36 – Planning. (2)

“Whose order is this? “Why are they targeting us?”

Ruslan asked, looking at Andromalius, the red-skinned devil standing between him and Aris.

“Is there any reason for me to say that? “What kind of idiot would say that out loud?”

Andromalius’ words were correct. There was no way he could have told that to Ruslan. Because if I said that, his head would be blown off.

“Okay. Right.”

Ruslan looked at Andromalius with a fierce expression, as if he didn’t particularly want an answer. Rather, it was because something became clear through Andromalius’ words.

‘Someone is targeting us.’

An entity that Andromalius cannot talk about is targeting them. Who on earth is he that can manipulate the devil?

He raised his sword in doubt. First of all, I was planning on getting rid of the person standing between me and Aris.

I don’t know if that would be possible, but he had no intention of being defeated helplessly. He knew that the power of the Church was widespread in Selus Academy, and if the opponent was truly a devil, it was clear that he would have been weakened by the power of the Church.

I wasn’t particularly letting my guard down. He did this so that he would not feel intimidated or afraid because his opponent was a devil.

If you feel intimidated, you won’t be able to show off your skills. Even more so if the opponent is a devil.

He realized that this was a very dangerous situation, and he felt that he was not the only one in danger. Because it was clear that the red-skinned devil was targeting Aris.

Ruslan raised his sword, took his stance, and looked at Andromalius.

Because it is better to attack first against an opponent who may be stronger than you. Even more than the issue of counterattacking, I heard from a swordsmanship professor what happens if you lose the upper hand in a situation like this.

But it was not Dantalion who would watch it. In the first place, Dantalion was focused on tying Ruslan’s feet.

“”No.””

Multiple voices rang in Ruslan’s ears, and Ruslan’s feet began to freeze as he raised his sword.

“Pfft…” … !”

Only then did Ruslan realize that there were not one enemy, but two. Unlike the red-skinned devil, there were other devils.

But the other demon, Dantalion, did not appear. He was not a devil confident in close combat to begin with, and he had no reason to give his opponent an advantage.

They remembered Nea’s command exactly.

‘Attack these guys, but do it in moderation.’

In moderation. It was always the most difficult thing to say. What nonsense is it that says to attack in moderation? Still, they had to follow. In the first place, strong devils were the law in hell.

What benefit is there in this meaningless action? Even Dantalion, who was quite intelligent, could not figure out Nea’s intention.

But now was not the time to be lost in thought. Dantalion chanted the spell again.

There is no way that Ruslan could be tied up in ice like that. I had to put more pressure on him. At least until Andromalius lands a valid blow on Aris.

Dozens of ice spears filled the air and rained down on the stranded Ruslan. However, Ruslan’s response was also quick, and he concentrated his magic power on his feet, breaking the ice that bound his feet and dodging and striking away all the ice spears coming at him.

Because the situation happened so quickly, Dantalion gritted his teeth and chanted the magic again.

‘A monster…… !’

It was a very strange thing for a devil to say, but there was nothing more accurate than these words. What a monster.

The speed of human growth is amazing. Weak people are infinitely weak, but strong people become incredibly strong in a very short period of time. Even if it is just one entity among many, it usually changes the world.

Ruslan was a human being with a talent that could change the world. Dantalion felt a sense of crisis.

No matter what happens, I will never let this guy know my name. That was why he and Andromalius did not reveal their names to Ruslan and Aris.

If they are these scary bastards, they will definitely find out their names and come to punish them.

But there was something he overlooked.

Ruslan’s senses were already much better than Dantalion thought, and Ruslan had already noticed the guy’s presence.

“Is it there!”

Thanks to the effects of the fairy fruit, Ruslan gained senses far beyond those of an ordinary human, and he was soon able to spot a demon casting spells from a distance.

He was about to take his steps towards Dantalion, but a sound he heard at the same time stopped his steps.

“Ugh…… !”

Suppressed moans. It was Aris’ voice.

Quaaang!

The sound of violently hitting the ground. Embarrassment appeared on Ruslan’s face because he could not move hastily in a situation where Andromalius was engaging in hand-to-hand combat with Aris.

Aris knows a fair amount of swordsmanship, but it is only at the student level. No matter how much power her swordsmanship could use against the devil, how much would she use it?

Aris used a speed spell and somehow managed to avoid the guy’s fist, but Andromalius was also fast enough for his huge size, so she was in a close situation where she could have been hit by the guy at any moment.

In such a situation, would you leave Aris alone and run to Dantalion? Ruslan couldn’t do that.

But even if Dantalion was left alone, it was still a problem. This was because the magic bombardment that was pouring in right now was not at an ordinary level. It is truly a desperate situation.

Ruslan gritted his teeth and ran to Andromalius. Dantalion’s magic bombardment will stop if he blocks it.

It was the worst move to end up with a picture of Aris and I being scattered and being defeated individually. It would have been better to protect Aris and buy her time to use her magic.

“Aris!”

“I’m fine!”

Aris was able to deal with her situation quite resolutely, but the thrill of it all was indescribable.

Ruslan was not the one to just watch that happen. He immediately struck away the fist swung at Aris with his sword.

Tooong!

If you hit her fist with a sword, what you heard was a metallic sound. Ruslan felt a strong shock hit his arm, which had hit the guy’s arm.

It was definitely not an easy opponent. The devil is a being whose danger has been emphasized countless times. Maybe he would be a difficult opponent for someone who was only a student.

But he had no intention of giving up. He recently believed in himself growing gradually. He did not back down, but instead struck with his sword towards Andromalius’s fist that was reaching out again.

Kaaang!

Andromalius’s fist twists its orbit. But there was a snake attached to his arm, which soon turned into steel and shot towards Ruslan.

But of course, Ruslan twisted his body to avoid the guy’s attack. The thought that he could do this began to rise in Ruslan’s mind.

“Aris! “Prepare the magic!”

“What magic!”

“A magic that can explode a powerful noise! So much so that someone would think something big happened here!”

Aris will not be able to crush the demon with firepower right now. However, at least I was able to inform the Academy about what was happening in this place.

“Okay! “Just wait a little while!”

But there is no way that Andromalius and Dantalion could not have heard that sound. Dantalion immediately created a veil of silence around him. Of course, the magic barrier that prevented sound from leaking out would be able to block the noise Aris made.

As the noise around her disappeared along with the strong flow of magical energy, confusion filled Aris’ eyes. The same was true for Ruslan’s eyes. Ruslan eventually abandoned the method he had just thought of and swung his sword even more fiercely at Andromalius.

Because that was the only way left to him.

But did they know that a helper was already approaching them to help them? That too…… A helper sent by the one who sent the devil to them.

Things were going as planned. The low-level demons Nea spoke of were Dantalion and Andromalius.

“Asti. Please.”

“Yes, Prah.”

Asti immediately formed a sphere of demonic energy and launched it at the curtain created by Dantalion, and it exploded.

Quaaang! A powerful torrent of magical energy covered the sky above the academy, accompanied by a loud explosion.

A black fog gradually began to gather, and soon the demon touched the heart of Adrian Deus, a saint who was praying inside the church.

Soon, a brilliant light rose up from the church.

There was no need to see whose divine power it was.

Adrian Deus, a saint who is considered the greatest saint of all time.

She finally made her move.
