nonetheless an independent nation to taste. It is true that there are countries that are after Tiger Vision for independence from Clarision.

Particularly strong among them is the - Fortis Empire.

He was the opponent of a war where William overturned the war and became known as the hero of salvation, a country that hates William the most.

Maybe if William hadn't been on the battlefield then by the harassment of his superiors, the Kingdom of Creacion would have been placed under the authority of the Fortis Empire on the contrary. The war was so favorable to the Empire.

"Unless we get more conclusive evidence of wrongdoing, it's impossible to catch the Duke"

"A little longer than me, 'cause I'm saving up for this."

Alphonse sighs zero.

"That's all about the Duke. There's still a lot of uncertainty, and that's all I can report."

"Okay.... So what about you?

William looks up and his blue eyes are pointed at me.

"... Mrs. Sandra is suspected of misappropriating taxes and embezzling floating gold by contacting the administrator who had also been entrusted with running the territory in confidence by her ex-husband, Uncle Ayton"

"Wow. It doesn't make any sense. I thought Count Ayton earned less because of the size of his territory."

Alphonse laughs at Kerakera after all, but that empty glance is sword swallowing somewhere.

That would be so. Embezzlement of taxes from the territory means contempt for the inhabitants. All the inhabitants are said to be the beloved sons of King Clarision. In this country it is also an act of deceit against the royal family.

"And Miss Margaret, I don't know where the seeds come from."

William and Alphonse look at each other and look back at me again.

"Miss Margaret was supposed to have been born three months before Liliana's birth, but the real scheduled date was a month away. The lady misled her birth certificate by buying the midwife and the doctor for money. Back then, Uncle Ayton wasn't free to see Madame because she was being watched by her parents about you and Liliana's mother, and Madame refused to see Uncle Ayton by acting pathetic to me. If you're a mother, you don't know how old a father is. So, why did you need to do that, and how do you know that's not Uncle Ayton's child when you're born on a scheduled date? That month, when Lady Margaret was caged, Uncle Ayton was taken by his father to say hello to his marriage."

"... then whose child?

Alphonse tilts his neck.

"Come on, I didn't know that, either, because it seemed like I'd been playing for a long time."

"Are you kidding me, Duke?

Alphonse denies Will's words.

"Oh, I see, the Duke really cared about the Duchess, and he loved her. The Dukes don't have any children, do they? Sounds like they told me to get pretty far away from my surroundings with that. The Duke never had ears to listen to. The Duke loved the Duchess so much that he renounced his noble duties. So the fall of the Duke when the Duchess died suddenly of an epidemic disease was enough to sympathize with me, the boulder. Maybe that's why I got stuck in that Megitunevava."

Alphonse lay his eyes down somewhere lonely.

"Miss Liliana is a daughter of Lady Catherine, who was the daughter of her ex-wife, Viscount Everett, so her pedigree is perfect. There is no doubt that Master Cedric is also a child of the Count. Madame's not stupid enough to make a fool of herself twice, so she said she was a grown-up until she had a succession."

"Liliana and her shards are not alike."

William laughed with his nose and began to look through the bundle of paper that was on the desk.

"It's just a little troublesome. I guess that means Miss Margaret, who's not even her sister-in-law, is about to meet Miss Liliana somehow."

"Oh, I want you to invite me to my place too, or I want to see Cedric, I sent it all back because I got a lying letter saying no to Liliana"

"The other day, I went out of my way to get in my carriage, so I handled it with Arthur and me."

I glanced at Elsa unexpectedly when she suddenly appeared.

"Dear Mario, I have come to deliver something that Marietta has forgotten"

Elsa handed me my dropped wig without looking concerned about this one. Thank you for accepting it.

"Master Cedric was baffled when he picked it up in the hallway. Oh, my God, she was adorable. By the way, Dear Mario"

"What is it?"

I instinctively correct my spine before Elsa doesn't like it.

"Please do not give me any personal information about Margaret. Instead, I can give you as many stories as I can get to know."

"Wait, Elsa. What are you doing to Margaret?"

Ask Elsa as William cramps his cheeks. Elsa grinned.

"That abrasion smashed my dear wife's cheek, so I saw that you were ready to live like livestock at the bottom of Naruto. So I'm just going to add some flowers to my journey to the bottom of the Narrow."

"Wow, good idea! I'll help you, too.

Alphonse applauds the puffiness and indicates endorsement. William seems to have no objection, and, yeah, he's nodding. But you're afraid of Elsa. I don't try to pinch your mouth.

"Well, I'm very comfortable with Alphonse's help."

"It flowed because of the Duke, but Lord Boniface is lucky to be riding - you see, he has a unique hobby, but he's very good as a merchant, so I'd like to offer Miss Margaret, too."

"Sir Boniface and I have a wonderful person for you. You deserve that granny rub."

"Right? I'll get it, Elsa will be happy, Miss Margaret will be cleaned up, and don't do anything good!

"The boulders are responsible for the next Kingdom of Creacion. Broad horizons, its generous heart, nothing more comforting as a people"

Alphonse shook his hand with a glimmer of praise.

It seemed kind of pathetic that Kaddock was pointing that way with a slightly frightened face.

"Then I'll go back to my wife, if you'll excuse me."

Quick as I can tell, Elsa just left the study when she bowed her head.

"Okay, I have to work harder and harder too. How are we going to get Mario to move? Will."

"Keep exploring Mrs. Sandra and Miss Margaret. Especially if you show signs of an attempt to harm Liliana or Cedric."

Copy that.

William slapped me on the shoulder when I nodded.

I'm honestly glad my benefactor counts on me.

"Mario, there's one more thing you need to explore."

"Hmm?"

"... nine years ago, when Liliana was seven, she and Uncle Ayton were attacked"

It was like when I was on the battlefield, I took my breath out of the blue eyes sharply narrowed and my skin pricked.
