I Have Seven Dragon Souls In a cultivation world

229 Chapter 229: Klent's Realisation

With Man's horrific appearance and the strange smile on the man's face, Hans started feeling less and less like he was dealing with another man and more like he was dealing with the devil!

But even with this harrowing realisation, Hans didn't back down.

Deal with the devil? What does it matter!?

All those times he and his village prayed to their gods and ancestors, when they were truly needed, none were to be found.

If the devil was the one who would give him strength then Hans would accept it no matter the cost.

With a strengthened resolve, Hans took a deep breath in before he replied.

"Of you can truly provide me with strength then I don't care, I'm willing to pay anything! My life, my future, even my soul it doesn't matter!"

Seeing the kid's desperation, Dante just chuckled.

"Boy, for this power, I don't want any of those things from you. I just want the one thing," said Dante

"Your loyalty."

As soon as Dante said this Hans seemed to realise something.

Hans wasn't a child anymore.

At the age of 14, he was much more mature than his best friend Clay and by this world's standard could even be considered a young adult.

Without hesitation, Hans dropped to one knee, ignoring the chains of his hands, and spoke.

"If you can truly provide the strength I desire then I swear that I, Hans, will serve the Young Lord until death!"

Seeing this, Dante just chuckled as he placed his hand on Hans's shoulder.

Without even realising it, Hans found that the chains used to wrap around his hands instantly shattered onto the ground.

"Your loyalty is not misplaced boy. Today I will show you the power that you can achieve through me."

Without saying anymore, all of Dante's wings flared as he should into the sky l, with both Hans and Rebecca in his grasp

On the outside of the bandit fortress, the battle between the bandit camp and was still raging on.

Bandits, undead and Dante's soldiers all clashed in a giant slugfest with gifted raging around each party as each one vied for supremacy.

It's just that from the looks of things it was clear to see that Dante's forces weren't faring well.

From the moment that Rebecca went berserk and bandits charged out from the fortress, they had slowly been forced back.

Although this situation was bad, no one could have prepared them for what happened next.

At some point, the undead creatures had gone berserk attacking anything in sight that seemed to be an opponent for them as they crazily lashed out

At that time, Klent had been forced to throw away his disguise as a regular soldier and fully displayed his strength of the peak Martial Novice realm.

In this way, he was able to join in with the various generals in holding off the attacking Martial Journeyman realm bandits!

In the current moment, Klent was going all out in a battle with two Martial Journeyman bandits and an undead warrior.

His strength was impressive enough that

By going all out Klent was able to contend against all three enemies but by doing this Klent was also slowly drawing near his limit.

Facing three enemies at once used a ridiculous amount of concentration at all times. One mistake was enough to not just cost him the fight, but even his very life!

'Boy. let me take over. You can't last for much longer.'

As soon as Klent heard the voice of Swordmaster Rho in his head, he just scowled as he swung his sword down with an even fierce intensity.

Suddenly a burst of sword energy shot out around Klent, allowing him a brief chance to back away from the encirclement of his three enemies.

Klent's cold eyes glared at his enemies as he desperately tried to recover his energy through his  ragged breaths

But even with this rather bad situation, he still ignored Swordmaster rho's requests to take over.

Unless he was literally at death's door, he wouldn't easily surrender control to Swordmaster Rho.

This wasn't just about his stubbornness or pride.

It was about growth.

Ever since he had been relying on Swordmaster Rho for his tough fights, Klent had felt like his growth had been greatly slowing down.

Klent didn't forget how he first broke through his 3-year bottleneck. It all started with his fight with Dante.

Battle! That was the way Klent grew. Even Swordmaster Rho realised this and that's why he joined the Department of war in the first place.

Even right now, Klent could slowly feel the bottleneck of the peak Martial Novice realm slowly loosening.

With the effects of battle so obvious, Klent would be a fool if he continued to rely on Swordmaster Rho.

With these thoughts in mind, Klents figure blurred as countless after images of him appeared charging at the bandits from all directions.

'Phantom ghost steps!'

"Bang!"

Klent's glowing blade smashed into the first bandit sending him stumbling backwards. But before he could land the follow-up blow a crazed undead warrior lunged at his back.

"Buzz!"

Quickly, a terrifying sword hum sounded out from his sword as countered the attack.

But even with this, he wasn't able to completely avoid the undead creature's crazed lunge a scratch appeared on his arm.

Furious at receiving such a wound, Klent's sword burst into a dazzling show of silver light but before he could move, a devastating roar shook the battlefield

"ROAR!"

In an instant, the entire battlefield froze as they all recoiled from such a devastating sound.

Before they could even recover, they heard a cold voice in their ears

"Domain of Death."

In an instant, a sickly green aura spread out over the battlefield.

Seeing this, the bandits and soldiers desperately retreated, trying to avoid such an ominous wave. But as soon as they were covered, they realised it didn't affect them. Instead, this time, it was the undead creatures who suffered.
