Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha

Episode Six: Corpse Eating Ghost Peek

I felt uncomfortable with my body that day, when I defeated the fifth slime.

It was me who fought the demons of the labyrinth many times since then, but about the slime, he apparently didn't just say that he was lucky enough to defeat it with one blow, and then he was able to defeat all of the individuals he came across with one blow.

He's got a lot more strength than he did when he was alive.

I never got the feeling that my strength had increased no matter how much I trained when I was a bronze lower adventurer, and it wasn't actually as if my strength had increased, but I don't know if I should be happy or sorry that this would happen after I died.

Well, still, I'm pretty sure it's a lot better than not being strong.

I'm not sure if I can be strong at this rate in the future or if it will stop somewhere, but for now I tried my best and I kept fighting.

Then, when I defeated more than a dozen demons, I learned something different about my body.

It was not something unpleasant, but rather a strange feeling that something gushed out of the depths of my body.

That said, even if something went wrong, I would have trouble, so for once, I tried to fight back, but the effort ended in vain.

And there was a noise in his body, and he was covered in a burning light.

- One, what's going on?

That's what I thought. In the meantime, all of a sudden, dead meat appeared to cover my body, around my white bones.

It envelops my bones to hide that white color.

That's it, I got a hunch.

Isn't this the one in the memorial?

- Existential evolution.

Isn't that what's about to happen now?

I thought so.

In fact, the phenomenon lasted a while and spread all over my body.

The flesh wraps the arms, and the feet and body wrap the same way.

There's meat in my body that's been just bones...!

And after a while the phenomenon stopped.

Again, I observe my body.

Sure, there was meat on there.

Never before, the meat.

But I was under the impression that there was not beautiful skin, like when I was human, but something terribly withered, muscled meat stuck together.

I'm not sure because my whole body is, my face, and I don't have a mirror, but I still largely imagined it.

In the first place, I knew better about this kind of skin type or the existence of dead meat on the bone that just snagged

- Ghoul, the corpse eater.

That's exactly what I was looking to evolve into.

You can generally imagine the appearance of the corpse-eating ghost Ghoul, which I remember, peeling all of his skin from the human body and, to some extent, feeling like he had dried it well after tearing the meat under his skin.

In other words, it was an immortal demon of the atmosphere of a very creepy… yes, dry corpse,.

It is clear that there will be no such thing in this world that I want to like.

but it seemed like quite a step forward for me compared to before.

Anyway, I have meat on my body.

And I could experience the demonic existential evolution in this body, and that's because I mean, there's also a possibility that if we keep working hard, we could be more superior.

Immortal demons, the more superior they become, the closer their appearance approaches humans.

If you can also be the superior being of the corpse eater Ghoul, the vampire Vampire, you can no longer distinguish yourself from humans on the look of it.

That should be enough for me to be able to operate around the city without any problems.

As it is now, I don't know because it's so much that if you hide it with something, you could possibly get it inside the city, and you could do whatever you want.

Well, I knew the gatekeepers, and if I did well, I might be able to get in and out normally...

Oh, yeah.

Even though it's dead, I got a body of meat.

When this happens, something comes up that I want to try.

"- Vuuuuuuuuuuuu..."

I'll put some effort into my throat and see if I can get a voice.

Apparently, sounds are coming out.

"Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon, Kon..."

……

Hmm.

I wonder.

I speak for once, but I can't speak fluently.

Seemed to require practice.

That said, it was nothing like the Skeleton era, a boner who could not talk about anything.

If this happens, even if people come into the labyrinth, I think I can manage to communicate.

Well, I'm talking about the assumption that if he's not scared to talk to me like this...

Thinking about that,

- Gin!

And, from afar, I heard someone fighting demons.

It's the sound of a sword hitting something.

There are only weak demons, like the ones I've been knocking down from earlier on in this hierarchy, so there are no demons that sound like such metal stands.

I mean, without all the irregularities, it's the sound of an adventurer's battle, more than the sound of metal hitting something.

I heard that. I have people!

And my heart jumped.

It's only been about a day since I started living in this labyrinth.

But nevertheless, it was only natural to think so, because we had been fighting all night, alone, in this labyrinth.

Normally I would fight from morning to evening or so and go back to the city to eat, sometime I would be a boner "Skeleton" and in the midnight of the future's total invisibility, in the middle of the day with few people, I was alone in the labyrinth, so it is only natural that I would miss people even for just about a day.

Anyone, if there is an adventurer, can't we have a conversation because it's just a word?

I thought so, too.

But I also understood that the fact that it was a pretty tough thing to do was that I was excited about the boulder.

Anyway, even though I've taken off the skeleton, I'm a corpse-eating ghost, Ghoul.

If a dead corpse suddenly approaches you, if you're a decent adventurer, you'll be on your guard and you'll wave your weapon to defeat them.

There can't be room for discussion or anything.

So the only option I need to take now is to stay as far away from where I can hear this battle sound and stay out of contact with adventurers.

Although.

I was really, really worried.

Can it be that there are people so close that they don't go to see it?

No, I can't.

I felt miserable enough to say so.

And I made a choice.

Just get a little closer and run away when you're about to burst.

Just a little peek from the shadows, you'll be fine, think so.

Then, while hiding as many signs as he could, he slowly proceeded to hear the sound.

As the sound grows, the excitement in my mind increases.

A little more.

Almost, I haven't seen a human in a long time.

And I finally got there.

From the other side of that corner, I'm hearing battle noises.

I approached you slowly, and softly, I peered through the aisle leading across the corner.

Then, as you can see, there was one adventurer fighting the demons.
