51. Confessions of a Young Witch

51.

“Why? Have you ever seen magic, young lady?”

“Uh…. Uh….”

The young witch saw Escelia behaving as if she had forgotten to keep her mouth shut, grabbed her navel, and burst out laughing at her.

“What, is this your first time seeing real magic? Look at this lady Are you really seeing magic for the first time? No matter how few wizards there are. If you go to a big city, there must be at least one or two people, right? Have you ever spent your whole life in a religious city?”

Although her last words were meant to be a joke, her words penetrating the truth almost caused Esilia to spit out a scream from her gaping mouth. She barely managed to get air into her mouth and inflate her cheeks, stopping her screams and at the same time explaining how she felt.

The witch also raised the corners of her mouth even wider to emphasize that she was joking, and waved her hands. She then turned her head to the others who remained. And the witch was disappointed. The man did not show any particular reaction.

Although, the woman with her puffy cheeks also covered her face with her wide-brimmed hat, the various movements of her lower body made her witch amused by showing a mood as colorful as her movements. But all the man had was a hat covering his face, and it was hard to find anything in common with that woman. The witch said in a slightly lost voice.

“Has our strong man seen this many times? I don’t know if it’s magic, but I don’t think there are many people who can enter a wizard’s workshop.”

Only then did the man show the reaction the witch expected.

“A workshop? Is this a studio?”

And the witch had to feel disappointed again at the next words that followed.

“Wasn’t it a laboratory attached to the studio?”

“Ah, that’s it! I know enough that my pellet-sized workshop doesn’t satisfy our handsome, strong man, so I’ll stop there. Shit. The wizard’s pride sucks.”

Of course, the Death Knight’s words weren’t aimed at disparaging witches, but a simple question out of curiosity. She was, after all, the magician with whom she had the closest connection. She was a witch who tried to consume a continent.

And most magic wielders have workshops large enough to handle their skills. Feeling curious about the word workshop, Jer Pied raised her head and took in the overall scenery with her eyes. He seemed to have reduced the workshop of the witch who had contracted with him to a very small size. In the form of drastically lowering the quality of things and erasing cleaning from my head.

The moment she turned her head to the right to look elsewhere, she flinched slightly at empty glass bottles hanging from the ceiling that suddenly appeared in her field of vision. The height of the workshop was roomy for a young witch, but for the Death Knight, it was as high as if she could hit the ceiling with one jump.

Seeing him like that, the young witch burst out laughing at the satisfaction she had finally shown. Although she quickly lost her fun at the sight of her unresponsive to seeing her own laugh, of course. Still, she laughed quite a bit, and the young witch was satisfied. She shrugged her shoulders and moved on.

“Before we depart, there is one thing to check.”

At those words, Esilia tilted her head.

“Wasn’t this the destination?”

“What? Like that strong man said, what are you talking about in a place the size of a rat? I know at least that my studio isn’t that big. This is the place I stopped by to catch my breath, and the place to go from now on is my house. That’s why-“

The young witch held out her right index finger and pointed at the Death Knight and her saintess. She said in a confident voice.

“You need to take off your hat!”

The two flinched at her words. However, it was in the exact opposite form. Ecilia shuddered in surprise at those words, and Zer Pied stiffened her body slightly with tension. Seeing the reaction of the two, the young witch said with a slight disappointment.

“Why is this? I even showed my face like this. I’ve helped you guys on a humanitarian basis, but I’m not a stupid bitch who randomly introduces people who don’t know who they are. I need to at least know about you guys so I can take you into my house or not.”

Escelia raised her hand upwards for a moment before stopping and hesitating in the air above her. She was grateful for saving them, but she didn’t know if she should take off her hat to reveal her face. It was the same with Zerfied. This Impellor was currently the most dangerous place they had ever visited.

During the period of about a month and a half, while she was with Celia, she faced quite a few situations in which her saintess’ life was threatened, but it was all raids or hiding places of common enemies under her demon temple. Even though it was an alleyway, it was the first time since escorting her saintess that she had attempted to openly attack her in broad daylight in the village.

No one can predict how things will turn out, no matter how friendly the young witch in front of them is. Jer Pied groped the brim of her hat with his hand, contemplating what to do.

Which is more important: the threat of the village right now at their feet or the danger of an unknown future? Inevitably, the choice was the former. If Ecilia died right now, everything would be over.

He gave her a slight nod, indicating that he would obey her witch’s words. Then she leaned over and whispered to Celia what she had just thought. Upon hearing that, Celia nodded her head shyly and took off her hat.

“Wow.”

Seeing Celia’s bare face in

, Her witch’s brief exclamation burst out. Ecilia shrank her body in shame. Obviously, not too much time has passed, but somehow it was a reaction that seemed like it had been a while. It wasn’t the first reaction I’d seen. If you reveal her own different colored eyes, she usually reacts like that.

“Your eyes are so pretty.”

“… Don’t stare too hard.”

Her saintess’ face immediately turned red. Ashamed of it, Celia half covered her own face with her hat. Seeing this, the witch burst out laughing. The young witch let out a big laugh and turned her gaze towards Zerpie Ed. Zer Pied was unstoppable in removing her hat. As before, admiration flowed from her witch’s mouth.

“Oh… ….”

Even though the format was completely different, the same words flowed from Esilia’s mouth.

“Too, stare, look, don’t.”

As expected, the format was completely different. Still, it was the same that the young witch burst into laughter upon hearing her saintess’ words. Stealing a small tear from her eye, the young witch turned her around. She then fumbled for some parts of the wall on one side of the workshop.

-Koo-Goo Palace!

Soon the stone wall groaned and parted with a sound that was not very smooth. Ecilia opened her mouth, but Ger Pied, who had already seen something similar in her former contractor’s workshop, was unimpressed. The witch strode her stride through the crack. With her body completely inside the gap, she stuck her head out and said to the two of them.

“What are you doing? Hurry up and follow me.”

After the two of them walked through the gap, the waiting young witch groped somewhere along the wall again. When the wall closed with a sound similar to the previous one, darkness settled everywhere. As if the witch, who couldn’t see properly, was familiar, she groped somewhere on the other wall.

The walls on either side went luminous with a distinctive wooing sound. Esilia’s eyes lit up as if she had picked a star from the sky and pinned it to the wall. The witch giggled at the sight.

“How is it, isn’t it great? The wavelengths of magical power matched each other and made them resonate. It took quite a bit of time to put this together.”

“I don’t think it’s good enough. It would have taken a considerable amount of time to put the same amount of magic into all of these spheres. Great.”

“Sure, then. It was really hard to put all the magic power into each one, and it broke the staff… Are you a wizard?”

A witch walked down her hallway and looked at Zer Pied, her eyes wide. Her eyes widened as well as Esilia. She had never heard anything specific about magic from the escort knight. Zerfied lightly set the two women’s attention aside.

“I just wandered around and heard it over her shoulder.”

Rejecting that, Zer Piedt moved on with her steps. He decided to beat the young witch first before asking her questions. His prediction was correct. It was because the spirit of inquiry unique to a magician was about to be activated in a witch.

“What the hell is this town doing?”

“What? Didn’t you know? No, can’t you know for a second? But… Most of the people who entered were dragged away…. Damn, I’ve been living here for so long, now I’m confused about everything.”

The young witch rested her chin on her chin, her gaze fixed on her ceiling. She then moved forward, prancing her long legs diagonally and back and forth. She looked like a little girl playing around, but she was quite tall for a witch, so it seemed very unique. She repeated the action several times before the witch suddenly stopped. At the same time, her hand fell off her chin as well. She said, turning her head behind her.

“How much do you guys know?”

“What do you mean?”

“Don’t you know anything? If you don’t know anything, get out of here right now. I’ll help you get out. Get out and go all the way south. Go down south and reach the big city and you’ll be safe. If you stay here, the same thing will happen again.

It’s not very hospitable to strangers. No, rather than saying that it is not favorable, it should be said that if you do not agree, you will not be treated as equal. You guys should be able to go all the way south. I saw you fight earlier. Was it very fast? Power is also strong.

The kids I tried to help with before were almost all righted away and I never had a chance to help them properly. Because the kids who want to catch you are also on a food line. So, when you get to my house, I’ll pack some things for you, so get out of there right away. Never get caught If caught… You will suffer worse than death.”

“At the Magic Tower?”

The young witch made a sound of astonishment.

“What?! Did you know?! No, I know, but did you come in here?! Are you crazy?! No, wait, wait! More than that, how did you know that this is a town related to the Mage Tower!?”

Zer Pied calmly shook her head.

She

She said, “I just guessed. She found a place where old people were gathered on her way to Impellier. It was a desolate place with nothing in the building, only blankets and old people. The old people there treat the magic tower almost like an idol. To the point where his attitude would change immediately if he said even the slightest strange thing about the Mage Tower. She was wary of the Mage Tower in the first place because she had been through that kind of thing.”

Hearing that sound, the witch frowned. She stuck out her tongue with a look that made her vomit at any second.

“Damn it… It’s a nursery…. Was there a nursery in the west too? Ehardo is the direction in which people from other continents flow, so most of them must be in the north….”

“Then how do you know about this situation?”

At that, the young witch laughed. Before I knew it, the light on the glowing wall was gradually fading. Slowly leaning her body against one side of the wall, the witch moved as if pushing against the wall with her back. With a gurgling sound, the walls started spinning. What I could see through the gap was the scenery of a house. The witch held out one of her arms wide as if introducing herself.

“Welcome to my home. I think it’s the first time a guest is coming. Welcome anyway Oh, how did I ask you to know about this situation?”

The witch raised the corner of her mouth even more. It was as if she was being lifted by force. At first glance, she said, it even looked grotesque.

“I was once a member of the Magic Tower.”

Her horse fell to the ground, wrapped in melancholy.
