The Marquess's Amnesia

Episode XIV: Squeezed Courage and Reunion

"I wonder why you're wearing a better tailored dress than me."

I got up, caught in the pillars of my bed. My sister said with her face close to me and her eyes narrowed on the embroidery on her collar and sleeves.

"Sister, where is Cedric more than that?

I squeeze my courage and ask. My sister gave me a distorted grin on her mouth with Hazel's eyes closed. And wake up the body that was bending and put your arms together in front of your chest. My sister is as tall as Elsa, so she took the form of looking down at me.

"... me, I knew. That she was in and out of your room stealing our eyes."

I took a breath and held my hands in my chest.

"But nothing. I didn't care. There were no shards of interest in her or you. But your father leaned his neck in wonder. In a letter from the Marquis that you wanted to see Cedric, Cedric didn't like you... so I told you."

"... no way"

"Father, I don't know if you've been relieved because you seem so upset."

The shock was too strong and I collapsed to sit on the bed. Keep your mouth down with both hands and look up at your sister flashly.

"It's hard when it's small, too."

That's what I'm telling you. My sister's eyes were turned to the bed. I stopped breathing at what I had found after that gaze.

I go up to bed and reach for it.

The bright white sheets were dotted with traces of dry, brown, hardened blood. From the pillow position, this is probably around the back. A year and a little while ago, the same stains that were in my bed were in Cedric's bed.

I looked around my brother's room, slowly entering for the first time.

The curtains were shut off and the dim room let the loneliness drift over there, secluded. The large bookshelves embedded in the walls are just sparsely lined with books, nothing else. It was as if you were in my room when I was here.

Whether there was violence and pain there.

Maybe that's all the difference between me and Cedric was. Neither I nor Cedric had ever been given this kind of love from my father or mother.

"... where is Cedric?

I grabbed the sheet and asked my sister again.

Soon Elsa's voice was gone. Maybe you went to get someone, or you went looking for a key.

"I don't have the right to teach you."

"I'm asking where Cedric is!

I stared at my sister. My sister wandered for a moment, but soon a mockery returned to her face.

"You've gotten a lot better at defying me, haven't you?

My sister tilts her little neck.

Honestly, I'm scared. No matter how hard your heart works, you remember the pain your body has been given, and you try to escape your sister. Forced to hold onto that. I tried to get out of bed and face my sister and confront her.

"... I know there's no reason for an ugly daughter like you to be loved. That's acting too, isn't it? I heard rumors that you and the Marquis were broken up. It's been a year, and you can't even have children. Isn't it different at night?

For a moment, I got stuck in words.

'Cause that's half true and half lies. I certainly couldn't say that my previous husband and I had a good relationship without even being unfriendly. But I'm probably good with my husband right now.

But in that moment, my sister seems to have mistaken me for not being able to answer because I was stabbed with a picture star. My sister's cold hand touched my cheek, which was slapped and had a fever.

"I'm sure the Marquis is tired of you not having children. So this is how you came to my house. I want to be my wife. But maybe I can't tell you. He's kind, so maybe he can't get rid of your wound... and in this case, tell him to stay away from himself."

The hand that was touching my cheek slowly went down and touched my dovetail.

"Because who do you really think would love an ugly monster like you?

My heart is about to burst and my biggest anxiety, which is getting in the back of my mind, makes me look dragged to my sister's mockery in an attempt to dominate me.

My current husband cares about me. For example, even if I believed my current husband's words and my husband's memory returned and he loved me with it back to his previous husband, now and in the past, my husband has never seen any proof of this ugly monster with those bright blue eyes.

"It's tough. There's no one to accept and love this scar."

That's what I whisper in my ear when I'm weak.

Hazel's eyes are narrowed down with garlic and he tries to drag me in.

"Hey, come back here. If I were to be the Marquis' wife in your place, your father and mother would praise you. That way you won't be whipped anymore, and Cedric and I will be together forever, okay? You'll never get hurt again."

If we could have spent some time alone in this mansion with Cedric, that's probably a happy thing. Your sister is right, if your sister becomes Marquis, your father and stepmother will no longer have the time they have on me or Cedric, and we will be able to live alone. First of all, you and I must have been able to escape into the convent.

But there's no husband or Elsa there. There are no Frederick, Arthur, Grandpa Jamal, Ariana, Melissa, Chef Fieux, or Chief Maid who cared about me and smiled at me.

I tried to hold the fingertips my husband's lips touched and gently touched them with my lips. That's all I remember about your husband's warmth, smile and strength, reminding you that you're not alone here.

I want Cedric to know too. I want you to know how happy I am to be loved for the kindness of my voice when it comes to calling me names for the plush comfort of someone else in red outside of my family holding the joy of smiling for us.

Maybe this happiness with my husband who has no memory is a false one, a brittle one that will break one day.

Still, the words and plumage that my husband and Elsa gave me do exist in me. That wasn't just a lie or a dream.

That's all that makes me stronger.

"No, sir."

I scolded my heart and looked directly into my sister's hazel eyes.

You didn't think I would defy you, my sister had a slight surprise in those eyes.

I remember your husband's words so hard that I thought of the faces of those who cared for me.

The tremor stops and the spine stretches naturally.

"Tell me where Cedric is right now."

"hey!! Liliana's minute!!

"Speak up!!

My sister seemed more surprised than that, even though I've never heard such a loud voice before.

I just need to be strong for Cedric right now. I'm not just Liliana who was whipped anymore.

"I'm Liliana Lutherford! I am the Marquise of Springfield, wife of Master William Lutherford!! The Countess's lady is the one who should be careful with her words!!

"Wow, don't sound great to me!! Ugly monster!!

Hazel's eyes hoisted like a demon and his shaken hands approached me aiming at my cheek.

Still, I looked strongly at my sister's hazel eyes as if they were absolutely out of sight.

I ate my teeth ready to be beaten, but my sister's hand never touched me. On the contrary, my sister disappeared and my vision stained deep green. At the same time powerful warmth envelops me.

"Ha ha!!

I heard a stuffy scream leaking from my sister's mouth in pain over there before I understood her current state.

I look up slowly.

"Yes, sir..."

"Sorry, it's late"

Painfully narrowed blue eyes gently touched my cheeks with fever.

When the scent of a refreshing cologne summoned my nose tip and I realized the plush spinning on my back, tears came to me on their own.

"Oh, my God."

I grabbed my husband's clothes and buried his face in that chest.

There was relief all over my body, and I felt the plush coming back on my fingertips, which were chilling out.

"It's okay now, I'm sorry I'm late"

Low, gentle voices echo from overhead, warm, big hands stroke me to flash my back, and more and more tears overflow. But I don't have time to be crying. I wipe my eyes with both hands and raise my face.

"Why are you here..."

"I promised to protect you. But I hurt you...... you should still have come with me"

My husband wrapped my cheek and said it with a crying face. I, sifting, shook my neck sideways and lay my hands on those hands as usual.

"Let go!! Servant's minute. Oh, I want to! I want to stay!!

My body jumped frightened by the sound of my sister's gold cuts. My husband shifted my body a little, and I saw my sister.

Elsa caught her sister's arm and twisted it up behind her, smiling.

"It's worth dying to snap my wife in the middle of an abrasion."

"Become, the key, how, I want!

Twist up your critical, Elsa or relentless sister's arms.

"Don't underestimate me, I'm a samurai of a clever Liliana who combines the innocence of an angel with the beauty of a goddess, right? With a single wire, the sparkling key opens easily. I also thought about kicking through the door, but it would be tough if you hit your wife, and wouldn't it be tough if you had a knife or something?"

Elsa, who laughed furiously, tied up her sister's wrists twirling with a ribbon she had removed from nowhere, pushing its back and rolling it over the bed.

"Do what!? You think I'm allowed to do this!? I am Countess Ayton!!

"Oh, yeah. But a young Count's warrant injured my wife. You know what that means?

I couldn't get my face up with my head pressed against a stiff chest plate for a long time, and I didn't know what my husband looked like, but that voice was cold as ice and sharp as a knife. With a much scarier voice than the one directed at me in the first night, I pick my husband's clothes all the time. Then you noticed the appliance. My husband handled it like it was broken, and he stroked my back.

"Marquis, that's an ugly monster you don't deserve at all!? How can you shelter it!!

"... Elsa, I hear this is very retarded. We're gonna have to preach later. Shut the fuck up."

The power of my husbands hand in the shuddering voice loosens up and looks back at the bed.

"You think you can defy me when it comes to ugly monsters!?

My sister screams as I roll like a potato bug on the bed. But I chuckled and Elsa muttered, "You're really loud," and when I took out the handkerchief, I blocked my sister's mouth. Phew says something about a mollusk, but I don't know what you're talking about. You're probably denigrating me.

"Quiet now, ma'am, are you hurt... well"

I finally got my eye on Elsa, who looked back, and I tried to hug Elsa, but her legs stopped because Elsa noticed my red, swollen cheeks and she looked straight at me. My husband, who let me go distracted, will try to put me back in his arms again. Elsa slowly looked back at her sister when she came to her true face.

And gradually I grabbed my fist and shook it up.

"E, E, Elsa! You shouldn't!

I rush into Elsa's arms to stop her.

"Oh, my wife is really kind! But that's okay, just look at this fix up there, but you don't have to hide the abrasion that's on your face because your personality is too bad!!

"No. If I hit my sister, Elsa's hand will hurt. And then you won't be able to take care of my hair, will you?

Hard work, I twisted out a reason to stop Elsa. I was anxious if it would work, but Elsa said, "That's tough!" And he held me tight. Apparently you succeeded.

"It's torture not to be able to touch your wife's beautiful hair because of such an abrasion!

"Oh, yeah? Then don't hit me."

"Yes."

I was relieved in a different way by Elsa, who honestly nodded at me.

Elsa loosens her arm and peeks into my face. My blue eyes narrowed sadly to my cheeks.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, if only I'd kicked through the door sooner..."

I shake my neck sideways at the sound of repentance from the bottom of my heart.

"I should have slashed the door too"

I even mentioned that to my husband. They're really sweet people even though they're nothing like this. It's just a little noisy though.

"This much is fine. More than that, I need to go find Cedric... there's a blood stain on my bed, and apparently your father whipped me, so I need to find it soon..."

Elsa ran her gaze over the bed, but I can't see those marks because my sister is rolling. My sister, who knows where Cedric is, stares at Elsa with defiant eyes.

"Okay. I'll make you throw up."

"You can't hit me, I promised!

I will also hold and stop Elsa holding her fist. My husband cooperated with me, so we'll stop Elsa.

"Please let me go, ma'am! Let go, shithead!

"No!

"Yes! Easy, Elsa!"

Elsa's back fist entered her husband's cheek. Still, my husband holds Elsa down by strangling her wings. I also try to hold onto Elsa from the front to try to stay still.

"Sir, Elsa said you discovered Master Cedric! Do what...!

Mr. Frederick, who jumped into the room, circled his eyes and came running over here. Elsa stopped rumbling perfectly about whether she heard Mr. Frederick.

"Did they find you?

"Yes, but I got cautious and hidden..."

"Ho, is that true? Is Cedric safe?

I look up to Mr. Frederick and ask him.

"You're safe, but you're hiding and you're not coming out. I think as soon as your wife goes, we'll figure it out."

"Let's go, come, Liliana"

If I took the hand my husband offered me, I was drawn a lot and held up again. But now I know this is definitely the faster way to see Cedric, so I'll stick with my arm around my husband's neck.

"That's right. Hold on to me that way. Freddie, where are you?

"This is your wife's room."

"Okay. Come."

Soon Elsa had her sister's legs tied up with ribbons as well.

Yes, my husband ran out following the two people who nodded. I kind of noticed the noise inside the mansion. You can hear some footsteps.

My husband runs up the stairs and runs through the hallway at a speed that makes it sound like a lie to hold me.

And it was my room that arrived. Mr. Frederick's wife didn't seem to be your stepmother, she seemed to be talking about me. For some reason, the door was missing.

"Look, it's the Knights' Medal. Come on out."

When you enter the room, Master Alphonse crawls by the bed and peeks under the bed. When I met him earlier, he was dressed for an outing, but now he was dressed in a Knights uniform with a black tone.

"Oh, Lily! Cedric, look, it's your sister Liliana!!

"Cedric!"

I called Cedric as I asked my husband to put me down.

There was a rattling noise and from under the bed, I saw the same pale golden hair as me and purple beautiful eyes crept and distorted as soon as I found me.

"Sister Lily."

I also rushed out forgetting the pain in my leg and hugged Cedric, who jumped in.

"Li, Lili, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!

I raised my voice and cried out. I felt a little thin. My chest made a giddy noise to my young brother and it hurt.

I realized Cedric's little hand had been turned to cling to my back and I held him tight as long as I could. I couldn't stand the tears of zero again, either, and I wet Cedric's hair. Cedric also called me over and over again, as I called my name over and over again.
