Monument of Life and Death

Chapter 753: Know you are

   Chapter 753

Slow footsteps came from behind everyone.

The mother-in-law stepped on the dwarf weeds that had grown out of the ground and walked over with a smile.

   "Have you had breakfast?"

"Eat!" The girl's eyes flashed, "Ask grandpa how delicious the meal is."

The mother-in-law smiled and rubbed the girl's head.

About half a year has passed. The mother-in-law is quite old, the wrinkles between her eyebrows and eyes criss-cross, and her thin body is even smaller.

The girl lowered her head and coughed a few times. The mother-in-law gathered up the smile on her face and hurriedly reached out and patted her back, "Is there any medicine?"

"Also...cough cough cough...and," the girl panted slightly and raised her head, but she pulled out a smile, "Mom left me a lot of medicine, enough to eat."

The mother-in-law looked distressed, looking at the tender smile, she only shook her head, unable to speak.

"Grandma," the girl asked vainly after she recovered, "You said...have they found a new home?"

The mother-in-law looked at the girl’s black and white eyes, and replied slowly, "Grandma doesn’t know either."

"Yes," the girl lowered her eyebrows. "We only know what's in front of us."

Her mother-in-law said unbearably, "It will be okay."

"Yes," the girl raised her head and said firmly, "When we pay back the eyes, father, mother, and sister, they will be safe, right?"

  The mother-in-law nodded slowly, "Yes."

"That's all right," the girl looked a little confused, "I really want to take a look at the new home..."

The mother-in-law did not answer, but her eyes were broken. The girl seemed to feel that she had said something that shouldn't be said. She was busy pretending to be okay, holding her mother-in-law's hand with a smile, and said coquettishly, "Grandma, let's go, uncles, aunts, and others. It should be coming soon too, don't let Grandpa wait for us..."

Everyone followed them, walked for a while in the desolate stockade, and then came to Wenling's home.

On the steps in front of Wenling's house, the thin and tall boy was sitting. The boy saw the two from a distance and quickly patted his **** and stood up.

"Uncles and aunts are here," the boy waved his hands at the two of them, "Quick, quick, they are making good food in there..."

Sure enough, as soon as the door was opened, the aroma of food floated on the face.

The boy whispered in the ears of the two of them, "Ask grandpa how delicious cooking is, what do you think? Anyway, it's so much better than my father and mother. I'm eating to death..."

The girl responded with a smile, “My mother didn’t ask my grandpa to cook delicious food...but I still love it.”

After speaking, there was a trace of tears in her eyes. Seeing that the boy's expression was a little stiff, the girl immediately turned her head and sniffed hard, "Is this... the smell of sauce?"

"The nose is weird!" There was a familiar female voice like a silver bell from the kitchen, Zhizhi peeked out, and said to the three people in the living room, "I made the sauce, not yours. The chef asked Grandpa, come in and taste the saltiness."

"A...Auntie, can you cook?" The boy ran over nervously.

"Oh, you kid, what, don’t you think I’m not good at cooking?"

"No, auntie, it's just... the meat is expensive, if it breaks..."

"You little guy really owes you a beating, come over and let me fight twice!...Alas, don’t hide behind your uncle if you have the ability!..."

Everyone walked into the kitchen. The small kitchen was covered with smoke, and there were a few people crowded in the middle of the vast expanse of white. The boy was running around, Zhizhi brandishing a rolling pin and chasing behind him.

The boy hid behind a middle-aged man. The man was sitting in a wheelchair. The two jockeys gestured to each other across him. He smiled slightly and didn't speak.

But then, the man turned his face away.

  He looked in their direction.

The man's gaze was straight, he looked like a blind man.

Everyone unanimously looked behind them, thinking that it was someone who came from behind.

but.

The man's slightly lighter eyes circled stiffly around them, then he turned the wheelchair, fumbled, and approached Grandpa Wenling next to the stove.

"Why is he a bit blind?" Qin Yin said softly.

"Yes," Wen Ling nodded and replied, "Blind."

Her eyes are still on her grandfather.

"Are there blind people in Sanyan?" Bao Mu asked in shock.

"Perhaps the same as Wenling's speech system, it is also a natural taboo," Luo Jiutian said. "The blind eyes may be able to see unusual things. In my opinion, he seems to have seen us."

Seeing that everyone else was shocked, Luo Jiutian shrugged, “I guessed too, don’t interrupt, let’s watch.”

"Mr. Ask..." The man silently pushed the wheelchair and came behind Grandpa Wenling.

"Huh?" Grandpa Wenling looked down at him.

The man was asking Grandpa Ling what he said quietly, and after asking Grandpa Ling, he showed a mysterious smile.

"Don't worry, there are indeed guests today." After Grandpa Wenling finished speaking, he turned his head and kneaded the dough.

"Guest?" The boy on the side had very good ears and quickly said, "Is anyone else coming?"

At this time, the girl and mother-in-law also squeezed into the small kitchen and just heard these words.

The mother-in-law also asked, "Are there guests?"

   "Yes, there are guests."

Grandpa Wenling stopped his hand movements, paused, turned his back to them, bent over and took out a set of cutlery from the cupboard, turned and put it on the dining table.

The mother-in-law looked at the set of cutlery, "Isn't this Wenling's cutlery?"

Everyone turned their heads to look at Wen Ling, who stared at the small brown wooden bowl, their pupils trembling.

"Leave, I'm a guest," Grandpa Wen Ling muttered, turned his head back to the side of the stove, and then rolled his hands.

Xiaolan thought of something. She paced to the side of the almanac on the wall. Seeing that page, there was a small mark on it.

  This day is Wenling’s birthday.

Xiaolan was speechless, walked back to Wenling silently, took out the facial tissue in her pocket and handed it to her.

But Wenling did not cry, she returned the tissue to Xiaolan.

  She just stared.

"Hey..." After reading this riddle of Grandpa Wenling's behavior, the boy said nonchalantly, "I thought I was really coming, so I was shocked."

"What's so shocking for you?" the girl teased.

"I... I'm afraid I won't survive?" The boy rolled his eyes and jumped to the side of the rice pot.

"He's lying," the girl joked, pointing to the boy's back, "haha, I can see it, you are afraid that others will come and grab your food..."

The boy licked his mouth bitterly, "Hmph, it's great that you can see people lying, I'm still looking for something, you have the ability to get Dong XZ up and let me look for it, and see if I find it in no time..."
