"But if someone is deliberately spreading the news, i can't think of anyone who would deliberately do such a thing….. Oh wait! There is one such person!"

Suddenly the image of a timid and hunched middle aged man came into mind.

'Karther Baleview.' thought Dante

As his first official lackey Dante thought that it would be appropriate to inform him of his situation and battle with the Corpse Master but he never thought that it would develop to this extent.

'But what does he have to gain from all this?' thought Dante as he drifted into thought stroking his non existent beard

That was when Dante had a realisation and a thought flashed across his mind.

'So that's what he's after thought' Dante wit a wide smirk

'I always thought that Karther was a man with limited talent and schemes or else why would he still be struggling over his inheritance with that trash brother of his but seeing things like this leaves my wondering'

'Maybe that lacklustre middle aged man has more to him than meets the eye…'

…..

Several minutes passed, travelling through the streets of the capital before Dante and Rebecca finally reached the place of residence.

Klent and Lennox had already gotten off and made their ways to their own homes. It only left Dante, Rebeccca and the two boys before they got off at Dante's residence.

As soon as the two boys got off of the carriage they were left stricken with awe. They had never seen such a luxurious place in their lives.

"Sir..Sir Dante" mumbled Hans nervously

"Are you sure it's okay for us to live here?" asked Hans

Hearing this question, Dante just chuckled as he ruffled the boys hair

"You swore to serve me, did you not?"asked Dante

"If you are true in what you say about serving me in the future then you should quickly get used to this as you will only go to places grander than this in the future!"

As the boys heard Date's words their eyes seemed to sparkle with wonder.

Seeing this sight Dante just smiled as he turned towards Rebecca

"Rebecca, show the boys around the place and give them the highest level of access around the manor, only below the level of us and grandpa. Oh. and don't forget to pick out some high level spirit equipment from the storage while your here"

As Dante spoke the boys could barely stop their bodies from shaking from excitement as they turned to look at Rebecca with a pit of pleading eyes. Unfortunately for Rebecca she had always been weak to the pleas of children so the very moment she met eyes with the two young boys her fate was basically sealed.

She could only sigh helplessly as she eventually took the boys around much to their delight.

Dante who was watching at the side just chuckled as he headed in the complete opposite direction of the three of them.

Although it  would have  been fun to accompany Rebecca and the boys on their first tour of the mansion, Dante knew that if all his assumptions were correct it wouldn't be much longer till a familiar face would show up before him.

"Now all that's left is to wait for him I guess." Said Dante as a slightly amused smirk appeared on his face as he began walking towards the main hall.

...

Nearly 20 minutes later, Dante could be seen sitting again in his lavishly coated jewel throne as piles of treasures he had gained from subjugating the bandits laid sprawled before him, much to the delight of his greedy Draconic nature.

As Dante was admiring his collection of treasures for nearly the hundredth time he suddenly heard the gates of the main hall creak as a familiar middle aged figure walked in.

"Greetings to the hero of the Vaenam kingdom, the legend of the people, the glorious Dragon son of war! The-"

But before the man could continue his empty praises he was rudely interrupted by Dante's cold voice.

"That's enough Karther."

"Gulp!"

Somehow, despite having spent a considerable amount of time with Dante, Karther couldn't get used to the man's inhuman aura.

Normally these kinds of things get better to deal with the more time you spend with a person, the more familiar and bearable their aura should become.  Yet strangely enough when it came to Dante after his trip to subjugate his bandits, his aura only became worse.

Karther couldn't help but look up towards Dante's eyes and the second he did he was instantly filled with regret.

The second their eyes met, Karther could have sworn that he saw Dante's eyes flicker like green flames as an unparalleled aura of death wrapped around his body making it hard for him to even breathe.

If Karther had to describe it he would say it was the feeling of being trapped and slowly crushed  within the giant claws of a beast!

Fortunately, before Karther truly became crushed the green light from Dante's eyes quickly died down allowing Karther to breathe yet again. It's just that unfortunately for Karther he wasn't truly out of the woods yet.

"It's been over 30 minutes since I arrived in the capital and stepped foot in my residence." Said Dante.

"You're late Karther."

It was just a simple three words but for Karther it felt like the world around him had come crashing down.

"Forgive me for my negligence, my lord! It's just that there have been many things to deal with of late that my schedule and information had been awfully cluttered, not allowing me to realise your arrival until now.."

As Dante heard this a chilling smile appeared on his face."

"Indeed. I do expect you and your people to have a lot of things to deal with, especially now when you consider the rumours spreading around the capital."

The second Karther heard Dante's words his body lightly shook.

"Now tell me this Karther." Asked Dante
