Chapter 72: 2nd grade

   "Gryffindor—"

At the opening dinner, George Weasley was sitting on the sorting chair. Professor McGonagall just touched the sorting cap to George's hair, and the sorting cap could not wait to shout loudly.

Just like Fred Weasley just now.

These twins are simply born Gryffindors, and the sorting hat doesn't seem to want to read their quality carefully for a second.

Applause sounded from the Gryffindor long table, welcoming George Weasley.

Kewen was also clapping his hands, watching George leaping happily toward the Gryffindor table, clapping his hands with the other four Weasleys in the academy.

   "Kewen, you said..."

Next to , Wood pushed Cowen with his elbow and said, "Do you think our Gryffindor will one day be completely occupied by the Weasleys?"

"You still care about whether you can sign up for the team this year." Kewen said amusedly: "There are only two positions that are vacated because of graduation."

Wood patted his chest confidently after hearing the words: "Look at Cowen, you know, when I'm on vacation, I practice flying every day."

"Speaking..." Cowen turned to look at the professor's chair, and then asked Wood, "How did the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts change? What about Professor David Cross last year?"

"Don't you know?" Wood said in surprise.

"What should I know?" Kewen was puzzled.

"Professor David, it's all in the Daily Prophet."

Wood explained: "The professor failed to develop the spell during the vacation. He lost an arm because of the backlash of the spell. And because of the effects of black magic, that arm can only be replaced with a prosthesis in the future. I resigned from the professorship."

"Is there anything else?" Kewen was stunned: "I didn't pay much attention to the newspaper."

   "Gryffindor—"

The shouting of the Sorting Hat interrupted the chat between Covin and Wood, and another freshman was assigned to Gryffindor, a girl named Patricia Stimpson.

The little girl looked very nervous. After finishing the academy, she even walked off the stage. She even stepped on the air when she walked down the steps. She staggered, causing the Gryffindor students to laugh in good faith. ...

The food at the school dinner is the most abundant.

Whether it is a Muggle-born student who has been shrouded in dark cooking all the year round, or a student born in the magic world, they will be amazed by the food at the opening dinner.

Even those pure-blooded nobles can't always eat such a plentiful food.

Therefore, after Dumbledore finished his brief speech and announced the start of the dinner, all the students cheered and started enjoying the feast.

Of course, Kewen is an exception.

In the second half of the first grade, he often goes to the kitchen to add meals to himself in the middle of the night. Now, he can order Chinese food from the house elves in the kitchen.

Kewen just raised his mouth casually at the beginning, but he didn't think that those little elves had almost regarded his words as imperial decree, so they learned the recipe of Chinese food in a short time...

After the dinner, the heads of all levels led the freshmen to the lounges of their colleges. Senior students don't have to wait together like first-year freshmen, but do their own activities.

Before leaving the auditorium, Kewen greeted Bill Weasley, who was waiting at the door for the freshmen to gather, who had already been promoted to the fifth grade this year: "Senior, congratulations on your promotion to the prefect."

"Oh? Ah, Kewen." Bill turned around and found that it was Kewen and responded with a smile: "Thank you, I hope you will give more points to our college this year as you did last year. It was a shame last year. Only two points left."

Wood chipped in: "Don't worry! This year's Academy Cup must be our Gryffindor!"

Seeing that he was so sure, Bill couldn't help but ask curiously: "Why?"

"Of course it's because you lost the game last year." Wood said with a high chest up: "I will join the team this year. After taking Quidditch's extra points, plus Cowen's extra points, I will definitely get the academy this year. Cup!"

Bill shook his head with a smile, and muttered in a low voice: "When you meet those Slytherins on the field, you will know why we lost..."

Because of the very noisy environment, Wood did not hear what Bill said. After saying goodbye, he returned to the bedroom with Cowen...

In the dormitory, Kewen greeted the two roommates, and then began to tidy up and salute.

put the second-grade textbooks on the bookshelf separately, but Kewen scratched his head a little, because he had already received the'second-grade textbook notification book' during the vacation, and then spent the vacation time to finish the entire second-grade course by himself.

Under the blessing of the'Memory Charm,' except for Snape's potions, these books are actually useless in his opinion.

   A good night’s sleep.

Kewen did not go to the ‘House of Requests’ on the first day of school. He had accumulated a lot of questions during his self-study during the holiday. He planned to consult the professors before going to the House of Requests to practice.

The next day, the first class of the new school year is ‘Defense Against the Dark Arts’.

Professor New is a middle-aged man like Professor David last year~www.NovelMTL.com~ with a shawl and brown curly hair, he is used to wearing casual suits instead of wizard robes.

Professor's name is Christopher Hein. His teaching method is far worse than last year's Professor David. He will only follow the text and talk about some experience at best.

After a big get out of class, many students can’t help but miss Professor David.

On the way to the cafeteria, several students gathered around Cowen’s classmate Benedic Shaq, only to hear Benedict whisper mysteriously: "Have you heard about our new professor?"

"what's up?"

   "What's the rumor?"

The surrounding students asked quietly, and even Kewen, who was walking behind them, listened intently.

"I've heard of him before..." The Benedict looked around like a thief, then curled his neck and whispered to his classmates: "He used to work in the Department of International Magic Cooperation.

But later it was said that he was dismissed by the Ministry of Magic because he hooked up several witches from other countries and was exposed.

I didn't expect that he would come to teach at Hogwarts! "

"Wow……"

The students around sighed after hearing the words, but how did the expression on their faces look so envy and reverie?

Kewen is speechless, you guys are not right.

shook his head, Kewen regretted hearing such a gossip, and immediately speeded up his pace to go to the auditorium.

After the afternoon get out of class on the history of magic, Kewen left the professor a little eagerly and rushed to the practice room on the fourth floor of the central tower.

Not long after, Professor Flitwick, who was in charge of looking after him, arrived.

Kewen and Professor Flitwick exchanged greetings for a while, and then he couldn’t wait to start studying the problems accumulated during the holiday self-study, and asked Professor Flitwick for advice...
