The Emperor’s Angel of Death

Chapter 76: Fright in the Mine (Part 2)

A whole group of deadly creatures living in the sinkhole rushed towards them at high speed. They looked like spiders, but they had no carapace. They had only strange bare skin, similar to human skin, each of them the size of an adult male.

They apparently found their prey and rushed forward desperately. Thousands of them, dark green compound eyes were like ghosts in the dark.

Although there are a lot of them, Soshyan is confident that he can repel them on the open ground.

But here, in such a complicated environment, the eight interstellar warriors may not be able to retreat in front of this unknown creature.

In order to avoid unnecessary casualties, Soshyan decided not to engage in frontal conflict

The narrow trail suddenly became a safer choice.

   "Go here!"

Soshyang waved his hand to let Thor lead the other six fighters into the narrow path, and he was behind him.

The pioneers of the biota have begun to appear on the cliff behind them, Soshyan fired a shot in the general direction, and then the scream cut through the air.

Although he didn't aim carefully at all, because his shooting instinct was superb enough, the thing at the head immediately exploded like a balloon full of confetti.

The few others behind immediately stopped to enjoy this unexpected meal.

But the rest of the monsters continued to charge, approaching like a big wave.

"It seems that the reason for the disappearance of the workers has been found."

Not long after Soshyang entered the trail, he discovered that the road turned out to be trumpet-shaped and began to narrow, forcing him to move sideways.

Then he started to worry that he would lead everyone to a dead end.

"But they have never mentioned such dangerous native creatures."

Almin picked up the stubble subconsciously again. He walked at the fastest speed in front of Soshyang-but not very fast, because he not only had to maintain his own balance, but also had to pay attention to whether there was anything near his head.

After , Soshyang shot precisely with a pistol, but every time he killed one, more animals appeared.

   "They are above us!"

Almin suddenly yelled, but Soshyan had sensed the danger before this. These arachnid creatures, like human skin, were firmly grasping the cliff and spreading out on top of their heads.

They are like blood spewing from a torn artery, rushing in front of them and cutting off the road.

The first monster to climb on the road turned to face them, his jaw rattling like the teeth of a person in the cold wind.

Saul shot it to the head, but only got a second or two.

   "We are surrounded."

Soshyan told everyone, and turned his head to look back, but it was impossible to turn back along the path. These creatures had completely blocked the road from top to bottom, and the only weapon made no sense to deal with such a large number.

"Keep going."

But Thor calmly gave orders. It was surprising that he could still maintain such a calmness.

   "There is a way out"

Although his words are as unpredictable as usual, they at least sound confident, and it is because of his keen insight and sophisticated experience that Soshyan decided to bring him by his side.

"Great!"

Soshyan swept away the human skin spider behind him with a burst of rapid fire.

He has burned out a magazine, but in this case it doesn't make much sense to save ammunition.

And Thor, at the forefront, had already rushed out of the passage, and his sword pierced the darkness like a shooting star, slicing several monsters into several pieces.

The warriors rushed out and greeted the creatures with bullets and sharp blades.

Soshyang was the last one to rush out of the tunnel. While changing his magazines, he hurried forward, and suddenly stepped on the stasis blood, plus the slippery moss, and almost slipped.

But then he breathed a sigh of relief-what Saul said was true, there was a crack just a few meters away, and the light was looming.

   "You go down first."

Saul, who was splashing a shower of blood with his sword, suddenly spoke to Soshyang with a communicator.

"After confirming that the following is safe, we will go down later."

Before he could think about it, Soshyang lowered his head and got in.

But he didn't expect that the crack was slanted and very slippery.

caught off guard, he slid down a steep cave in a head-down position, and was about to hit the ground fiercely and embarrassingly.

Soshyang forced himself to calm down and raised his arms to cover his head. Although this made him unable to see the front, it was enough to protect the vitals.

In the process, he heard the sound of running water, thinking that he was going to fall into a pool or underground river.

But in the end it didn't.

Just when he didn't know how long he had slipped, he suddenly rushed out of the cave and landed heavily on a thick moss mat exuding a foul smell.

The posture was unsightly, but at least it fell to the ground without breaking any part.

   "Be safe below."

When he was speaking, he could already hear the fierce fighting in the communicator.

   "Almin, you go down!"

This is Thor's voice, and Soshyan immediately rolled to the side to make sure that he would not be hit by the ensuing subordinates.

Soon, Almin slid out of the cave.

   "It's disgusting."

He stood up and looked at the softer landing in disgust, as well as the residue left on his power armor, the blood of those monsters and the moss that had just been stained, turning the original silver gray into a dirty dark green.

"So you would rather fall on a rock?"

Hearing Soshyan's words, the young soldier shrugged.

"of course not."

Then, the soldiers slid out of the hole one by one.

The last person who appeared was Sol, his posture was perfect, and he was the only one who could land on both feet.

"This thing is probably excavated by those monsters."

Thor looked back at the cave.

"They? They don't look like they have this ability~www.NovelMTL.com~No, there should be."

Thor raised his right hand and showed the shallow burn marks on the arm armor to everyone.

"Their saliva is corrosive and may not be very strong, but as long as there is enough time, it is not difficult to dig such a channel."

Soshyang stepped forward to observe the edge of the cave, and found that there were indeed traces of looking down, and recalled that the smooth inner wall did not seem to be naturally formed.

"So, this place may be full of such monsters, please be careful."

While talking, he carefully observed the surrounding environment.

This is a huge space, and you can't see the end at a glance. Except for stalactites and ponds, there are many moss and underground plants everywhere.

But there are no traces of artifacts.

   "Huh? What is this?"

Almin suddenly made a gesture to point to a soft light source in the distance. Soshyang turned his head and saw that those things that looked like trees looked quite beautiful.

At first glance, all the trees seem to have no leaves or even branches, but he can't be completely sure, because the lower part of the tree is tightly entangled by some kind of pale plant.

At this time, Soshyan noticed a detail.

"It seems that the distances between the masses are the same, and it doesn't seem to be the result of random growth."

"Sir, do you mean that some people planted them?"

   Soshyang shook his head.

   "Or built them."

   Thor then added,

"So until we examine them carefully, we can't be sure if they are organic creatures."
