One Guard

Chapter 47: : Butler's trump card

Mike Krzyzewski looked at the players in front of him with satisfaction. These guys who have been playing on their hands for two to three years know what to do to win. Their perfect operation allowed Duke to easily get a very lead. It seems that the so-called biggest dark horse is nothing more than that.

Of course, the experienced coach K is not the kind of coach who is easy to underestimate the enemy. If he is the kind of person who is easy to be proud, he cannot become one of the greatest names in NCAA history.

Old K knows that the ace of the Bulldogs is Yiyang. As for their trump card, they didn't play much in the first half due to the number of fouls. After this timeout, Stevens will definitely bring the No. 1 guard up. Duke must be fully prepared. This guy who can bring the Bulldogs into the championship in just one year is definitely not a general!

"After going on the court later, continue to foul the opponent's No. 1 guard! He has already fouled twice. As long as he fouls one or two more times, Coach Stevens will have to replace him. Just like you guys. Just like what I just did, limit his hands and feet with fouls!" Coach K looked at Stevens, who was nervously laying out tactics in the other half, and explained to his players.

He doesn't have to worry about the tactical execution ability of his players, as long as the old K said, this group of guys can do it. What else can limit a player more than simply preventing him from playing? What Old K has to do now is to let Yiyang have no room to exert his strength!

The timeout finally ended. The Bulldogs fans who were waiting anxiously saw Yiyang put on the battlefield again, and they all cheered their cheers and cheered for the heroic No. 1 defender.

After returning to the field for the first goal, Yiyang faced Nolan Smith, who could not keep up with him at all, and called Willie Wesley's pick and roll to make a breakthrough.

Duke's starting power forward Lance Thomas wanted to learn from Zubek's position and repeat the same tricks, so Yiyang tempted him to make an offensive foul.

This time, Yiyang has an extra heart. When he wiped Nolan Smith, he didn't sprint with all his strength, but paused!

This slammed the brakes, allowing Yiyang to adjust his direction, and then bypassed Lance Thomas's block!

Although there was a pause in the middle of the journey, after accelerating again, Yiyang still no one could catch up. This guy plunged into the penalty area like a sharp sword. In the penalty area, Duke's "blocking maniac" Brian Zubek was ready to defend. Although Yiyang broke through, it was never so easy for him to get points.

Yiyang saw that Zubek took two steps forward to block himself. He didn't hesitate, and immediately threw the ball to the basket.

Zubek took off with all his strength and stretched out his long arm, but the basketball still flew into the penalty area with Zubek's fingertips.

"Throwing shots? We played in the March Madness Championship for a season, but we rarely saw and used tossing offenses." Reggie Miller was a little confused. Tossing shots and three-point shots were the least used by Yiyang. The two offensive methods.

Not only Reggie Miller, but Stevens frowned. Yiyang's shooting percentage has not been ideal. At this critical moment, how could Yiyang use such an insecure method to attack?

When the Bulldogs backup center Smith jumped high from behind Zubek and grabbed the basketball and put it into the basket, all the talents suddenly realized. Yiyang, this guy, never does things that are uncertain!

"Aerial relay! Also used his own breakthrough to open Zubek after passing a good shot for his inside player. The latter succeeded in dunking in the air without being marked! As soon as Yiyang came back, he took the Bulldogs. The team’s offense has been completely revitalized!"

Old K shook his head rascally. The child's vision and overall outlook are too far from his age. But it doesn't matter, Duke still sits on an eight-point advantage, and they have enough time to let Yiyang fall into the mud again.

Nolan Smith, based on the principle of continuing to commit fouls, increased his initiative in singles. This time, he directly relied on Yiyang to break through after receiving Sheyer's pass, intending to force a layup again to commit a foul.

But what Nolan Smith did not expect was that Yiyang, who had already fouled twice, actually dared to reach out for the ball during his breakthrough!

Smith leaned on Yiyang quickly, hoping to create the illusion of being violated. But before he did so, Yiyang managed to stabbed the basketball in his hand!

After lost the ball, Nolan Smith quickly turned around! But Yiyang swooped directly and fell to the ground and pressed the basketball firmly under him.

See Shervin Mark began to run forward, and Yiyang, who was lying on the ground, passed the ball directly. No one thought that this guard could pass the ball while lying on the ground, so when Shelvin Mark received the basketball, the Bulldogs captain was empty in front of him!

Mark did not dare to slack off and rushed directly. Yiyang used his own efforts to create a fast break opportunity for the Bulldogs. Shelvin Mark made an easy layup and Yiyang's flutter was worthwhile.

"Nolan! I didn't ask you to score points for the opponent!" After seeing Yiyang on the field, the Bulldogs scored four points in a row. Coach K was a little unhappy.

Duke attacked again, and Nolan Smith was still attacking with the goal of fouling Yiyang on his back. This time, he calmed down a little bit, instead of directly working with Yiyang alone, but combining the strength of his teammates to make it easier for him to get to the basket.

He first conducted a few handballs, then moved to the middle distance by running position, and finally hit the basketball so that he could easily break through.

Yiyang knew that he had fouled twice, but he couldn't just watch the opponent make a layup. Yiyang still decided to jump high and stop Nolan Smith's layup.

"Damn it!" Stevens held his forehead. If the ball really hits, the referee will blow the whistle in all likelihood! If Yiyang fouls again, Stevens is really powerless!

"Ah!" Just at the very moment, Willie Wesley, a strong and fierce power forward, suddenly appeared, before Yiyang, and flew Nolan Smith with the ball to the fan to fly out of the baseline!

"Wow! Fierce defense! I believe that with Willie's defense, Duke's players will not dare to hit the basket so easily!" Reggie Miller couldn't help but touch his double. Elbow, Nolan Smith fell hard enough this time.

"This is a malicious foul!" This time, it was K's turn to yell at the referee.

The referee ignored the old coach K. Even if he made a wrong judgment, it is impossible for him to change his judgment at this moment. Originally, Nolan Smith was not very good in physical fitness. After he got to the free throw line, Nolan Smith seemed to have not recovered.

Willie Wesley raised his arm and did not escape the punishment of being called a foul. His own purpose is to take the next foul for Yiyang.

Nolan Smith, who was hit hard, just hit the box for the first free throw. According to NCAA rules, after the first missed free throw, players can start fighting for rebounds, and the free throw side will not get a second free throw opportunity.

The reason why NCAA does this is that they don’t want college players to deliberately find fouls. The effect of this rule happened to be well reflected in Nolan Smith at this moment.

Yiyang took the basketball from Willie Wesley, who grabbed the rebound, and then changed the rhythm of his unhurried ball control before, and he ran directly to the frontcourt!

"Pay attention to the defense! Pay attention to the defense!" Krzyzewski reminded the players who were not fully seated on the sidelines, and in the blink of an eye, Yiyang had already reached Nolan Smith with the ball.

"Whoo!" Yiyang used a quick change of direction to make Nolan Smith, who hadn't realized what had happened, had a clean life! After Yiyang rushed to the basket, he lifted the basketball as if he was going to make a layup!

Brian Zubek, the "cap madman" leaped high, ready to give this number one some color! But when the white center took off, he realized that he was fooled!

Yiyang did not take off, but suddenly stopped and retracted the basketball he held up, turned around in place, avoided the already jumped Zubek, and easily scored the basket!

"Is this a dream dance step!? His action reminds me of Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo! Very wonderful goal, spectators, since he also played, the Bulldogs have already Six points in a row!” It was not until Webber reminded that many fans were surprised to find that they had been pulled to a double-digit gap, but now there are only four points left!

After an attack, some Sheyer who was too anxious to score a three-pointer rushed out of the box. Sheyer is good at everything, but always a little hastily. As long as the team doesn't score for several consecutive rounds, this guy will always shoot singles.

Yiyang had not passed halftime this time, he made a long pass and the basketball crossed a diagonal line. At the bottom left corner, Shelvin Mark was ready!

Duke’s defensive focus immediately tilted, and Shelvin Mark became the key target of all defensive players.

When Mark received the basketball, the space he ran out was gone. But the original owner of this number one jersey didn't insist on shooting, but passed the basketball out of the crowd!

This time, the basketball was not passed to others~www.novelmtl.com~ but it was given to Yiyang who was outside the three-point line.

Coach K has studied Yiyang for a long time. This guy rarely shoots from the three-point line because his shooting from the three-point line is not stable.

Now, facing a big vacancy, Yiyang did not hesitate, just pull it up and cast it!

In fact, after a season of hard training, the NCAA's three-point line is not far from Yiyang. It's just because of so many years of playing habits that Yiyang doesn't choose to use three-pointers to end the offense.

Yiyang's decisive shot made Old K a bit surprised. He didn't know that in private, this kind of ball has been cast thousands of times!

Yiyang's shots are no longer as blunt as before, and basketball is no longer a "hard" smashing to the basket. The soft shots, combined with the graceful arc of the basketball, made the old coach K sweat out of the field in a cold sweat.

"Swipe!" The tumbling sound of the Nets sounded.

"Boom!" The fans in the stands exploded again.

"Damn it!" The old coach K dropped the plastic tactical board in his hand in anger. Yiyang's strength still greatly exceeded the old K's expectations! Those idiots actually ranked such a guy only 15th in the first round! If Old K was a scout, he would definitely write this in the scout report.

"John Wall will undoubtedly be the champion, but except for John Wall, if you choose Yiyang, it is equivalent to choosing a champion."

Yiyang's three-pointer completely ended the first half of both sides. Under his leadership, the Bulldogs, which was 10 points behind, chased the score by just one point behind with a 9-0 offensive climax!

With "leading advantage", the old coach K walked towards the player channel with a dull expression. Butler's trump card is even more troublesome than the old K originally imagined!
