Never Judge

Chapter 102 - 102

Three hours had passed and Adrianna wasn't feeling well. Cedric had asked Nicole if Adrianna could rest in her office. Nicole met them half way and let Adrianna rest in the lounge.

"Do you want me to call a doctor?" Nicole asked Adrianna.

"No. I'm just over worked. I've been stressed because of Cedric, then work, then now my grandfather. I never really handled stress well." Adrianna said with a nervous laugh.

"Well if you need anything just tell me." Nicole took Adrianna's phone, typed something, then handed it back. "Here's my number. Cedric is outside, working I assume. I swear he's such a workaholic I think he neglects you sometimes." Nicole said with a sigh.

"I think we are both workaholics." Adrianna giggled.

"Well I should get back, my brother will be looking for me." Nicole said.

"Eric?" Adrianna asked.

"No, Miguel. I'm part of your grandfather's operation. So I'll be heading back now." Nicole said as she left the room.

It slipped Adrianna's mind that Nicole was a doctor too and that she was part of Miguel's team. There was truly more to those sisters than what the public saw. Ayanna was a business genius, Veronica a design queen, Katerina ruled the courtroom, and Nicole balanced both being a doctor and running a hospital. Natalia on the other hand was the most mysterious but Adrianna was sure she heard Miguel say that Natalia was a member of MENSA, meaning Natalia was probably the smartest in the group.

Cedric was working when Nicole came out of the lounge.

"How is she?" Cedric asked.

"I think she's just tired. It's been a difficult past few weeks for her." Nicole explained.

"Alright." Cedric said.

"You should pay more attention to your wife Cedric." Nicole said as she left. Cedric just nodded.

After two hours Adrianna came out of the lounge. Cedric was in the middle of a meeting and looked up at his wife and smiled. Since his camera wasn't on he pulled her on his lap and muted his microphone and kissed her passionately. Adrianna was surprised and slightly embarrassed by Cedric's actions. She thought the camera was on, so she blushed and pushed him away. Cedric just laughed and pointed at the laptop to show her that the camera was off. Adrianna just grinned and sat opposite Cedric.

With his meeting done Cedric hugged Adrianna and kissed her neck.

"Why are you being so aggressive? What if Nicole walks in?" Adrianna asked.

"We should have eight to ten hours. She's in the operating room with Miguel." Cedric said as he placed kisses on Adrianna's neck, then her lips.

"Stop. This isn't appropriate." Adrianna said.

Cedric stopped and placed Adrianna down on the couch.

"Fine." Cedric laughed. "Let's go buy some food for your family. They might be looking for us." Cedric said as he packed up his things and left them on the table.

"Your things?" Adrianna asked.

"Camilla will come over to collect them later. Come on." Cedric said, pulling his wife out.

The couple walked to a nearby restaurant and bought food for the Hernandez family, who were waiting outside of the operating room.

When Adrianna arrived Mark Chu was there with Asia.

"Adrianna, we were just discussing your cousin's wedding." Uncle Matthew said.

"Oh, have you set a date?" Adrianna asked.

Asia who was already beginning to show signs of her pregnancy was seated down.

"Yes. We were thinking of getting married in a month. We can't wait for my dad and brother's issue to get settled." Asia said.

"We're lucky that Mark managed to pull some strings to get Miguel Chan to operate on grandpa." Asia boasted.

"What did you say?" Adrianna asked. She suddenly felt furious at Asia for taking credit of what her husband had done. Mark Chu had no power to get Miguel to operate on Grandpa Hernandez.

Cedric suddenly held Adrianna's hand. He felt like Adrianna was about to do something she might regret.

"Yes. We are lucky that Miguel Chan could operate on Grandpa." Cedric said.

"I thought Adrianna had left you." Asia said.

"Really Asia? After your fiance kicked you off Kashmere during the party?" Adrianna spat.

"You were on Kashmere?" Uncle Matthew asked. He had not seen Asia on the island or at the party. It was because the whole time she was there Asia had been confined to their villa and was later on sent away by Ray Laurence through the actions of Mark Chan.

"That stupid Raymund Laurence probably has crush on my Mark and wanted him for himself." Asia accused.

"Are you accusing Raymund Laurence of being gay?" Cathy Hernandez asked her niece.

"You've heard the rumors auntie! He's never been seen dating a girl. Who is that rich that doesn't date?" Asia asked.

"Asia that's enough." Mark scolded Asia.

"Mr. Laurence is our benefactor. Do not spread rumors about him." Mark said in a much lower voice.

The group sat back down and waited out the rest of the operation in silence.

After a long wait the doors to the operating room opened and Miguel walked out followed by Nicole and Jo.

"The operation was a success. We will keep the patient under an induced coma for a couple of days so that his body can recover properly." Miguel told the family.

"Thank you Doctor Miguel. We are truly lucky that you operated on my father." Uncle Matthew said. "I promise to donate to any charity you ask."

"In that case." Miguel said with a grin, looking at Cedric.

Cedric shook his head. Miguel was known for accepting donations to charity as a form of gratuity from his wealthier patients. Cedric didn't completely approve, but it helped other people, so Cedric couldn't be against it either.

"I'll have my assistant reach out to you for the details Mr. Hernandez." Miguel said.

"Thank you Doctor Miguel. We are very lucky that Mark was able to reach out to you!" Uncle Matthew said, full of praise for Mark Chu.

At Uncle Matthew's words, Mark and Asia paled. They both knew that Miguel Chan had taken the operation without their intervention.

"You think they convinced my brother to do the operation?" Nicole said as she laughed behind Miguel.
