Never Judge

Chapter 124 - 124

After lunch Cedric and Adrianna went to Pris Mall to go shopping. This was the first time they would be going around a mall since Adrianna found out that Cedric was actually the Reyes Heir.

Unfortunately, old habits die hard, as Adrianna marched into a cheaper store rather than one of the luxury shops that the rich favored. Cedric just laughed as he held her hand and leaned in to whisper.

"I think you've forgotten that we actually own this mall." Cedric teased.

Adrianna just laughed as she realized how foolish it was that she marched into the shop because she was used to buying cheaper things with Cedric.

As she and Cedric left the shop they were greeted by a smiling Tony Tamano. The couple smiled back and invited him over for coffee. Tony agreed saying he didn't have anything better to do the rest of the day anyway.

"I heard you were supposed to be part of this big project with the Chus." Tony told Adrianna.

"I am. We're already in the first week of the partnership." Adriann said with a nod.

"That's odd. All the forums said you didn't show up for the meeting in the Bamboo Room. There were even paparazzi photos, I didn't see your car." Tony said as he tried to find the post on his phone.

"Oh, I arrived earlier so the paparazzi didn't get to take photos." Adrianna said as she quickly came up with an excuse. The paparazzi had actually managed to snap photos of her car, it was just that no one knew that she was in the highly guarded vehicle.

"So how is the project?" Tony asked.

"I've encountered some issues with the Cruz couple, and we still need to source a supplier for some precious metals and some fabrics." Adrianna said.

"You know, I might know someone who could help." Cedric teased his wife, of course the someone he was referring to was himself.

"We don't have too much work now. We could supply you with those things. And I could give you the family friend price!" Tony boasted.

"Really Tony? That would be amazing. But you don't need to give me a discount, Island's Inc. can afford to pay." Adrianna said.

"Give us a moment Tony." Cedric said, pulling his wife to a corner where Tony wouldn't be able to hear their conversation.

"You refuse my help, but are willing to take Tony's help?" Cedric asked.

"Tony is our friend. He offered to help. Why would I reject it?" To Adrianna there were no issues in having Tony be the supplier for the project.

"Why can't you just accept my help?" Cedric asked Adrianna.

"If you were to help me out, what would you do?" Adrianna asked as she crossed her arms.

"I would get some suppliers from the Reyes Group of course." Cedric told Adrianna.

"First of all, we had a deal, I am going to do things my way, on my own, without your support until I can stand on the same stage as you. Second, there is still a chance you would end up getting Tony as your supplier, he already works with Ray, I'm sure the quality of his materials meet Ray's standards." Adrianna explained to her husband.

Cedric wasn't happy with the arrangement or her answers, he honestly didn't like other men helping his wife, she was his wife after all. But Cedric made a promise, he said he wouldn't interfere unless absolutely necessary. So he let the issue go and returned back to their table with Adrianna.

"I'll take your deal Tony." Adrianna said as she extended her hand to shake his.

Tony smiled and took Adrianna's hand and shook it. "Thanks Mrs. Reyes."

Adrianna suddenly froze. "What did you say?" Adrianna asked.

"Mrs. Reyes. Isn't Cedric's last name Reyes?" Tony said innocently.

"Ah, yes." Adrianna was taken by surprise since very few people referred to her as Mrs. Reyes. Most of those that did were either part of the Reyes family staff or their friends and relatives that knew Cedric's real identity. Outside people still called her Miss Adrianna or Miss Hernandez, it was their way of saying that her husband was born lower than her and that his family name meant little to them.

"I can give you the discount Adrianna. I earned quite a lot when I made the Northstar Set for Mr. Laurence." Tony said looking at the ring on Adrianna's finger.

"Oh, you did. That's great." Adrianna couldn't help feel like something was off with Tony's comment.

"I thought you said the rings were fake or an imitation Tony?" Cedric said, quick to remind Tony not to think too much into the ring Adrianna was wearing.

"I've seen your wedding rings a couple of times already Cedric." Tony said, offering no other explanation.

"What are you trying to say Tony?" Adrianna nervously asked.

"Don't you think that conversation should be held somewhere more private?" Tony asked Cedric.

"Out with it." Cedric said in a commanding voice, however this didn't startle Tony at all.

"There is only one set of your wedding rings Cedric. I should have known that Mr. Laurence wouldn't just give it to anyone. When I saw the photos online I thought at first they just looked similar, but I personally provided the stones and the metal for those rings. I could never be mistaken." Tony told Cedric.

Adrianna was surprised that Tony had seemed to have figured out who Cedric was with just the ring he wore.

"Why don't you come home with us Tony? We moved to a new house, we can continue our chat there." Cedric said with a bitter grin.

Tony simply nodded and followed Cedric and Adrianna as they drove to Mountain View.
