Chapter 108 Good Night, Sweet Dreams

"If you want to comfort me, forget it, I'm not that fragile," Adrian smiled slightly, interrupting Julia's words, "It's just a defeat, and I'll get it in two years at most."

These confident words made Julia stunned.

"Of course, anyway, thank you." Adrian said, reaching out and brushing the hair from Julia's sideburns to the back of his head, looking into her eyes and saying seriously: "You are so beautiful tonight, Julie."

This action immediately brought back memories of Julia. She opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something, but she quickly turned her head aside, as if a little conflicted and at a loss.

Fortunately, Adrian changed the subject: "By the way, when did you come to the party? I haven't seen you all this time."

"Well, not long after I came here, I attended another party at the Melita Hotel. I came out to relax because I was a little bored, and then I met a friend, so I was pulled here." Julia shrugged with a smile .

"So what about this side? It's just as boring as that side." Adrian looked at her with a half-smile.

"...More or less," Julia hesitated for a few seconds, but still told the truth, "Parties are like this, everyone eats and drinks together, chats with each other and so on. I already wanted to go back, just happened I saw you on the balcony, so... I walked over... I wanted to say hello to you."

Adrian didn't speak for a few seconds, just stared at Julia's face, until the other party showed a look of resentment, and then said: "Is your assistant downstairs, Julie? "

"Of course, what's the matter?" Julia was a little surprised.

"Did you bring any other clothes?" Adrian continued to ask.

"Well... yes, in the car." Julia still didn't understand.

"That's fine, come on." Adrian grabbed her hand irresistibly, looked into the hall, and then led Julia to the door against the wall, "Since you think the party is boring, then Let's go to some fun places."

"Wait, Ed, doesn't it seem appropriate?" Julia, who was dragged a little by him, asked hesitantly.

"It doesn't matter, we've already finished talking anyway." Adrian said with a chuckle, "Okay, Julie, the Oscars are over, and it's time to indulge."

Indulgence is actually a neutral word, most of the time it is used to refer to self-willedness and unrestraint, and it is derogatory only in certain circumstances. The indulgence in Adrian's mouth obviously refers to the former.

"It's delicious!" After putting a corner of the burrito into her mouth and biting off a piece, Julia immediately gave a thumbs up.

Sitting on the bench outside the street food bar with American characteristics, Julia had already changed her clothes, trousers, a coat and a lotus leaf hat. Under the illumination of the night lights, she couldn't see the appearance of a big star at all.

"Of course, this is the place I recommend. Everyone knows that I am very familiar with these places in Los Angeles." Adrian slapped the toast in front of him and said half-jokingly and half-teasingly.

With a puff, Julia hurriedly covered her mouth. Although the brim of the hat was lowered, she could still see the pair of bent eyes: "Sorry, Ed, I just..."

"It doesn't matter, reporters, especially tabloid reporters, have extraordinary ability to make up stories," Adrian shrugged disapprovingly, "Besides, their stories are not completely unbelievable, although only a little bit."

"Really? So which ones are real?" Julia suddenly asked with great interest.

"That's all you want to know?" Adrian asked deliberately.

"Of course, when I saw those reports about you, I couldn't help but think, have you really done these things? It's not like that at all." Julia recalled curiously.

Adrian, who heard her words in his ears, couldn't help but raised his eyebrows secretly: "Okay, then after we finish eating, let's talk as we walk. Of course, I have the right not to answer some questions..."

After the two of them finished their supper, they strolled along the colorful streets and played some small games, such as simple quizzes and answers to some weird questions. Jumping a few laps alone on the Internet seemed very happy.

"Be careful, don't sprain your feet." Adrian reminded her with a smile.

"Am I that clumsy?" Julia smiled and turned around, as brisk as a little girl under 20, "Don't underestimate me, Ed, you know... ah!"

Just as she turned around, a black shadow hit her head on. Julia exclaimed and was about to fall backwards. Adrian, who was following behind, rushed forward and pulled her into his arms.

"Damn it, this is..." Julia gasped slightly, only to realize that the shadow was just a branch sticking out onto the sidewalk.

"Don't worry, it's just a branch." Adrian said comfortingly, holding the girl in his arms. "Obviously, someone in the government department has neglected their duties. Maybe we should find a place to complain to them, and let the branch stretch out on the road."

"That's the downside of being too tall," Julia sighed, and didn't leave Adrian's arms immediately. "They always say that I'm too tall for a woman, with too broad shoulders, and flat chest..."

"So what?" Adrian grabbed Julia's shoulders and pulled her over. "You are still beautiful, and you still fascinate many men. Those people can't represent everyone."

"You are still... so good at talking, Ed..." Julia stared blankly into his dark eyes, cupped his face and kissed his mouth without warning.

Adrian also hugged Julia unceremoniously, sucking her lips, and the two embraced and kissed passionately on the street, and the accumulated enthusiasm exploded like this. Once, twice, three times, over and over again seems to never end.

Finally, amidst panting, the two separated, and hugged each other head to head to calm down their emotions.

"Julie..." Adrian called softly, but Julia who opened her eyes suddenly pushed him aside, hurried to the side of the street and looked around in a panic: "I have to go back, Ed .”

"Julie, wait, Julie." Adrian reached out to grab her arm, "I just want to tell you..."

"Don't do this, Ed," Julia turned sideways to avoid his hand, turned her head and looked at him pleadingly, "don't do this."

"...I can take you back." Adrian said after a few seconds of silence.

"No, I can go back by myself, that's all." Julia brushed her wind-torn hair, not daring to look at him anymore, and stopped a taxi with her hand.

Adrian sighed and didn't stop him. He didn't speak again until Julia opened the car door: "Julie."

Julia stopped herself and finally turned her head from here on.

"Good night, sweet dreams." Adrian said, looking at her.

Julia forced a smile and got in the car. After watching the taxi disappear at the intersection, Adrian turned around and walked to his parking place, and then a slight smile crossed his face.

(I'm sorry, Dazui will have to wait for a while, ummm, let's eat what's in your mouth first, and then talk about it, and several chapters will not appear.)
