Chapter 264: banquet invitation

Black Raven Church, Arthur is standing in front of two stone tablets.

His face was calm, but the priest standing behind Arthur knew that the man who called himself a robber had been standing for two hours.

He kept doing this all the time, not even changing his posture once.

After another ten minutes, Moyo looked up at the sky.

He took a deep breath, then turned and walked towards the priest.

He gave ten dollars to the priest, "Father, thank you for taking me in, I won't give too much, just treat it as my donation to the church."

"May the Lord bless you, sir." The priest did not refuse, but gave Arthur a blessing.

Immediately after, Arthur got on his horse and headed for the nearest station.

The two did not ask each other's names from beginning to end.

On the other side, in Heishui Town, the Skynet Security Office.

Inside John's office, he was processing some of the signing of the Detective Agency's documents.

Then Lambert brought him an invitation.

"John, I have your invitation."

John was a little confused, "Whose?" He asked while taking it.

"That gentleman's." Lambert said inexplicably.

John nodded, then he took out the amethyst pocket watch and looked at the time: 11.15 minutes.

The banquet is at six o'clock tonight at Edwin Manor.

There's still nearly seven hours of preparation time, um~ maybe later he should go buy a suit that fits well.

After reading it, he put away the invitation letter, "You?"

"Well, three copies in total, you, I, and Kane. I'll give the invitation to Kane later." Lambert nodded.

"Have you ever bought a decent dress? Would you like it?" John said with a smile.

"No, but I plan to visit with Eva later." Lambert directly declined John's invitation.

"Okay." John nodded understandingly and it was more reasonable to go with his wife.

Then Lambert smiled and turned to leave.

But halfway through, Lambert seemed to have remembered something and turned back to John and said, "Miss Orfina is back, I looked at it. I didn't assign her any tasks for two to three, four or five days. She should be here now. in her small office."

After saying that, Lambert left the room.

John thought for a moment when he heard this, so he quickly signed the pile of documents.

Then he walked out of his office and walked towards the small office that Lambert specially arranged for Ofina.

Through the glass, John saw Ofina biting a pen regardless of her age. She still looked like she couldn't tell her age.

'Boom dong dong' John knocked on the door.

"Come in." The voice was slightly neutral.

He got a response and pushed the door in.

"What~? It's you?" Ofina looked at John without much surprise.

Instead, tidy up some messy desktops.

"I haven't seen you in the manor these days." John said familiarly, pulling a chair and sitting beside her.

"I'm busy." She didn't object much to John's actions.

"You seem to have tanned a little, am I delusional?"

"Yes, in order to capture a fugitive in New Austin, the place is all desert." Ofina complained.

"Did you catch it in the end?" John looked at her with one hand on his cheek.

"Of course, I'm very suitable for this job." Ofina was very happy to say this.

"What about you? I heard that you went out to run errands a few weeks ago, have you done it?" Ofina asked, blinking her beautiful, medium-sized peach eyes.

"Well, it's almost." John briefly said about his itinerary.

"It's pretty exciting, so that's the way it is. That female detective went through a lot of pain." Ofina was more interested in Shady.

"So you finally avenged him, and she came back with you?"

John thought this statement was weird, so he said, "It's a hire, she's very talented as a detective, and she just needs a job, and I can offer it to her."

Ofina looked at him with some contempt and said, "It's a very familiar process."

At this time, John reacted, "What are you talking about? She has such a miserable life, what are you thinking?" John said slightly accusingly.

Ofina's eyes still had some contempt in her eyes, "I also know that others are a widow, you not only like exotic customs, but also this kind of hobby." After finishing speaking, the disdain on Orfina's face was even heavier.

"What are you kidding again? I've never touched those little girls. Is it really okay for you to frame me like this?" John felt very wronged.

"I think they are quite afraid of you, who knows if you touch it?" Ofina said indifferently.

John looked at Ofina, who was a little unreasonable, and pouted. Then, instead of tangling on this issue, he talked about the purpose of coming to her.

"I have an invitation to a party tonight, and now I want to go out and buy a suitable dress, you should go with me."

"Is it a mission?" Ofina asked.

"Private invitation." John answered clearly.

"Where's Anna? Doesn't she have better eyesight?" Ofina said.

"She~ I like your style better." John wanted to say that Anna was very busy these days, so she didn't have much time to accompany him. But after thinking about it, he changed his words, and his tone was firm.

Ofina glanced at John when she heard it, then looked at John again after thinking for a while.

"It's just lunch time, let's take a look by the way." After saying that, Ofina got up, and then moved the cowboy hat beside her with one hand and put it on her head.

"Let's go." After saying that, he walked out first.

"Yes, my queen." John said in a submissive tone behind him.

"Your horse?" Ofina asked, looking at the radish coming out of the back.

"Do you like it?" John asked.

"I don't like it very much. It's too short. I still like my 'movement'." She pulled out her pure blood.

This is a tall and mighty tiger-striped thoroughbred mare with black hooves.

Not to mention, the Thoroughbred horse looks twice as tall as the radish, and even if the radish looks good, it becomes slightly inferior in front of it.

John looked at it a few times, and then said a little sourly, "It's really good-looking." The name is also nice.

"After handing in the task yesterday, I went to buy it." Ofina was very proud.

"It should be expensive, where did you get so much money?"

"I went and asked Lambert if he could get some money in advance to buy a horse. He said no problem, and then gave me a check from Kenny for a thousand dollars." Ofina said nothing. said the demo.

"Isn't there a lot of money in the detective agency's books?" John was a little strange.

"How do I know, you go and ask Lambert." Ofina asked three questions and didn't know the answer.

"Forget it." He did it.

John looked down at his radish, which was about the size of a mule, and suddenly felt that this guy was not that easy to chop.

Noticing the slightest bit of disgust in his master's eyes, Carrot turned his head to look at John, then grinned at the Thoroughbred horse beside him, and spat at the opposite.

"Ha~ This guy seems a little strange." Ofina said with a funny face.

"That's the advantage." John shrugged. "Let's go, let's go to the most expensive street nearby."

As he spoke, he and Ofina walked in that direction.

That is more than 20 minutes, the two tied their horses on the side of the road and walked into the largest and most fashionable clothes shop.

There was a tailor in the shop, and there were two waiters, a man and a woman.

Seeing John and Ofina walking in together, the two young waiters lit up.

The clothes John was wearing were not cheap. They could even tell that they were all made-to-order clothes, and the fabrics were expensive. The only cheap thing was the outermost dirt-resistant coat.

So the two immediately stepped forward to ask

"Excuse me to this handsome gentleman."

"This lady like an angel."

"What can we do for you two?"

"I'm going to a banquet tonight, do you have ready-to-wear for this?" John said ~www.NovelMTL.com~ Of course. "The eyes of the two were bright, and they answered very politely. At the same time, a thought 'big business' came to mind.

Twenty minutes later, John and Ofina came out of the store, and their clothes were picked out, and they would be delivered to the manor by three in the afternoon.

The price is indeed expensive. Two suitable banquet dresses cost him more than seven hundred dollars.

Opposite this clothing store is a jewelry store, which looks quite large.

John glanced at the delicate woman beside her. She didn't have any ornaments on her face, but she was still very beautiful.

So John said to her, "Come and see with me."

Then walk towards the opposite side.

Ofina was a little displeased with John's unquestionable tone, but thinking that he was the big boss of her own family, she tolerated John's minor ailments.

She followed John without saying a word.

After more than twenty minutes, John lost another three hundred dollars and bought a new emerald necklace for the woman beside him.

Although Ofina said that it would be better to give her money and let her buy two custom-made guns, the clerk next to her could see the joy in her eyes when she got the necklace.

On his way out of the jewelry store, John asked Ofina to wait for him, and then he turned back.

Ofina stood there and looked at John's figure, and she probably guessed why John went back. 1

After that, the two went to have lunch, and then walked and chatted on the streets of Heishui Town for about an hour.

The two then rode back to the manor.

Take a shower and prepare for tonight's banquet invitation.
