Rebuild World

50 Exploring the Underground

Elena and the others will lead Akira in exploring the underground.

Akira was adjusting the overall travel speed to remain unchanged from when Shikarabe was in the lead. That's a speed that is completely beyond Akira's enemy capability.

For that reason Akira had left the perimeter alert entirely to Alpha. Akira is only pointing the gun's aimer, already linked to the information terminal, to the extent that it follows Alpha's instructions to the underground corridor.

Although Akira's field of view shows an expanded view of the aimer, Akira wasn't looking for the monster by looking at the footage. Alpha carries out analysis of video information and the like obtained by the aimer.

From the side (for), Akira also appears to be progressing with no enemies at all. Elena and the others can't help but worry about it because, in addition to Elena also implementing the enemy, Akira answered Sikarabe's question firmly.

Even if there were a deficiency in Akira's ability, it wouldn't be a fatal situation. Elena and the others were all making that decision and putting Akira in the lead.

Alpha gives Akira instructions.

"Akira, there are three Yarata sasoris at the end of the aisle. Knock it down before you know it."

Akira's vision is augmented by Alpha. The figure of Yarata Sasori clearly emerges at the end of the dark passage of the underground. Shields that can block radiation, such as rubble from passageways, are also highlighted so that Akira can recognize them easily.

The distance to Yarata Sasori and the others is a little far. Akira doesn't have the confidence to hit him on her own, but with Alpha's support, it's a perfectly fine distance. And the fact that Alpha gave instructions on this occasion is probably best defeated at this distance. Akira decided so.

Copy that.

Akira sets up an AAH assault gun for Yarata Sasori. I calmly pulled the trigger, aligning the ballistic prediction line shown in the field of vision with the head of the Yarata sasori.

The fired heavy ammunition benefited fully from Alpha's hit correction to hit the landing predicted position without madness. Yarata Sasori was desperate after being destroyed in the head.

The Yarata sasoris rush out in response to the death of their companions. Akira continues into Yarata Sasori, where she shows movement in search of the enemy, slapping (just) a heavy loaded bullet. A heavy loaded bullet breaks through the hard shell of Yarata Sasori, blunting the enemy's movements.

Akira releases a stop bullet at the deadly dull Yarata sasoris. Yarata sasori movement, which was showing similar movements to cramps (convulsions), stopped completely.

Akira lowers her gun and exhales.

"I could take it down properly. Is this the power of heavy loading? It's not usually bullets. '

Akira remembered the sight of a flock of Yarata sasoris approaching as they usually bounced back their bullets. For this reason, I was a little anxious to be able to knock them out without using a CWH objective assault gun. But this won't be a problem. Akira was relieved.

Alpha smiles.

"If it's about Yarata Sasori, I don't see any problem with heavy loading. Now let's move on."

"Okay."

Alpha confirmed that Akira's anxiety had been removed from Akira's condition. This will relieve Akira's tension a lot. It should also prevent excessive fatigue caused by excessive tension. That's what Alpha decided.

Sarah basically leaves her enemies to Elena. Because Elena's information-gathering equipment performs at a different level from what Sarah is equipped with. By sending Sarah the information Elena collected if anything happened, Sarah knew exactly what the enemy was.

No information has been sent to Sarah about the Yarata sasori that Akira destroyed. Sarah asks Elena.

"Elena. Can you send me that information?

"Okay."

Elena sends Sarah more information forward. Information collected by Elena's information-gathering equipment is added to Sarah's vision.

"Thanks.... I see it. That's it. There are three Yarata sasoris, and they've been destroyed. That's pretty good."

Sarah raised a gentle exclamation when she saw the destroyed Yarata sasori.

Shikarabe also grasps the Yarata sasori that Akira defeated with his own intelligence-gathering equipment.

"Did you need to keep that distance foe down? I would pack a little more distance before judging..."

Elena answers Shikarabe's question.

"Main road to the subject. There is some debris in the passage that acts as a shield. The subject is in our direction. It's not a mistake to take them down when you can, before they come near you hiding behind a shield. You can attract more and then take them down, but judgment around here is personal."

"Well, there is certainly a personal difference in the management of our interactions with our enemies. I didn't take it off. Is there a problem?"

Defeated the enemy a little early with a good chance of engaging. I didn't bother attacking monsters who were likely to avoid engaging to increase unnecessary combat. Sikarabe decided so and stopped caring any more.

Elena's judgment is roughly the same as Shikarabe's, but Elena had a point about not falling into the (f). How Akira discovered Yarata Sasori. That's one thing.

The information-gathering equipment used by Akira was previously sold by Elena to Akira. Elena has a pretty accurate idea of the performance of that information-gathering device.

Elena thinks. Can I perceive Yarata Sasori at that distance with that information-gathering device? I can't. Elena answered herself that instantly.

(It should be extremely difficult to detect that distance of Yarata sasori with the information-gathering equipment I sold. With an information-gathering device that only has that degree of performance, if it's open wilderness on the ground, it's hard for me to detect a raven in the dark in this basement full of factors that inhibit information-gathering. How the hell...)

How Akira sensed Yarata Sasori. Elena had an idea for once.

(Akira is probably an old realm connector. Perhaps it's one of those abilities. I'm interested in how Akira foes, but if she really is, can't I ask a bad question)

I don't ask Akira anything extra. Elena has promised Akira that. Elena also took a strong interest in better enemy technology as an enemy of the team, but that's not enough to defeat her promise to the benefactor of her life.

And more than that, the moment Elena asks Akira if Akira's high enemy capability is due to the abilities of the old realm connectors, there is no denying that Akira and I could be killed.

Akira may also be aware that Akira is really an old realm connector and Elena and Sarah have noticed that thinly. If Elena or Sarah spoke of something extra on top of that, her relationship with Akira would be fatally worse.

Sarah is not as familiar with information-gathering equipment as Elena. Shikarabe just decides Akira is using a high-performance information-gathering device. You won't have a problem if you keep your mouth shut. Elena decided so and put a lid on the interest that arose.

Akira and the others will continue their exploration of the underground with Akira at the forefront.

I ran into monsters there frequently, all the things Akira could handle without a problem. At least it was avoided that Elena and the others would be wrapped around their feet. Akira was able to handle monsters without any problems, although she had been forced to engage at considerable close range because of the rubble in the underground structure and aisle.

Akira and the others move on through the dark underground. The ruins of advanced civilization and the shadows of advanced technology that sleep there, the remains of former glory, are consumed by the darkness of the underground. Only a few moments before Akira and the others are illuminating the scene can we see the remains of glory in the ruins of the Old World.

So Akira found a place that looked like the store was abandoned. When Akira looked lightly into the store for her enemies, there were still tons of relics from the old world left there. Akira is surprised to find out about it.

"Whoa! There are so many relics of the old world left. Awesome."

How much will it be if I take home this artifact? When Akira thinks so unexpectedly, she stabs Akira with a nail (giggle) as Sarah smiles bitterly.

"I know how you feel, but you can't take it home. The artifact found during the request is a contract with ownership in the city of Kugamayama. I know exactly how you feel. I know exactly how you feel, but don't put your hands on it."

How good it would have been if I wasn't in the middle of a request right now. Sarah had endured the whispers of the devil with her inner expression. To stop Akira and herself, Sarah denies the Devil's whispering.

"You don't think I'll find out if it's a little bit. Wouldn't we find it if we let it get into the spare ammunition? Don't even think about it. I can't. No, I can't."

Sarah was telling Akira so much more strongly to herself.

Continue with Elena smiling bitterly.

"Exactly. Akira. I didn't do a physical exam or anything for everyone, but when I try to take it home on my own, there's a part of me that's really going to behave, and I'm mostly going to find it. If they find it, they'll confiscate the artifact and pay a penalty that can ruin your life about three times. So be patient."

Elena told Akira that in a slightly embarrassing tone.

Akira is not going to be a deaf child either. Reply honestly.

"Okay."

I can't feel dissatisfaction or dissatisfaction from Akira's reply. I wouldn't think of sneaking this home later, etc. Sarah and Elena thought so and smiled safely.

Shikarabe continues.

"I don't know how much money a city can make (anymore) with this artifact, but the city has also decided that it can make (already) money, so they're spending a lot of money building front-line bases, paving the way with rubble, and hiring a lot of hunters to get rid of monsters. You're paying us for that money (already), so hit those who are unhappy with it. Well, if you don't like it, I'm just talking about finding this place on my own and getting here. I don't even know if it's profitable. If it's profitable, he's a first-rate hunter."

Akira thought about whether she could make it this far on her own. In an instant I came to a conclusion. I can't.

'You can't do this to me. I mean, it's not something I can get. "

Alpha talks with a slightly provocative laugh.

'I'll have Akira be able to do that any day. It's okay. I'll support you, too, so we're not that far ahead of you.'

'Right. Then let's clear the immediate request safely for the day first. Give me your full support so I can survive until that day.'

"Leave it to me."

Hearing Alpha's comforting reply, Akira turned away from the massive ordeal that would have befallen her by that day. If we don't survive today first, we won't be able to get there.

Reminds me that Shikarabe is looking at relics of the dusty old world.

"... oh yeah. I guess so. Can you even think about that?"

Shikarabe, who remembers something and is convinced by herself, notices Akira and the others' gaze. I have trouble being mistaken for calculating the return of the artifact, so I talk a little hastily to misdemonize (sesame seeds).

"... No, you're not, are you? Just a reminder. There were rumors (rumors) a while ago that a child had brought a pricey artifact into a hunter's office store. So rumors spread that there was an unexploited area in the outer periphery of the Kuzhara Street site, and quite a few hunters went out to look for it. Don't you know? Hmm?"

The look on the faces of Akira and the others who heard about Shikarabe changes. It's a look that reminds me of an undesirable event.

When Sarah and Elena heard the rumor, they went to the ruins of Kuzsuhara Street and almost died after being attacked by bandits. Akira was almost killed when she was dressed in the ruins. Akira and the others remembered it and gave it a little expression.

Shikarabe asks a little strangely when she realizes the look on Elena's face.

"What's wrong?

Elena urges Shikarabe to follow.

"Never mind. So?"

"Oh, that's why I thought the kid might have found it somewhere in this basement. Locally, this is the basement of the outer perimeter, right? There's an entrance somewhere, didn't you find what was left of it? The child didn't have to die because there were still very few individuals on the ground because of the low number of Yarata sawdust. What do you say? That sounds like an impossible story."

Akira looks strange knowing the story is wrong. I'm not willing to argue badly and blur out.

Elena answers with a little thought.

"Well, that's a possibility.... If you look for other entrances and exits, you don't think you can take the artifact out without finding out, do you? I'll tell you what, I'm not gonna cooperate."

Elena stabbed Shikarabe with a nail. Elena creates a view of the underground from the collected terrain data. If you compare it to that basement map on the ground, Elena is likely to be able to find other entrances and exits.

"I know. I'm also not willing to imitate the kind of foolishness that sells fights to cities. I'm just saying that a few questions might have been resolved. Relax. That's not even a grumpy topic, is it?

Elena tells Shikarabe why she's upset.

"Never mind. We're just hunters swept by rumors."

Sikarabe is convinced to hear why Sarah and Elena are upset.

"That was bad. And Akira?

"It's similar."

Ning (Munchkin) Akira is on the swinging side, but the hunter is attacked by the hunter in the absence of any busy gear, or when he returns to the city, he is attacked by a hunter collapse for relics. It's the same rumor that annoyed me.

Sikarabe acknowledges Sarah and Elena's strength. If there were rumors around the ruins of Kuzsuhara Street, Elena and the others wouldn't struggle. That's why I was a little concerned about something that upset Elena and the others.

"I didn't expect to be that grumpy. Was it something that bad? Did you throw away a job that was going to make a lot of money and go looking for rumoured artifacts and end up feeling like you lost something?

After Sarah thinks a little, she laughs and answers.

"Mm-hmm. A lot's happened, but the final profit and loss has been positive, we've had good encounters, we've had good experiences, we've had a good cut at reviewing our immaturity and stuff. Outcome theory, but good to go, I think so. Including what I can say now. And Elena?"

Elena smiles, too.

"... right. I wonder if it turned out good. Let's do that. It's better mentally. Good to go. So do I."

Sarah continues laughing happily.

"Right? And since then, we've had a lot of good luck."

"... if you ask me. Is it after all the good stuff that I started to do?

Elena and Sarah remembered those days. It was a time of economic circumstances, emotional circumstances, and a lot of problems. Now that I think about it, the better cut is that Elena and Sarah were helped by Akira.

That was the bottom of Elena's fortune that day, and Elena and the others have been doing much better (well) since Akira helped them through that worst situation.

Sikarabe looked at Sarah and Elena in a sudden mood. Shikarabe asks Akira.

"... What about Akira?

"Right. Well, it's a theory of results, but in the end it was a good thing."

If Akira hadn't helped Sarah and Elena then, Akira would have been killed by a herd of monsters along with the snails. Whatever the motive, Akira's actions at that time took advantage of Akira's future.

In contrast to Elena and Sarah, who are in a better mood, and Akira, who are back in a better mood, Shikarabe is in a worse mood this time.

"What, I mean, I'm the only one who makes money (already) after all for a broken bone? That's when Drancam joined us in the search for artifacts. Train young hunters together. I was borrowed out by the pull rate too..., those idiots moved around on their own..., how hard I struggled to follow..., I got angry when I remembered. I'm done with this story. Let's move on. We'll hit all the monsters. Akira, take turns. I'll take the lead again."

Once again, take the lead in Sicarabe. The line goes underground. Monster raids took place on a regular basis, and Sikarabe was able to clear up her depression in full.

Akira and the others, who continue to explore the underground, had encountered Yarata Sasori several times.

Hit (just) a heavy loaded bullet into Yarata Sasori, where Akira is about five meters away. Yarata Sasori dies at close range with a heavy bullet to the head. The heavily loaded bullet that is then released breaks through the robust shell of Yarata Sasori, inflicting fatal injuries and rendering him incapacitated.

The flock of Yaratasori was annihilated without time to escape. It was about thirty flocks, but Akira and the others won at their leisure. Everyone has not suffered a single scratch. But I couldn't afford to look.

Talk by kicking the whole corpse of Yarata sasori scattered around.

"You're getting bigger and bigger in the herd. There is no sign of ever decreasing when you defeat this much. Is it even nearby in a massive nest?

Elena conceives. If you really have a massive nest, you should leave the annihilation of the nest to the crusading team. Elena and the others are already quite far from the simplified base. I can't even get in touch with a simple base from here, so I can't even call for backup in the unlikely event.

Elena decides to return and gives Akira and the others instructions.

"Let's go back once. The data collected from the underground area has also been quite accumulated. The minimum elapsed time is close, and it fits."

Akira and the others began moving towards Defense Point 19, which is also a simple base as it is. We will rely on the maps of the underground streets that Elena has built through the dark underground.

Akira and the others were able to move on without anything. At least that's what Akira thought. But suddenly Elena stops and tilts her neck.

"... weird"

Elena's words had a somewhat disturbing atmosphere. Akira asks Elena when she realizes it.

"Is something wrong?

"The passage is blocked by rubble." to the rubble that wasn't there when we got here. "

Elena is progressing while obtaining extensive terrain information with information-gathering equipment. It is also possible to retrieve information on places where there is a distance, which is also used by opponents.

Newly acquired terrain information from information-gathering equipment indicated that the passage Elena and the others were about to proceed was blocked by a large amount of something. Elena decided it was rubble or dirt.

Sikarabe talks speculation.

"Other exploration teams may have engaged in brittle locations and used explosives. It shouldn't be such a brittle ruin, but some places Yarata Sasori drilled holes in the walls. Some may be brittle"

Sarah asks Elena in a little panic.

"Elena. There's a detour, right?

I'm sorry if the road back to the base is blocked and we'll wander around the basement looking for an exit. Elena affirms Sarah's question. But it's not the answer that makes Sarah's anxiety go away.

"That's okay. There are several other detours. It's just that I've been around three times already."

The look on Elena's face makes the other three all at once. It's a number of times I can't clean it up by chance already.

Sikarabe talks calmly.

"Was there a massive battle on the ground, or on the upper level of the underground, and the brittle part collapsed all at once? You don't want to bury me alive? You were right to try to get home early. If you're looking for a new detour, you have to find it while your health and ammunition are still there."

Everyone here understands that it is very dangerous to panic senselessly. Stay calm. Elena talks.

"Right. Let's go. Another detour will take you a little farther, but let's calm down and head back."

Elena and the others will attempt to resume the journey. When Akira also tries to follow Elena and the others, Alpha stops Akira.

"Akira. Stop Elena and the others and encourage them to travel on the shortest route."

'Needless to say, you would be doing that, wouldn't you?

"That's not what I'm talking about."

Alpha adds an explanation to Akira, who has a strange look. That explanation contained many assumptions, but if that were true, the situation would be considerably worse if measures were not taken earlier. The look on Akira's face made it all the rage at once.

Akira calls Elena to rest with a harsh look.

"Mr. Elena. Can I have a word with you?

Elena sees Akira's serious expression to heighten her vigilance. It is not vigilance against Akira. This is an alert to the current situation.

"Akira. What's wrong?

"I'd like to examine the debris blocking the shortest route from here to Defense Point 19. It's rubble that wasn't there when we got here. Hurry up as fast as you can. Can't you?

Because Alpha taught me that, and so on, Akira cannot explain to Elena. Akira asked Elena, skipping all the reasons to do so, worried about what she would do if Elena asked her why.

Elena stares at Akira. Look deeply into Akira's eyes as she searches for the sincerity of Akira's statement. Elena made a decision.

"Fine. Let's go. Quite a hurry, isn't it? Maybe as long as Akira doesn't have time to ask me why I would do that."

"Yes."

"This way."

That's all Elena said and ran out. Akira and Sarah immediately follow it and Shikarabe follows a little late.

Akira and the others run underground at considerable speeds with Elena's lead. As soon as you hurry, your opponents will be neglected, increasing the risk of being ambushed by monsters. In some cases, it could lead to fatal situations. Having understood that, Elena hurried ahead.

Speaks with alarm at the rear as Shikarabe is astonished by Akira's suggestion, and at Elena's decision to accept Akira's suggestion without even asking her why.

"Hey, I don't know why, but tell me why!

Elena crushes Sikarabe's natural doubts and demands.

"Later. Promise me you'll follow the leader's instructions? If you don't want to, you can stay."

"... I'll let you hear it later!

Sikarabe continued to run silently after saying so with her tongue pounding.

Akira and the others quickly arrived in the aisle of interest, thanks to the rush to lighten the enemy. A short distance from the debris blocking the passage stopped Akira, who was already ahead of Elena. When they saw it, Elena and the others stopped.

Alpha gives Akira instructions with a slightly harsh look.

"Akira. Switch to CWH Object Assault Gun. I'll be thanking my client very much today for the benefit of having ammunition. '

Akira also gets a harsh look.

"In the middle of a hunch?

"That's the thing."

Akira switches the gun from an AAH assault gun to a CWH objective assault gun. Then he set up a gun toward the rubble blocking the passage.

Elena asks Akira.

"Akira. What are you going to do?

"It's not rubble!

I pulled the trigger at the same time that Akira answered that.

A dedicated bullet from a fired CWH objective assault gun strikes directly at something blocking the passage. Yarata sasori, crushed and blown up by the impact of the landing, turned into massive pieces of flesh, splashed in the aisle.
