He was the Dragon Son of war. A person designated to get the full support and upbringing of the entire department and a being whose authority lay only below the department heads and principal. he should easily be allowed past the first floor.

After realizing this, Dante quickly rushed towards the library clerk to confirm his suspicions and after checking whether his token was truly authentic, was granted access to all three levels of the scripture pavilion.

With nothing holding him back any longer Dante quickly moved onto the upper floors. He didn't even look at the second floor and skipped directly to the third floor.

Now on the third floor, Dante quickly began scanning through the available techniques and a smile formed on his face.

Finally, the techniques he looked at began to show some gold-ranked techniques and started appearing somewhat satisfactory.

Afterwards, Dante bruised through the library for an additional hour looking for a technique that suited his affinity and taste but the more Dante looked the more frustrated he became.

After a while, a frown couldn't help but appear on his face.

The techniques….there was a definite problem with them.

That's not to say they were poor techniques. As gold rank techniques they are much better than anything available on the first floor and leagues ahead of anything the Kinsman clan could ever hope to get but even with that Dante felt like there was still something missing, a scratch that he just couldn't itch.

His cultivation technique, the moon king sutra was not given a rank but from the esoteric nature, he felt he knew that it was far above gold-ranked  technique, possibly even surpassing the legendary diamond-ranked techniques.

The words Mr Kriel said still rang out in Dante's mind. While spirit energy may be the source of strength your physique will always be its foundation that was especially true for Dante that had quite the broken characteristic

[Draconian Might 3/3 - As a Dragon, you are not only renowned for your amazing magical prowess and knowledge but also your terrifying strength. Awaken the draconic strength hiding inside you granting you a 300% increase in all base physical attributes.]

Now that Dante had 3 dragon souls this characteristic was applied 3 times given a whopping 900% increase in all base physical attributes. And since this was a multiplier effect, no an additional one just a slight increase in his base physical body would result in a terrifying multiplication of his physical strength so If this could be combined with a strong body refining technique … even Dante started to shiver at what terrifying possibilities that it could bring out.

That's why Date refused to settle for anything less than the complete best when it came to his body-refining technique.

Looking around, Dante sighed before getting up to start his search again. It was as he was getting up that Dante suddenly froze.

'What was that?'

Out of the corner of his eye, Dante could see a strange section of the room covered in grey mist.

It was in a secluded section of the library blocked by a set of bookshelves, so if Dante didn't stop to take a break there, he may have missed it entirely.

Walking up to the grey mist, Dante cautiously stretched his hand out towards the mist when his entire body shook.

Dant could only watch in horror as a terrifying amount of spirit energy was sucked out of his body.

As this was happening the mist began to swirl as a faint rumbling could be heard all around him and in a few seconds an eerie staircase completely covered in the grey mist appeared in front of him.

"Gulp."

Faced with the strange sight in front of him, Dante gulped nervously as he considered his next decision.

To take the stairs or to back off and report what was happening?

Eventually, curiosity won over cowardice and Dante decided to step onto the stairs, besides this was still within the Hidden Dragon Academy so Dante doubted whether it would be something truly harmful.

Not wanting to waste any more time, Dante finally set foot onto the staircase.

The instant Dante put his food down he felt a sudden wait press down on his shoulders.

'The mountain of will? No, its slightly different

If the mountain of will was a weight pressed down on his mind and soul, this weight was solely applied to his body.

Knowing this, Dante calmed down as he continued his journey.

Step after step, Dante ascended the staircase as he felt the pressure on his body drastically increasing.

Eventually, Dante felt the strain on his physical body too much to endure and moved his spirit energy to support him when he suddenly found a shocking fact.

He was unable to use spirit energy!

Well, more accurately, whatever strange formation was pressing weight around down on his body was also stopping him from utilising his spirit energy.

The second Dante realised this his face contorted into an ugly grimace.

Using spirit energy to reinforce your body and attacks was a fundamental application of spirit energy, without that the bodies of those in the Martial Journeyman realm were not too different from those in the body tempering realm, that was unless someone specifically racticed body refining arts.

Dante's body was already much weaker than the norm, after unlocking his first Dragon soul and obtaining Draconic strength this was fixed to the point he began to match others. After he unlocked his second and third dragon souls his strength was far beyond that of other cultivators at his level but even with this Dangte knew that it wouldn't be enough to climb the stairs alone

Judging from intensity Dant knew that climbing the stairs would require you to be somewhat accomplished in Body refining techniques, and if Dantes judgement was correct these techniques would have to at least be gold-level techniques.

With all these facts put together, Dante started to guess what type of place this was.
