I Have a Safari Park

Chapter 111 Blue Sheep and Sika Deer

Fang Ye continued to think about other animals to be introduced.

Since there are red pandas, raccoons can also introduce a wave. These little guys not only look funny, but also behave very interestingly. They will wash their food by the water. It also allows tourists to better distinguish the difference between a red panda and a raccoon.

And then there's the Predator Promenade!

Lions, leopards, bears, these kinds of beasts are definitely going to be dealt with.

There is only one kind of macaque in the world of monkeys, Yunnan snub-nosed monkey, ring-tailed lemur, chimpanzee...

Reptiles, crocodiles, snakes...

But Green Leaf Coin seems to be a little insufficient.

After the Tropical Rainforest Bird Pavilion and basic buildings are completed, there are more than 40 watts of green leaf coins left. If one exhibition hall is 3,000 square meters and 6-8w, only 5 or 6 large exhibition halls can be built, or several large exhibition halls can be changed into It has become some medium-sized and small exhibition halls, and now the zoo is expanding, of course, it is impossible to build only exhibition halls, but also consider new rest service areas, roads, and greening!

The macaque exhibition area is still pit-style. With the increase of tourists, it is not conducive to conservation education and publicity. It must be rebuilt. With the addition of the red fox mixed breeding area, these two exhibition areas have been determined, and there is probably another predator corridor. Ferocious beast, come to a crocodile pool in the crawling area, and see what else can be built with the remaining green leaf coins.

So Fang Ye first started to design the mixed breeding exhibition area!

The location is behind the Tropical Rainforest Bird Museum, on the left side of the visiting loop, opposite the Predator Promenade.

On the left is a small hill, this hill is for the red fox to live in! In order to avoid conflicts between sika deer, there are relatively few plants on the mountain, but there are still some, and it is necessary to provide shelter for the red fox.

A large rock on a sunny hillside will be very safe as the entrance to the cave. A few sparse bushes, and some large trees are sparsely planted on the hillside.

The red fox's animal house is located at the rear, so that every time the red fox goes to explore the exhibition area, it comes out of this place and is most familiar with it. When other animals are frightened, they will run back and wait for a while. It will be a safe place to live here.

The right side of the exhibition area is the territory of the sika deer. The vegetation here is relatively dense, with green grass, vigorous shrubs and trees. However, the plants in the ungulate exhibit require special consideration, as these animals eat trees! Maybe the tree will eat bald after a while.

Therefore, the tree species can choose hawthorn trees with thorns and a bitter taste, so that animals will not eat them casually. Either wrap a metal mesh on the outside of the trunk to prevent gnawing on the bark.

There is also a kind of Benjis pile, in which seeds are sprinkled in the soil, and a pile of dry branches is inserted outside, which looks like a hedgehog ball, so that the leaves of the plant burrow out from the gaps of the dead branches, and the deer can nibble the leaves. However, it can also play a protective role if the rhizomes inside cannot be eaten. However, there is no such thing as a Benjers pile in the construction interface, and it can only be placed after the exhibition area is built.

Hoofed animals need a certain privacy space, and it is also necessary to set up some one-meter-high wooden fences or earth walls in the exhibition area to provide visual barriers and reduce conflicts between individuals.

Because it is also mixed with red foxes, you can get some fallen tree trunks, and the red foxes can slip through the gaps under the tree trunks.

The rear is the territory of blue sheep. In fact, compared with blue sheep, Fang Ye wants to raise some Chinese serows.

Most of the people may have never heard of this name, but it is familiar to everyone when it comes to its nickname "Four Dislikes". The so-called horns like a deer are not deer, hooves like a cow but not a cow, head like a sheep but not a sheep, tail like a donkey but not a donkey. Including reindeer, elk, and moose also meet this feature, and they are all called four dislikes.

Chinese serows are similar to blue sheep. They are very good at jumping between cliffs and rocks. They mainly live in mixed broad-leaved forests, coniferous forests and rocky mixed shrub forests. Compared with alpine blue sheep, they are more in forests. It is more in line with the theme of "Elves in the Forest".

However, Chinese serows are very "nervous" and have a strong stress response. They often hit their heads against the wall and attack the keepers when they get angry. It is very difficult to keep them in zoos, so there are not many zoos in China, and the number is very small. Disaster.

It is more difficult to mix with other animals. If it is put into mixed breeding, it may fight with other animals, and whoever gets hurt will be in trouble.

If you want to raise serows, you need to provide them with a very quiet space that is not easy to be disturbed, so Fang Ye chose blue sheep instead.

The habitat of blue sheep is generally close to bare rocks or cliffs, which can easily escape the pursuit of predators.

Their best skill is rock climbing. Of course, there is a rocky mountain here, and the rocky mountain as a background is also very beautiful. Pieces of gray-brown huge rocks are unevenly built, and the blue sheep can climb up by stepping on the gaps and bulges between the stones.

The stone mountain as a whole is a rectangular and wide wall, with a maximum height of 15 meters. It is divided into roughly front and rear upper and lower layers, which is somewhat similar to the Tower of Hanoi. There is a certain platform between each layer as a stopping space. The higher the upper layer, the more inclined it is , the more narrow the stopping place.

The last floor is almost inclined at 70 degrees, and there are two or three meters wide fissures in the middle.

A small lake of 300 square meters is placed in the middle of the exhibition area, so that the animals have the opportunity to meet by the lake. The red fox, sika deer and blue sheep drink water in different directions and observe each other. It is a picturesque scene.

Distribute a few sheds. The sheds can provide shelter for the animals that have been displayed outdoors for a long time. When it is raining, windy, high temperature and sunshine, the animals can enter the sheds to rest, and the forage is hung under the sheds, which is not easy to be caught. Wet and mildew, hard ground with broken pebbles can provide opportunities for sika deer to wear their hooves. The blue sheep already has a large rock wall to grind their hooves.

On the visitor side, there is a section of dry trench barrier, and some fallen tree trunks and rocks are placed on the steep slope to form a warning belt, which can be seen from a distance, so as to prevent animals from running fast and rushing in.

A gentle slope channel is set on the side to allow animals to come out. Herbivores instinctively want to maintain an open field of vision and do not like to enter low-lying slopes, so there is no need to worry about them going down the slope.

The bottom is laid with gravel, and the weeds are usually cleaned up, and animals are not interested in staying below.

Tourists visit the spot above the trench, just put a section of shrubs and guardrails. The visit point in the middle is facing the lake and the magnificent rock wall behind it. It has the widest field of vision, and the line of sight is transparent. You can directly see the animals drinking water by the lake and the blue sheep leaping on the mountain wall.

Walls that mimic natural forms are mixed with trench barrier viewing surfaces, and no glass curtain wall is required.

Put some more signs along the way to introduce these animals, and the mixed breeding exhibition area is complete.

The raccoon exhibition area is a relatively simple exhibition area. One or two hundred square meters of space is enough. The small animal exhibition area is smaller, which allows visitors to observe more carefully.

Plant some shrubs, a few small trees, and build a few perches inside. Raccoons are also very good at climbing trees and build their nests in trees. They like to live in places with many holes near the water source, avoiding open and difficult habitats for climbing trees, so that they can climb trees to avoid danger when they encounter danger.

The main thing is that there is a ten square pool, which gives the raccoon a chance to show the wonderful behavior of washing food.
