3 – Lecture (2)

“Now, everyone gather at the training grounds.”

With that, the students in the classroom craned their necks.

I crossed my arms and continued talking.

“Is your hearing bad? I said gather at the training grounds.”

“I have a question.”

Upon hearing that, a student who looked unruly raised his hand featly.

As if inviting him to speak I tilted my chin up, without hesitation he asked his question.

“Are we actually doing practicals today?”

It’s no wonder that he reacted this way.

Until now, the Elik I’ve inhabited has never done a practical lesson, has he?

It was always boring theory classes.

“Right. We’re doing practicals. So change into your training uniforms right now.”

With that, I headed towards the training grounds.

***

A moment later.

Upon arriving at our destination, there was another class lecturing at the training grounds besides ours.

It was none other than class B next door.

“Hmm? Professor Elian? What brought you here?”

At that moment, Veil Von Arto, the dedicated professor for class B who noticed my arrival, approached adjusting his intellectual glasses.

“Yes. Our class is planning practical lessons for today.”

“Yes…?”

-The owner. How come that’s your reaction if you haven’t practiced much?

I felt really aggrieved.

It wasn’t me, it was Elick who didn’t do it.

-The owner. Are you still having such delusions?

‘In fact, you also know that what I said is true.’

-I know the owner doesn’t lie, but that’s no guarantee of truth!

A bayonet who insists on denying my words.

Ignoring such a guy, I turned my gaze to Veil.

“Surprised, are you?”

“Ah… er, excuse me. I never expected that Professor Elick, of all people, would give practical lessons.”

It was not only Veil who was surprised. The students in the next class were equally wide-eyed.

Then, Veil suggests with a grin.

“Why not join us for a joint lesson considering the situation?”

“Hmm…”

Actually, this situation is exactly the same as the previous round.

I didn’t prepare properly to give practical lessons in the previous round either.

‘What should I do?’

-The owner. Of course, don’t you have to do the same as the previous round?

‘A while ago, you didn’t believe. Have you started to believe now?’

-“I believe in regression, Master, but not the rest.”

The Jukchang who was simply telling me what I wanted to hear.

As I casually put my hand in pocket, I firmly press Jukchang on the ring.

“Hmm.”

-Aargh!

Something was drastically misunderstood as the individual in front of me, Veil, squints his eyes.

At the same time, Jukchang was screaming.

‘Hmm. Should I accept?’

I had refused in the previous round.

Frankly, I thought there might be a hidden catch knowing that Veil, in front of me, dislikes Ellick.

However, I can confidently say now that I can beat the professor in front of me.

Do I not have Jukchang and the battle-hardened skills and actual combat experience that I’ve been nurturing until now?

From Noble mtl dot com

‘Beating a professor is as easy as pie.’

-Master! I understand so stop tormenting me!

Jukchang, who finally seemed to realise his error, apologized.

‘I, who have a broad mind, should forgive him, indeed. Yes, indeed.’

-No one has a narrower mind than the Master…

‘I’ll press you again…’

-There’s no one without a narrow mind!

As expected of my weapon, he seems to know well about his master.

Anyways, although I’m digressing, I can easily overpower the professor right now.

However, if I were to participate in his class…

‘Heroines might become suspicious.’

-What? Then, isn’t it same as before and should be refused?

‘While that is the correct approach…’

The problem is whether I do or not, frankly, being caught is only a matter of time.

They are such crazy women that they must know all of my habits.

I guarantee that there are some who are already suspecting that I’ve regressed.

‘In the end, it’s the same either way. So, it’s not bad to make this place confusing by calling it a parallel world!’

-My master is really smart or dumb.

‘I will take it as a compliment.’

That’s when I hear the compliment from Joongchang.

“What do you plan to do, Professor Ellic?”

Bail asks in a sharp voice, as if he had run out of patience.

I responded to his question.

“Yes. Joint class wouldn’t be bad. It might also help the next practical lesson. Do you have anything in mind?”

“Hmm. I haven’t thought of it yet…”

“Then how about the two of you demonstrate a duel as an example?”

Then a student, who had asked me a question earlier, suggests.

As I turn my head toward the place, all of our class students have gathered.

“I don’t mind. Are you okay with it?”

Bail provokes, with a smirk.

It seems necessary to educate the professor before the students after all.

“Yes. I don’t mind either.”

That’s how the first lecture unintentionally turned into a duel between professors.

***

Unlike Veil who had a dedicated weapon, I, who had nothing, lingered thoughtfully in the weaponry storage.

-“Master, why don’t you just use me?”

‘I would, of course, but using you openly is a problem.’

Even if I displayed a development different from the previous times, the moment I openly use a Jukchang, it would be definite that we’d be discovered.

-Hmm, seems like we’d be found out either way.

‘Still, using a Jukchang and not using one are vastly different. The moment we use one, our chances of being discovered shoot up.’

-Well, that is true.

‘And actually, there’s another reason I am behaving this way now.’

From the start, I wanted to see the reaction of the potential Yandere candidates.

If the candidates see my demeanor is different from the previous times, they would naturally have some type of reaction.

-So, did any exist, Master?’

‘Hmm, not all of them, but two were definitely present.’

-Who?

‘Jane and the Holy Maiden.’

Upon seeing my unexpected actions, both women’s brows furrowed.

With this, it’s safe to say that at least these two are nearly regressions.

‘So, what should we use?’

-Um. It’s enjoyable to transform into a Jukchang, but since we can’t do that, what about that over there, Master?

I moved my gaze towards the direction she had pointed.

And I couldn’t help but crack a smile upon seeing the weapon that came into view.

‘Not bad.’

Smiling, I transformed into a perfect replica of the weapon.

Soon after, taking the transformed Jukchang, I left the weaponry storage.

***

Elick emerging from the weaponry storage.

Seeing the weapon he chose, Veil bore an expression of acceptance.

‘Is it indeed a magic wand?’

Originally, wasn’t the Vandesarr family not a magical lineage at all?

So, it’s only natural for Elyk, born from such a family, even if it’s fallen, to possess a magic wand.

‘I can finally reveal his truth.’

In fact, from Vail’s perspective, nothing about Elyk was appealing.

Didn’t the rumors say that he had used his connections to become a senior professor?

Considering his family’s background, it wasn’t strange.

The Vandesarr family, in reality, holds the greatest authority aside from the royal family.

‘Originally.’

Considering the actions he’s shown up until now, even without this speculation, it’s quite absurd.

All he ever did was lecture theoretically.

Moreover, wasn’t his reputation not well-received among the students?

‘It wouldn’t be bad to teach him a lesson today.’

Thinking that, the two people confronted each other in the training field.

Soon, a student lowered his hand from top to bottom.

“Begin now!”

At the end of his words, Vail created a magic formula with a superfast speed incantation.

And then.

-Whaaack!

Magical power spewed out from his body through the circuit.

The students, who have seen his magical power, have their eyes wide open.

-Wow. Professor Vail. Look at the magical power. It’s insane.

-“It really seems professors are on a different level.”

-“Just look at the magic circle.”

The students’ eyes sparkled while looking at Veil’s magic circle.

It’s natural that they would be surprised.

The magic that Veil manifests isn’t at an ordinary level; it’s at a high tier similar to what a court magician would use.

For these students, it would be a sight rarely seen.

-“But why is Professor Elick standing still?”

-“Don’t tell me… can he not use magic, like the rumors suggest?”

-“No way. Even if Elick is a good for nothing, as part of the Bandesar family, can’t he use even a single magic spell?”

Veil moved his gaze straight ahead after hearing the students’ words.

Soon, Veil widened his eyes in surprise, noticing Elick who was calmly observing him.

‘What the…’

A battle between magicians was usually decided by the swiftness of casting and the power of their magic, right?

But Elick is neither exerting magical power nor casting – all while maintaining a relaxed expression. This inexplicably invokes feelings of being completely ignored.

‘He’ll regret this.’

Veil finished casting while thinking this.

The completion of his casting took just about a second.

He then proceeds to use magic.

-“Ah!”

A massive fireball headed toward Elick.

‘What? Why isn’t he dodging?’

Even if he had equipped a barrier bracelet before the bout, if he is hit by this high-tier magic, he’ll surely suffer a major injury.

So he should be showing at least some signs of movement…

As the students, including Veil, were becoming puzzled by Elick’s lack of reaction…

-Thud.

Slowly, he started to move.

But, unexpectedly, Elick was not avoiding the fireball but approaching it.

‘What?!’

Veil, who saw this, was wondering whether to cancel the fireball.

-Thwack!

With one swing of the wand in his hand, he utterly destroyed the fireball.

Simultaneously.

“Cough!”

An indescribable pain he could feel throughout his body.

Surely, the action he had shown was merely to stop the magic.

He hadn’t done anything more.

However, a sudden surge of agony hit, something he’d never felt before.

“What is this…”

“Ugh. Guess you don’t faint if I indirectly strike you.”

Then, seeing his reaction sneered Elick.

Suddenly, Elick, who had approached him, opened his mouth.

“This is physical magic!”

With this caveat, he struck downwards with his magical wand.

-Pop!

At that moment of impact with his magical wand.

“Aarrgh!”

The pain, which was different from before, raced through his brain and pervaded his body.

At the same time, his vision turned pitch black.

***

Veil, who had been knocked out by the justice of physical magic.

Indeed, physical magic is the best of all magic.

-To be precise, thanks to my ability, ahem!

‘Alright. I’ll do it for you.’

-Do it like that instead!

-At this very moment, a voice begging me to ‘do it’ just like before.

-I suppose I should do it now, but if not, this fellow will keep on bumbling around. So, I’d better grant the request.

-I take a deep breath and place my magic wand in front of me.

-Here we go.

-Pop!

-Do it gently like that.

-Alright. Here it is!’

-This fellow laughs heartily as he speaks.

At the same time,

[A reward awaits you from your previous class for having come here].
