Necropolis Immortal

C.2159.1: Saint? Saaaaaint?

Chapter 2159.1: Saint? Saaaaaint?

Dead silence reigned on the third floor of Immortal Gathering. Only Lu Yun’s lip smacks and lascivious chortling could be heard.

“Hahaha, well done! As expected of young master Lu, you are the glory of our generation!” Yu Shuai broke into loud applause and threw knowing winks at his friend.

No one knew why Ouyang Shenghe had beaten up Lu Yun. The noble sons of the capital frequently clashed with each other, but they never sought to kill one another. If it wasn’t for the Lu experts arriving in the nick of time three months ago, Lu Yun wouldn’t have made it out alive.

Even so, he’d barely survived. So this was the reason why!

Ouyang Shengxiang was the apple of the Ouyang eye, a connate fragrance constitution that appeared once in a thousand years. Wreathed by a natural fragrance, someone of her constitution progressed extremely slowly at the start of their cultivation journey. At fifteen years old, she was only third level qi refinement.

But once she established her foundations, her cultivation speed could only be described as terrifying. Forming a nascent soul was simply a matter of time.

Dark Orchid Empire—Darklake’s superior nation—had also noted Ouyang Shengxiang’s existence. They were waiting for her to reach latter nascent soul before moving her to Dark Orchid Empire for further training.

She was the Ouyang Clan’s little princess and Lu Yun had unspeakable relations with her! No wonder the Ouyangs had gone so mad that they were willing to provoke Lu Tianling—the strongest of the empire.

A faintly smiling Lu Yun took in the laughter and chatter around him, but current happenings somehow seemed very unreal, like this wasn’t his life.

However, the thought recoiled in his mind as soon as it formed, as if it was unwilling to touch something. An enormous instinct wanted to awaken the past him, but his subconsciousness told that instinct that this was to be avoided at all costs. He couldn’t do that, no matter what!

Right now, he was Lu Yun of Darklake Empire, Lu Tianling’s grandson!

The past… he couldn’t have a past!

“Lu Yun, you spew nonsense!” Inside the room, Ouyang Shengmu shot to his feet with a look of fury.

Ouyang Shengxiang was betrothed to the crown prince of Dark Orchid Empire and the clan had finally managed to attach itself to a tremendous backer! The clan would also be dragged into things if her reputation suffered!

“This young master is spouting nonsense?” Lu Yun waved his graphic fan and flicked a sidelong glance at Ouyang Shengmu when the young man walked out. “Do you not know about the red mole on your sister’s left butt cheek?”

“This, this is nonsense! Sheer ridiculousness! There is no red mole on my sister’s bottom!” As Ouyang Shengmu was only nineteen years old, he immediately lost his composure when Lu Yun provoked him in this manner. Who would’ve thought that the trash in front of him would be so out of line?? He had to say something to protect his younger sister’s reputation!

“What, have you seen Ouyang Shengxiang’s butt with your own eyes?” Lu Yun shook his head and clucked his tongue.

“You!!” Ouyang Shengmu turned bright red. “Why would I ever do that?? Stop it with your lies!”

Lu Yun was an old monster who’d weathered three thousand reincarnations; he’d fully experienced all of the vicissitudes of life. Although Ouyang Shengmu was very promising, he was just a baby in Lu Yun’s eyes.

Additionally, there seemed to be something that’d left an even deeper impression than the three thousand reincarnations. It was the life that’d been covered by his various lifetimes, the one that he couldn’t remember.

“Then of course you don’t know about the red mole,” Lu Yun cocked his head. “Or maybe you already know about it, but you’re just pretending not to… Rumors say that the three Ouyang brothers are very close with their baby sister. Do the four of you often hide together and play some special games…” he mused with a knowing expression on his face. These shameless speculations were the height of insolence!

“Bastard, you little bastard!” Ouyang Shengmu squawked with outrage.

Yuwen Chenghu was stiff with surprise next to him. Things were developing in a completely different direction from what they thought. Their plans had said that the one hollering with anger and in complete mental disarray would be young master Lu. So why were things turning out like this?

Yuwen Chenghu was a complete buffoon who’d been taken in by Lu Yun. His thoughts proceeded down strange directions after hearing the wild speculations. Meanwhile, Yu Shuai and Zhao Chenguang snickered without mercy.

Paused at the head of the stairs all this time, Lu Xiaochi assessed the situation with a strange light in his eyes. He dipped his head in thought, then left Immortal Gathering. He knew what would happen next.

“Slap him, Ouyang Feng!” roared Ouyang Shengmu, rage boiling over at the leer on Lu Yun’s face. A stony faced middle-aged man rushed out of the room behind him. Dressed in black, the man reached for Lu Yun’s face.

“How dare a pathetic servant raise his hand against me?! I’ll have your entire family killed for this!” Enormous killing intent rose between Lu Yun’s brows when he registered Ouyang Feng’s emergence. His killing intent was the culmination of three thousand reincarnations, the dignity of a lofty personage that could not be disrespected.

Ouyang Feng was Ouyang Shengmu’s personal guard. Despite being mid golden core, he faltered when met with Lu Yun’s overwhelming glare.

“Ouyang Feng, you piece of trash, hurry up and hit him!” Ouyang Shenmu cursed when he saw his guard hesitate.

“Hold!” A mollifying voice tinged with authority rang out. A slightly chubby, middle-aged man dressed in golden robes had appeared at some point on the third floor. “It would be untoward for an altercation to develop in Immortal Gathering, young sirs.”

He was the general manager of Immortal Gathering and his cultivation had reached latter golden core.

“This young master will pay ten times whatever we break! Ouyang Feng, slap him!” Ouyang Shengmu snarled, incensed by Lu Yun’s last words. They were a fatal blow to Ouyang Shengxiang’s reputation and the entire Ouyang Clan!

What special games between the Ouyang siblings?? What kind of sheer utter tripe was that?! Even his eldest brother Ouyang Shengtian, hailed as the foremost genius of the capital, would be enraged, to say nothing of Ouyang Shengmu.

Ouyang Feng regained his bearings—he was an Ouyang deathsworn and his mental state as solid as a rock. He found solid footing against the Lu young master again. Thus, he raised his enormous hands and slammed them toward Lu Yun’s cheeks.

“Lu Xuan, kill him!” Lu Yun sneered to see a mere servant raising a hand against him.

Whoosh!

Lu Xuan’s sword light was already rushing toward Ouyang Feng before his master finished his command. Ouyang Feng jerked with surprise and hastily backed up.

“Kill Lu Xuan!” Ouyang Shengmu calmed down and barked out a frosty command.

Yuwen Chenghu shook his head with confusion, wondering how things had progressed like this. Although the results were the same, it was Ouyang Shengmu who’d taken action first.

According to their plans, Lu Yun would make the first move while Ouyang Shengmu and Yuwen Chenghu followed his lead. They would kill Lu Yun’s guard in the ensuing fight and then cripple Lu Yun again, just like things had occurred three months ago!

Although some mishaps had occurred along the way, the final outcome should still be the same.

“Yujin, you go as well,” Yuwen Chenghu directed as Lu Xuan clashed with Ouyang Feng. Another golden core expert bounded out of the private room.

“Yuwen Chenghu, you’re just a piece of trash to your clan. How come you have a golden core guard by your side??” Yu Shuai and Zhao Chenguang squawked with surprise when they saw another golden core guard rush out.

Yuwen Chenghu’s status in his family was similar to theirs in their families. Although the former was initial foundation establishment, he was much older than Zhao Chenguang and the others, so he wasn’t highly regarded by his clan.

He would never be assigned a golden core guard!

Ouyang Shengmu was different, he was a treasured genius of his clan. It was entirely reasonable that the Ouyangs would send a golden core powerhouse to protect him.

Two golden core cultivators fought each other—one initial golden core and one mid stage. Sword light flashed like dragons and churned toward Lu Xuan.

“Lu Xuan, kill those two scum!” Lu Yun snarled. Everyone blinked when they heard his words. Didn’t the ignorant prodigal know that his opponent’s guards were stronger than his deathsworn?

Kill the two? Lu Xuan wouldn’t even be able to hold his own.

Stunned expressions crossed their faces the next second.

Pfft!

Ouyang Feng and Yujing’s heads soared into the air with two neat moves. Two headless bodies stumbled back and crashed to the ground.

Dead silence reigned.

Everyone was shocked. Two golden core powerhouses had died in a split second!

One had to know, the Ouyangs and Yuwens were in a different league compared to the Lus. The Lus had risen to prominence in the last one hundred years and possessed shallow foundations. The other two were illustrious cultivation families in Darklake Empire. Their roots ran deep and their deathsworn were not like Lu Xuan, forced to their level through secret arts. They’d cultivated every step of the way to attain their strength.

Lu Xuan raised his sword expressionlessly, majestic and proud. Although he was only initial golden core, he seemed mysterious and inscrutable in this moment.

“You lil piece of shit wanted to slap me?!” Lu Yun paled for the briefest of seconds before erupting with domineering fury. He scowled and charged up to Ouyang Shengmu, delivering a hearty slap across the face.

Slap me?!

The old Lu Yun wouldn’t have stood for it and the new Lu Yun would respond in an even more overbearing fashion! No one could even think about it!

Smack!

Ouyang Shengmu flew backward from the ringing blow, his left cheek swollen. Since his cultivation was much stronger than Lu Yun’s, he didn’t suffer much injury.

“How dare you hit me?!” Ouyang Shengmu reeled with surprise and snarled before throwing himself at Lu Yun. He was stronger than Ouyang Shenghe—Shenghe had been able to beat Lu Yun to an inch of death. He could more than manage the same deed!

“Help him!” Yu Shuai and Zhao Chenguang looked at each other before leaping forward. However, Yuwen Chenghu stopped them from helping their friend.
