Red Dead Redemption Dawn

Chapter 80: The past is like waves

Back at the manor, John picked up the fishing tackle and walked towards Quaker Bay. There are many fishing spots near Quaker Bay, but only a few are the best.

Every time John goes, he meets Koloff.

This time is no exception.

"John? You're here very late this time. You should be free. Is something wrong?" Kolov greeted John as usual and sat down beside him.

"Indeed, it's a bit annoying." John nodded to confirm, but it was impossible to say anything to Klov.

"Hehe, life is like this, it's impossible for everything to turn out as you wish." Kolov pretended to be very knowledgeable.

"Indeed, I've heard a similar sentence before, and I think it's very good to summarize life." John shook off the things in his mind and pretended to follow.

"Do you mind telling me?" Kolov asked with great cooperation and expectation.

It's really comfortable to chat with him, John thought.

"Of course, this sentence is 'Nine times out of ten things in life are unsatisfactory, but you can't tell anyone else.'" John said with a smile.

"Ah, the great man's statement is more appropriate, it is indeed a punchline." Kolov nodded and said after savoring it.

"He should be a great ideological scholar."

"There's another sentence after that." John pretended to be mysterious.

Kolov tilted his head and listened expectantly.

"But I have never met one or two blessings in my life."

"Well, he is indeed a thinker, or a miserable thinker. Can you tell me where he came from? I want to read his works." Kolov was silent for a long time, and asked earnestly after reading it a few times.

"Then you might be disappointed. He was successful and not miserable," John said.

"Who is he, and what masterpiece did he leave behind?" Kolov asked expectantly.

"No, he is a prime minister, a statesman, a thinker, a calligrapher, a historian, a poet or a knight." John shook his head and revealed the various identities and skills of this big man.

"But he is a Chinese," John said.

"Is it someone from that empire in the east? Actually, I know a little bit of Chinese characters. For example, I can write my name and some simple characters. I can still study hard." Kolov did not hide his talent.

"That won't work either." John still shook his head. How could you, a foreigner, understand ancient Chinese?

"His works were left over 600 years ago. You have to learn not only Chinese but also ancient Chinese. Trust me, you will go crazy." John persuaded seriously.

"Then how did you learn it?" Kolov looked at John strangely. People like you who are not good at fishing have learned so well, how could I not?

"Because my great-grandfather was Chinese, I have always understood it since I was a child." John proudly showed off his blood.

"No wonder, your appearance is delicate and soft that we white people don't have." Kolov looked carefully at John's appearance and nodded.

"At least you tell me the name of that great prime minister first." Kolov is really confident in his learning ability and talent.

"His name is Fang Xuanling, and his book is probably not to be found in the entire federation." John still persuaded Kolov, who was in high spirits, to give up the idea.

"And the last sentence was added later, not his original words. His original words are the first two sentences."

"The addition is also very good, and you can taste a lot of things. It's really interesting." Kolov nodded and then became silent, his expression flashing a bit of sadness from time to time.

"Koloff, are you alright?" John asked, looking at his friend whose mood was obviously down.

"I'm fine, I just remembered some past events." Kolov waved his hand and said that he was fine, but just remembered some old things.

"Well, Kolov, have you ever been married?" John asked while looking at Kolov.

"I've had a lot of women, but I didn't have a lot of feelings for them at the time. It was just a momentary pleasure. I don't know what they were like to me, but I didn't have feelings for them." Kolov I sighed with emotion for the wanderlust when I was young.

"Maybe one or two of these women have given birth to children for me, but I haven't bothered about their lives. I'm not a good man, and I don't have the responsibility that a father should have." There was no self-deprecation in his tone, nor did he No regrets just with a peace that John can feel.

"Why?" John asked curiously.

"Because my heart dissipated with the woman I loved the most when I was young." Kolov added at the end.

"Oh, my unborn son also disappeared with me." Kolov's tone at this time was frivolous and self-deprecating.

But John understood the weight of the question.

"I'm sorry to ask about this."

"It's okay, it's been decades, if I blame you for this fact, then I definitely don't think of you as a friend. I don't deserve to be your friend, so I won't talk about it with you. So, I I don't blame you, and I hope you don't have any guilt. Actually, I still really want to talk to you about this, I'm afraid I'll suddenly forget it." Instead, Kolov patted John comfortably. The shoulder signaled him not to feel guilty.

"Okay, so has the murderer caught it?" John continued to ask when he heard that Kolov really wanted to talk.

"Of course, I will definitely not let him go. He died miserably. As for how miserable, I will describe it to you next time." Karloff looked at John and smiled, then looked at the sunset not far away, ending on this sad topic.

"Well, it seems that Kolov has caught a fish." John watched the buoy sink, and quickly reminded Kolov who was admiring the sunset.

"Wow, he's still a big guy, haha." Korov said with great interest, pulling the fishing rod.

After that, Kolov caught a lot of fish, but John got very little. It was really strange. Obviously, the two of them were not far apart, so why didn't they catch the bait?

"John, I recently discovered that this place seemed to be bought by some rich man." Kolov said after releasing the fish in his hand again.

"Have you noticed those signs?" Kolov gestured to the sign that marked private territory in the distance.

"Don't worry about it, it's still a while before we develop this place. And even if it's private territory, we can come and fish at any time." John said with a glance.

"Hehe, maybe he doesn't care about the two of us who are only here to fish. He is afraid that he, like most rich people, sees us as intruders, which would be a pity." Kolov said with a smile.

"But sheriff, this status can make him shut up." John said again that he didn't need to worry about this issue.

"John, the sheriff is like a beggar in their eyes. If you're a robber, it's more useful." Kolov scorned John's identity.

"I am friends with him. I often go to his house for dinner. He is very kind and kind. I will go and tell him tomorrow that he can stop others from fishing." John boasted.

"I didn't know you guys knew each other, so don't mind me scolding your friend just now." Kolov nodded with a sudden realization.

"How is it possible, he is indeed a rich man." John suddenly remembered something, then turned to Kolov and said

"By the way, where do you live? I don't know the exact location yet. It's okay to go to your place for coffee or something when you have time."

"In a small house near the mouth of the Lower Montana River, the air is good, but the fishing position is not ideal, and the scenery is not as good here," Kolov said.

"Then I'll go hunting with you after I'm done with these recent things, will you?" John asked casually.

"Of course, I am a famous hunting master. You are welcome to come to me at any time." Kolov said with a smile.

"Actually me too, maybe we can have a match." John said confidently, he was still unwilling to experience the last fishing fiasco.

"I can send you a prey in advance." Kolov was still confident.

"No problem." John responded with a smile.

The two of them fished until six o'clock in the afternoon. Kolov still, as always, gave most of the harvest to John to take back to eat.

After parting, John returned to the manor with a bucket full of loot. Kane also came back. He stood at the gate and complained like John.

"Please, this is the fishing gear I bought, I haven't used it before. Wouldn't you buy it yourself?" Kane grabbed his belongings forcefully.

"It won't die if you use it once. Why are you so stingy? Are you as good as me in fishing? Look at my harvest." John shook the fish in his hand proudly~www.NovelMTL.com~ Then the servant came over and took it John's booty.

"What's so great, by the way, I heard you have something to do with me? What is it?" Kane and John walked into the manor after putting away the fishing gear. Kane asked as he walked.

"Major, come to my room after dinner. I have something important to help you with. But now I have to take a shower first." John asked about the fishy smell on his body.

"Oh." Kane nodded and walked out again.

"It's almost dinner, where are you going?" John looked at Kane and asked.

Kane just waved his hand but didn't respond.

As soon as he turned around, John saw Anna in new clothes running down, and then flew over to give John a hug.

John dodged sideways and dodged.

Anne staggered and was about to fall to the ground. John stretched his arms around her waist.

Then he pulled her back and made her stand up straight.

"Miss Anne, why are you attacking me when you have nothing to do?" John asked Annie to take a few steps back.

"Mr. John, thank you, I succeeded in the interview. It's a decent job dealing with documents, and it suits me very well. Thank you so much." Annie wanted to jump over excitedly.

John took a few steps back and made a forbidding gesture to stop her from continuing.

"That is indeed a very happy thing, congratulations. But I am going to take a bath now, and your pair is also stained with some fish scales and some fish blood. You suggest you wash it too." John He pointed to where he was holding her, and walked over to his room over Annie.

Annie blinked at John's back, then walked towards the other side of the stairs, and returned to her room after a while. The small steps are brisk, and it can be seen that she is really happy.
