Super Lord of the Rings

Chapter 982 [All alliances sign bad contracts]

In six years, Wang Jun led the team to five championships, making the Kings a symbol of Sacramento.

The China Sports Administration contacted Wang Jun and hoped that he would represent the Chinese team in the Olympics. Wang Jun refused directly. He did not want to participate in men's basketball or other sports again.

Brazil's preparations for the Olympics have been regarded as "the worst, the worst, and a cheat", and there are constant voices of doubt. Brazil has been mired in dual political and economic crises over the past year, and even optimistic Brazilians have begun to worry about whether they can successfully host the Olympics.

Wang Jun has already won the gold medal and doesn't want to go again.

On June 24, the draft was held in Brooklyn. The Magic were ranked 11th, out of the protection category, and the pick belonged to the Kings.

The Chinese media is paying special attention to the draft this time because there are two Chinese players participating in the draft, Zhou Qi and Wang Zhelin.

Zhou Qi's template is Kings center Gobert. The two are similar in height and wingspan, but Gobert is stronger.

Gobert is a jerk, even stronger than Zhou Qi. If he doesn't gain weight, it will be difficult for him to adapt to NBA-level confrontation.

Ben Simmons became the No. 1 pick and was selected by the 76ers.

Simmons is only 19 years old and 208cm tall. He previously played for Louisiana State University. He can play guard, forward and center, and can play all positions on the field.

In his freshman season, he averaged 19.5 points, 11.9 rebounds, 5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game, becoming the only player in NCAA history to rank among the top five in the league in points, rebounds, and assists.

Ben Simmons' statistics can be said to be James-like. Even his weaknesses are exactly the same as James's back then, with poor shooting ability and less than 70% of his free throw percentage.

Simmons himself doesn't want to go to the 76ers. He doesn't want to go to the worst team in the league. The team he wants to go to is the Los Angeles Lakers. If the big market becomes the core, it will have a bright future.

Therefore, before the draft, Simmons' economic team had clearly warned the 76ers that he would not go to Philadelphia to play. He hoped to join the Lakers, otherwise he would rather become a parallel import.

Even so, the 76ers recruited him into the team. Who would give up a young man whose draft template is James?

The Lakers selected Ingram with the second pick, known as "Little Durant." In 36 games at Duke, Ingram took 195 shots from beyond the three-point line and made 80 of them, with a shooting percentage of 41%.

The top two picks in this draft are getting a lot of attention.

The rookies in the back are average.

The Bulls selected strong small forward Jaylen Brown with the third pick, but unfortunately missed out on a potential rookie around whom they could build a team.

The Kings selected Domantas Sabonis from Gonzaga University with the 11th pick. He is 208cm tall and weighs 107kg.

This rookie is full of gimmicks. His father is NBA star and international basketball legend Arvydas Sabonis.

This status gave Sabonis an early aura as a teenager. This year Sabonis decided to participate in the draft, and the high attention he received was not mainly due to the influence of his father's generation, but more due to his own outstanding strength.

The Kings have traded their first-round and second-round picks, so there is no need to draft new players. There is a group of people waiting to grab their legs in the summer free market.

Zhou Qi was selected by the Rockets with the 43rd pick in the second round, which was far from what the media predicted. Before the draft, some media almost touted him as a lottery winner. Wang Zhelin was selected by the Grizzlies at No. 57, which is lower.

This is nothing to be happy about. It is difficult for the two of them to immediately log into the NBA with their picks. Even if they get a contract, it may only be a basic salary with no guarantee.

On July 1, the free market opened.

All teams have salary space. The NBA salary cap for the 2016-2017 season is 94 million, and the luxury tax threshold is 113 million.

The Kings are still far from the salary cap. This means they can sign two superstars this summer without paying the luxury tax. The Kings currently dominate the league, and other teams dare not imagine what they will look like if they strengthen again.

The Knicks sent Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon, and Jerian Grant to the Bucks for Derrick Rose, Justin Holiday, and a 2017 second-round pick.

It's too risky to bet on Rose, who has serious injury risks, to play well.

Then, the Knicks poached Warriors center Noah for 72 million in four years, which was not a good signing either. Noah also has injury concerns and shoots poorly.

The Knicks also signed Courtney Lee for 4 years and 50 million. Courtney Lee was able to get such a big contract. Carroll and Aminu were both high-powered players with basic salaries. They misjudged the market and suffered heavy losses.

Mozgov was transferred to the Lakers for 64 million in four years. He was only a marginal substitute in the Cavaliers. This signing is simply crazy.

Clarkson signed a four-year, $50 million contract extension with the Lakers, and the two role players will take home $114 million, making people wonder if Buss Jr. has money and nowhere to throw it.

Bill renewed his contract with the Cavaliers for 128 million in five years, which is another abnormal signing. With the contracts of James, Bosh, and Thompson, it will be difficult for the Cavaliers to renew Oladipo in the future.

There are also cheaper signings. Al Jefferson signed with the Pacers for 30 million in 3 years, Jeremy Lin signed with the Cavaliers for 36 million in 3 years, Telitovich switched to the Bucks for 30 million in 3 years, and the 76ers signed Jaycee with 27 million in 3 years. Bayless.

Even Cavaliers backup point guard Dellavedova signed a four-year, 38.5 million contract with the Bucks. Once Rose leaves, he will have a chance to perform next season and even become a starter.

The Bucks also approached Jeremy Lin, but he refused and wanted to go to a strong team.

The Pelicans signed small forward Solomon Hill for 52 million in four years. This guy was with the Pacers last season, averaging 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, shooting 44.7% from the field, 32.4% from three-point range, and only played 14.7 minutes.

Many Pelicans fans have no idea who this guy is, and his contract is higher than when the Kings signed Curry.

The Magic's signing of swingman Fournier was even crazier. He was just a role player for 85 million in five years. The Cavaliers' contract with Thompson suddenly didn't look so bad.

Drummond, who is worse at free throws than Howard and Jordan, renewed his contract with the Pistons for 130 million for five years, and his salary is on par with Wang Jun's.

Mike Conley signed a five-year, $153 million contract extension with the Grizzlies, becoming the largest contract in history, leaving many big-name stars behind. He averaged only 15.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game last season, shooting 42.2% from the field and 36.3% from three-point range.

After the signing, some basketball experts said that compared with Conley, Wang Jun's annual salary of 50 million is not much. The contract he signed last year was too small.

DeRozan stayed with the Grizzlies for 139 million for five years. Both of them signed super big contracts. They are young and the Grizzlies plan to build a team with them as the core.

The Grizzlies at least renewed their star contract, while the Hornets renewed Batum's contract for 5 years and 120 million, which is really stupid to the extreme. Mortals will never understand Jordan's thoughts.

Batum averaged 11.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2 assists per game in the playoffs, shooting 37.8% from the field and 27.3% from 3-point range. It is hard to imagine that Jordan dismantled half of the Hornets team in order to renew the contract of such a person.

The Timberwolves are the stingiest. Signing Cole Aldridge for 22 million in three years is a big deal.

Howard signed with the Hawks for $7,050 in three years, returned to the Eastern Conference, and left Houston sadly.

The Clippers' three-year, $35 million extension to the brainless swingman Rivers was entirely based on his father's favor.

The Rockets signed Ryan Anderson for 80 million in four years and Eric Gordon renewed for 53 million in four years. Both transactions appear retarded. Morey really doesn't understand basketball, and Anderson's defense is terrible. Without a defensive inside partner, the game is impossible to play.

Gordon has serious injury risks, his annual salary is not high, and attendance is a problem.

On July 5th, the king finally took action...
