( Meanwhile Regus Aurelius )

" He broke it? My idiot son broke it? " Regus said in disbelief as he got a system notification that Marcus had broken his system contract and revealed his family name publically.

" Just when I had hopes of him improving and living a decent life?

Just what happened that he lost his calm?" Regus questioned as uncontrollable rage filled his heart

" DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT! DAMN IT"

*Bang*

Regus slammed his fists on his work desk which crumpled to sand as the entirety of Ixtal felt a slight tremor because of his anger.

Marcus was a gone case from this moment forward, he was no longer eligible to be the prince of the Vampire Clan any longer. There was no road to redemption left for him.

Regus was extremely regretful, however he understood that it was Marcus's own decisions that landed him in this place.

The rules of his exile were clear, yet he broke them meaning that he must have thought that his vain pride must be worth more than the punishment it would bring him.

" In the end he's just like you, I could never tame your Nightblade clan, I could never raise your son either " Regus said as he reminisced about Marcus's mother and his only true love.

*************

( Back at Maralago )

Max turned on the ' Battle-Mode ' and was instantly covered in his flaming armour as he got completely serious about fighting Marcus.

The enemy was strong and if he did not give Marcus the respect he deserved as an opponent, Max might just have his head severed from his shoulders.

[ Fireball ]

Max threw a Fireball at Marcus who deflected it with his sword and used [ Repeated Slash ] attack to send multiple sword slashes towards Max.

[ Fire Wall ]

Max used Firewall to block the incoming sword slashes and create some separation between himself and Marcus as he mulled over his enemy's freakish power.

Marcus was about as fast as Max, slightly stronger and definitely had much higher dexterity.

It seemed to be absurd to Max that someone like Marcus was such an elite warrior, because Max knew just how much he had to sacrifice to get these superior stats at his tier and there was no way the lazy prince could have ever endured a third of what Max went through to get them.

But it was exactly this thinking where Max missed the gap between their backgrounds.

Ever since Marcus was a baby he was fed with precious Elixirs and items that artificially increased stats.

As the mighty Vampire Monarch, Regus knew the importance of walking the path of the perfect warrior, and hence he made it mandatory for all his kids to eat all sorts of Elixirs to maximise their stats before tiering up.

Unlike Max, Marcus had indeed not worked to get those extra points, but just like Max, he had them regardless.

But that was not the only differentiating factor.

If it were just stats, Max's superior genes and race would have given him the edge, however, Marcus's equipment negated these benefits for Max.

Everything that Marcus used was legendary grade. From his boots to his sword and hence the punch his equipment produced was far greater than what a regular sword would do.

Marcus had a +150% damage booster buff in his sword, a cheat that allowed him to deal monstrous damages to enemies.

And it was with these cheats that Marcus was able to stand toe to toe with Max, but unfortunately for Marcus it was still far from enough from beating Max.

[ Summon Nether Beasts ]

Max summoned his Netherbeasts and unleashed them on Marcus as for a very brief moment Marcus had to ignore Max and take care of his immediate attackers and it was at that instant that Max used [ Inferno] to blast Marcus and his hounds alike.

-55,000 CRITICAL HIT

It was an attack combination Max had picked up from his mirror world training, one that he had personally died to on many occasions and it worked perfectly on Marcus as it chopped off more than 60% of the man's HP in one strike.

" AGHHH, AGHHH, it burns, it burns " Marcus cried and whined as Max quickly closed in the distance between himself and Marcus and used [ Fake Out ] as he pretended to stab Marcus right in his gut, but as the man lousily pulled out his sword in front to block the attack Max kicked his sword aside with a strong right kick to his palm leaving Marcus weaponless.

When Marcus realised that he was left weaponless, all his maniacal expressions started to melt and one of panic replaced them as his knees began to wobble and he fell flat on his bum in front of Max.

" D-d-dont don't you dare do anything to me, I'm Marcus Aurelius, I'll kill you if you touch me, let me go, let me go " Marcus said as he nervously slid away from Max who calmly kept walking towards him.

At this instance looking at the cowardly Marcus do a 180 on what he wanted to do just moments ago, Max was reminded of his brothers words about how there were two types of men in the world

1)Sheep wearing tiger skin men : These types of men oppressed those beneath them and acted rowdily when they had a weapon in their hands

But the moment things got tough, these men had no spine or backbone to get through tough situations.

Marcus was one such man.

2) The dragon amongst tiger men : These types of men bowed to no-one and made no-one bow to them.

They were the self made men, and the tougher the situation got, the better it drews out of them.

Rudra was one such man.

When Marcus lost his sword and was at Max's mercy, the realities of the world finally started to hit him, that he was not the bigshot that he thought he was and that without his family support and his goons he was no match for a fighter like Max despite all the elite training and Elixirs he had received all his life.

As Max raised his hand to slap Marcus who flinched and closed his eyes as he wetted himself a shadowy figure that Max had never been able to detect in the background during the entire fight finally made his move and swiftly came to the forefront.

When Marcus opened his eyes again, his tier5 guardian that his father had assigned to save his life stood over his body, holding Max's hand firmly as Marcus finally breathed a sigh of relief.

" We're done here, I'm taking the young master and leaving.

Let the matter rest " the man said as he forcefully broke Max's left arm bone to dust.

Max did not so much so as flinch despite the pain as he stared the guardian coldly in the eyes, but he did not go against his wishes as he allowed him to flee with Marcus.

Although Max really wanted a taste of beating the living shit out of Marcus, seeing him pee himself and whine was not too bad either.
