The First King of Beasts

57 Body Harvest III

'Seems using my skill was the answer all along.'

Dustin caught the movement of what seemed to be just a background texture in the surrounding, and immediately knew that the beast was the one making the movement. Luckily for him and Aria, the moment in which he had noticed the movement was also the moment when the beast was going to jump out of it's hiding and attack.

As the beast rushed towards them to execute its attack in one motion, Dustin pulled Aria behind him, and as bringing his weapon out first would waste time, he resulted to using his fist, and pummelled the beast to the ground hard. Unexpectedly, he had used his full strength, causing the beast to die instantly after receiving one attack from him.

It turned out that the beasts were like assassins with little health and defence, only having good attack and stealth abilities. Though, it was more accurate to call this a camouflage. The Forest Calmeria Lynx's coat and fur resembled that of the surrounding terrain to a fault. The green was exactly the same with that of the vegetation around, and their spots also blended perfectly.

"Wow. A monster was that close to us? I didn't even know. You are awesome brother Dustin." Aria said with fascination showing clearly on her face.

Dustin just smiled and gave her a thumbs up before explaining to her how they were going to hunt these creatures. Their speed was prominent, but Dustin felt like they would be something close to cheetahs when it came to biting and the likes. He didn't exactly know what a Lynx was supposed to be like, so he could only speculate.

The next few Lynxes, Dustin would wait for them to attack, then he would then block them, and while in that state where they were yet to gain a strong footing, Aria would move in and kill it. He could obviously do it himself, but the kid needed some fun of her own. It would be quite boring if she came all this way and didn't even hunt anything.

Now that he was sure of Aria's capabilities after seeing her move and attack a couple times, he knew what he would be able to put her against later. No matter how Dustin saw it, killing more of these monsters and beasts was the best choice. There was no other reason as to why they would be allowed to roam around this much.

..

"Master, we have a problem. A little one." A lady said.

"What is it now? If it is a small problem, you should take care of it yourself right?" A man responded.

"Yeah, well, this is something you will be interested in."

"…" "Is it about that boy again?"

"Certainly. He has killed the Orc that was placed in the initial area for the second phase."

"…" "Seriously, what is up with that guy and interfering with our plans? On the contrary, he is quite impressive, isn't he?"

"Come on Aria, let's move to another area. Or are you tired?" Dustin asked Aria who just took the core out of the last monster she just killed.

"No! I can keep going, I'm not tired at all!"

'This kid. If I go with what she's saying, she might actually end up over exhausting herself, seeing as she already is. She is a proper body harvester at this point, huh.'

Victor took Aria around, just walking about killing random beasts while having a discussion. They talked about nothing serious, just normal chat, and when the day was getting to the evening, Dustin decided it was time they left. Through his help, she was able to kill plenty E rank beasts which was beneficial to her, though, none of them knew of this fact at this moment.

On their way back, Aria returned Dustin's waist bag to him where she had stashed the beast cores, and he allowed her to keep the rest which filled up her own pouch. He had enough already, and the only reason he still was greedy about these cores was if they became a good commodity in future, which he knew it would. By the time he returned to earth and started taking in disciples, he would also have a steady way to reward them and also make them stronger, as the cores could be absorbed.

Another major reason for stacking them up was because of Sil. Dustin planned to awaken him the moment he returned, as that had been him his mind since he got the progenitor title. His plan was to turn Sil into a young master that trained in the mountains in seclusion and when he came out, became a top master in the world, battling the strongest and winning. The thought of this alone made Dustin smile a little, and sinisterly at that, like he was plotting something else behind his brotherly plan.

On the way back, Dustin carried Aria on his back as she had gotten so tired that she actually fell asleep while they stopped to rest before climbing the mountain. The reason why they even stopped in the first place was for her to rest, but since she even fell asleep, it was no problem at all.

When they got back to the town, he took her to the city hall where he and the girls agreed to meet, and handed her over to them, and even now she was still sleeping. Dustin explained to them that she was just tired and that she had not been exposed to any danger just like they agreed. He also made sure to point out that he left her with the cores in her own pouch, and that no one was to rip her off and cheat her. Though, he didn't actually see them as the type to do so, it was always better when the warning was given.

After that, they both parted ways, and Dustin went home.

That night when Aria woke up and shared her experience on the other side of the mountain which Dustin, everyone was quite shocked. Even Mizu who usually didn't show much expression was shocked enough that she was almost knocked off the chair she was sitting on. To think Dustin would say that she wasn't exposed to any danger after taking her to kill E rank monsters, they just couldn't believe it. All they could was thank god nothing happened, and further more respect his strength. The way Aria told the story, it sounded like he literally one shotted every beast they came across. Though this was sometimes, it might have been a little exaggerated in other parts.

Dustin ended up forgetting to use the cores again, and for the rest of the week went into the forest to hunt each day, taking Aria along two more times before he stopped. Every single time they went into the forest,, it seemed like the events were getting more and more out of hand, and Raven actually feared that something might end up happening to Aria, so she used all the tricks in her book to get them not to go together.

Quickly, a month passed, and once again everybody had grown stronger, and the divided was starting to become evident. While others flourished and grew stronger and make bonds and new comrades, others became miserable and became unable to survive in this new environment they found themselves.

Many resulted to stealing and the likes, and such activities were beginning to rise within the town, not like the soldiers weren't doing anything about it though. In this short period of time too, the two brothers had managed to make a name for themselves, and their group, which they now had turned into a guild was growing rapidly. Their guild was the Genan Guild

Nathan was recognized as the Vice-leader of the guild, and his brother Marcel was the Leader. Apart from them, two other guilds also rose, though not near the strength the Genan had, they were strong in their own rights.

Dustin also moved into the house he had requested for in this time, and now was a little bit away from the town and all that went on constantly around the place. People that were still yet to complete the iitial quest also came to the town one after another, and the group Dustin have rescued sometime back were also back and functioning. They did try finding Dustin to express their gratitude, but no one knew where to find him, so they left it to fate that they meet again.

After the last night of that night passed and everyone was ready to go back to their houses, an announcement much like the one that happened on earth prior to the incident where they all were dragged to this world was made, and it was none other than the messenger himself.
