By the time Valyr left the village clinic, it was already the next morning. Of course, Vera made sure that his body got the nutrition it needed before then, making sure that he had fully healed from his injuries before he was discharged. Naturally, once he was out, making his way back to the barracks, a ton of people looked at him with slightly shocked expressions.

After all, he still wore the bloodied clothes from when he and Tristan was ambushed.

Not minding the looks he got while walking as he continued to greet those who knew him, he eventually arrived at the barracks, heading straight to his dormitory room to take a long-needed shower. Once he was done, he changed into a new set of clean clothes before heading to the cafeteria to grab some breakfast.

Surprisingly, the news of him and Tristan being ambushed outside the village did not spread, with most of the topics he decided to join into being mostly about mundane matters regarding happenings within the village, as well as nearby villages. At some point, Leon and the others joined him as well, deciding to brag to Valyr about the fact that all of them had finally reached the peak of Rank 0.

In response, Valyr lightly grinned before radiating a part of the aura his current class gave him, causing the three great shock as it seemed that whenever they moved forward, Valyr was already one step ahead of them. Nevertheless, the three of them were glad that their friend had become one of the village's Guard Captains, imagining what it would be like under his leadership.

Eventually, all of them had finished eating breakfast, prompting them to go on and head their separate ways. Going over the idea he had come up with while in the village clinic, he made his way to Damian's office, knocking on the door soon after.

"Come in." Hearing Damian's voice resound from the other side, Valyr allowed himself into the room, closing the door behind him as he sat on a nearby chair, waiting for the former to finish what he was doing as always.

"I guess you're here to inform me regarding the ambush you and Tristan experienced a couple nights ago?" Placing down the document he was reading, Damian raised his eyebrow as he looked at Valyr. Naturally, with how he hadn't heard anything about it from the other guards, Valyr was somewhat taken aback.

"Let's just say I have my own methods of getting that information." Just as he was about to ask the question, Damian seemed to be one step ahead of him. However, this mysterious veil surrounding the latter was quickly destroyed when he heard his next words. "And that method would be Tristan informing me."

Hearing that, Valyr could not help but let out a light sigh as he shook his head. "Well, that's not what I was actually planning to tell you. After all, it's pointless to tell you that since both Tristan and I don't even know the reason behind it."

"What are you planning to tell me then?" Seeing as his guess was wrong, Damian's interest was somewhat piqued.

"Well, before I do that, could you ask Tristan to come here?" Valyr said in response. "It would be better if I tell you both at the same time. After all, aside from a few other people, you two are the people I probably trust the most."

Nodding in response, Damian went ahead and sent out a small strand of mana out of the window in his room, headed to who knows where. Noticing that, Valyr thought to himself that it would not take long before Tristan arrived. After all, he had used the same technique thousands of times back then.

With that in mind, it was no surprise that a couple of minutes later, a familiar man entered the room. "What's the matter, Damian? Need my help on something?"

As Tristan looked around the office, he soon noticed Valyr sitting one of the chairs. "Oh! Well if it isn't Valyr. Feeling better?"

"Yep. Thanks for the concern." In response to the question, Valyr flashed a light smile.

"Anyways, why did you call me here? And why is Valyr here?" Smiling back in response, Tristan redirected his attention back to Damian.

"I called you here because Valyr has something to tell the two of us." As those words came out of Damian's mouth, Tristan shifted his gaze to Valyr, who nodded in response to the words spoken.

"Well, to be honest, I've only decided to tell you two this after experiencing the ambush. It gave me a well-needed wake-up call." Saying those words, Valyr commanded the system to bring up his status screen. Once in front of him, he discarded most of the details on it, leaving only his current level, as well as his current class before turning it around to let the two see.

Naturally, once they read the portion of the screen that showed his class, both Damian and Tristan's eyes widened in surprise, with the latter gasping in shock as a question soon came out of his mouth. "A Mythic blacksmith class?! How the hell did you get that?!"

"It's a very long story." Valyr bitterly smiled. "In any case, the fact that I'm showing you I have this class means I trust you two to not spread this information."

"Consider my lips sealed." Damian nodded in response, only for his gaze to turn towards Tristan not long after. "Tristan?"

"I don't have any reason to tell others about it, but still…" Hearing his name called, Tristan could not help but grumble in jealousy. "A Mythic blacksmith class… doesn't that basically mean you can forge stuff as well as I can?"

"Probably a bit better than what you can do." Valyr shrugged his shoulders. "After all, I haven't really shown everything I can do during the tournament."

At that point, Tristan could not help but slump down on a nearby seat before letting out a light sigh. "Haah… I feel like I've been made a fool."

"Pretty much why I've only decided to tell you now," said Valyr in response.

"Well, if I think about it, it's only surprising at the first instance. But when I take into consideration your surname, it's not really that surprising," Damian said all of a sudden, prompting the two to pay attention. "In fact, it would probably be more surprising if you didn't have a high tier class."

"Huh? Why's that? What's Valyr's surname?" Naturally, Tristan and Valyr's interest were both piqued, with the latter trying to find clues to his surname all this time. Thankfully for him, Tristan asked the question he had in mind.

"Mind telling him your surname?" In response, Damian looked at Valyr, prompting Tristan to look at him as well.

"It's Zeihardt." Valyr looked back at Damian, only to shift his gaze towards Tristan soon after. However, rather than expect a nonchalant expression on the latter's face, he instead saw Tristan looking at him as if he were a ghost.

"You're a Zeihardt?!" Tristan could not help but exclaim, to which Valyr could only nod in slight confusion. "If you told me this from the get-go, then I wouldn't have been too surprised about your class either!"

"Eh? Why's that?" In response to Tristan's words, Valyr could not help but tilt his head in slight confusion. Seeing Valyr's reaction, Damian and Tristan could not help but look at each other, wondering to themselves as to how they knew what the surname signified, while the one with the surname didn't.

Not bothering to question why that was the case, Tristan went ahead and told Valyr what he needed to do. "Didn't you know that the Zeihardt family is a well-known noble clan in these parts?"

Ding!

Just as he had gained a bit of information on his surname, a string of notification sounds resounded from the system, prompting him to take a look at it. Though, as he read through it, his eyes slightly widened in surprise.
