I Have a Research Support System

Chapter 254 What kind of work efficiency is this? (seeking subscription)

In the next few days, Xu Qiu prepared a batch of devices on average every day, and took the time to test the data of atomic force microscope AFM, differential scanning calorimeter DSC, CELIV, and SCLC, and drew the latest bright state/dark state J-V curves, EQE curve.

At around four o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, Wu Feifei received a WeChat call from Teacher Wei.

Wei Xingsi said that his communication and reporting abroad went very smoothly. He returned to Shanghai on Friday afternoon and held a group meeting on Sunday, at which time he will check everyone's work progress.

After everyone in the office got the news, they started to act one after another, and their work efficiency increased by an average of 1%-50%.

Tian Qing is that 50%. Judging by her appearance, she has the feeling that the vacation is coming to an end, but the winter vacation homework has not yet started to write.

And Xu Qiu is naturally that 1%, he is still very calm, because the recent experiments and articles are progressing relatively smoothly.

As for the improvement of work efficiency, it is purely infected by the energetic work status of other people.

After Xu Qiu finished testing a batch of devices prepared today, he began to take stock of the gains of the past few days:

The third-generation 8 series and the second-generation B4T series 3D-PDI system, in addition to the GIWAXS light source test, other characterization data are complete, and the highest efficiency of the two devices has been optimized by him to 8.38% and 7.25%, respectively.

Strictly speaking, this is not an optimization, but simply repeating experiments according to the optimal experimental conditions.

Top journals like NC have very high data repeatability requirements, and at least five batches of different batches of devices have to be repeated.

For other researchers, repeating experiments many times also has the idea of making the efficiency break through a new high, so many research groups will repeat the preparation of ten batches, or even twenty batches of devices.

But Xu Qiu is different. He has already seen the efficiency boundary based on the two systems in advance in the simulation laboratory II - the highest value is 8.42%, which is the result of hundreds of repetitions.

Now only four batches of devices have been made, and it can reach 8.38%. Xu Qiu is already very satisfied.

Therefore, Xu Qiu plans to follow the minimum standard, and evaporate another batch of devices tomorrow, so that five batches of different batches of devices can be obtained to meet the minimum requirements.

An average batch of devices is made of five pieces, and each piece has six independent batteries with an area of 0.09 square centimeters. Even if there are individual abnormal sample points that need to be discarded, there are more than 20 different battery devices and more than 100 data conservatively. Points are available, and the amount of data is not small.

In his spare time doing experiments, Xu Qiu is also simultaneously processing experimental data, drawing charts, and writing articles.

Up to now, the experimental description part of the article has been completed, including the GIWAXS test data that has not yet been obtained. Xu Qiu also guessed a rough result first, and wrote it in the article. He only needs to go to the magic city light source test next week for verification .

Naturally, he did not guess the results of GIWAXS, but obtained them through deduction based on the correlation between various experimental data.

In the results of DSC, 3D-PDI molecules do not have obvious crystallization peaks, which shows that compared with simple PDI molecules, the crystallinity of 3D-PDI molecules is significantly suppressed; and TEM and AFM image data show that there is no crystallinity in the effective layer film. The obvious PDI aggregation phase also supports the conclusion of the DSC results; based on the results of DSC, TEM, and AFM, it can be reasonably inferred that there will not be a very obvious receptor crystallization signal in the GIWAXS results, otherwise it will be inconsistent up.

Of course, since it is an inference and inference, there is also the possibility of problems.

For example, in case the test results of GIWAXS are really inconsistent with other characterization methods.

In such a situation, it is possible that a new experimental phenomenon has been discovered, which will overturn some existing theoretical structures, but this probability...is so small that it can be ignored.

The greater possibility is that there are problems in sample preparation, test methods or other places, which lead to distortion of experimental results.

What is the specific reason, it can only be investigated slowly.

In the evening, Chen Wanqing and Han Jiaying took the 8:30 school bus from Zhangjiang back to Handan Campus and came to Caiyi 216.

After entering the door, the senior sister took out a garbage bag from her backpack, which contained several glass bottles, and walked towards the inner laboratory with the garbage bag.

Han Jiaying glanced at Wu Feifei, who was writing a review with headphones on, and walked to sit next to Xu Qiu without disturbing her.

Except for Wu Feifei and Xu Qiu who were in the office, everyone else in the room was doing experiments in the laboratory. Seeing this, Han Jiaying couldn't help asking, "What happened to them today?"

The school girl glanced at the time, and added: "It's past nine o'clock now."

"Teacher Wei will come back tomorrow afternoon, and the group meeting will be held on Sunday." Xu Qiu simply explained.

"So that's how it is." Han Jiaying understood in seconds that she was not well informed in Zhangjiang, and Teacher Wei hadn't contacted her or Chen Wanqing this week, and the progress of the experiment in the organic field was reported by Xu Qiu on his behalf.

"Where's the product, haven't you finished synthesizing it?" Xu Qiu asked casually when he saw the junior girl coming back empty-handed.

"It's still early, and we've only reached the fourth step of reaction now," Han Jiaying spread her hands, "The molecular synthesis path of the third-generation B4T-5/6/8 series is too long, and it will definitely not be completed this week."

"That's true." Xu Qiu nodded, and then thought about it. In addition to experiments, the junior girl also has to explore microwave reactors and write articles. In addition, she has to take two courses a week, one It's still "Material Preparation and Processing" by Zhou Mathematics, and the work pressure is really not small.

Thinking of this, Xu Qiu looked at her head with some concern. According to his observation, the school girl's hairline had moved back a few tenths of a millimeter.

Such a beautiful girl will not be bald at an early age.

Han Jiaying was a little baffled by Xu Qiu, always feeling that he was thinking of something weird, but there was no evidence.

She paused and asked, "Brother, how is the article going?"

"The progress is not bad." Xu Qiu was sorting out and reviewing the five pictures used in the article on the computer at this time. After all, pictures are the facade of an article, and there should be no mistakes.

The specific method is to drag the picture drawn from CHEMDRAW and ORIGIN software directly to the PPT for saving, so that if you need to modify the picture in the future, you can directly double-click the picture from the PPT, and it will be automatically hyperlinked to the relevant software Make modifications, and the modification results will also be synchronized in the PPT, and then saved as a picture in BMP format, and the original picture can be replaced by cutting off the white edges.

Xu Qiu looked at the task bar at the bottom of the computer screen, and found that the WORD draft file of the article had not been closed, so he switched directly to the WORD document, slid the mouse wheel to show the school girl his work progress in the past few days, and introduced:

"In addition to the light source, the data processing, drawing, and description of the text of other experimental characterizations have been completed, and the introduction is about half written, and the abstract, conclusion, experimental details, references, and supporting information are still missing."

"So fast!" Han Jiaying exclaimed. If the article has been written to this extent, it is more than half completed.

The junior girl recalled her progress. She started writing this Monday, and it took one less Sunday than Xu Qiu, but now the total progress of the article is only about 20%. The case where she processed a part of the data.

You must know that she hasn't fished these days, she writes articles whenever she has free time, even on the school bus back and forth, she is conceiving the framework of the article.

I still remember last Sunday, when the senior brother said that this article had a chance to hit AM, she immediately ignited her fighting spirit.

A few days later, the senior brother told her that he had broken the world record of the PDI system, with an efficiency of 8.3%. At that time, she was not very surprised, as if it was taken for granted.

Now, after five days, the brother made five batches of devices, added four or five experiments, almost completed the data, and even wrote half of the article.

What kind of work efficiency is this? Meow meow meow?

She has always wanted to catch up with her senior brother, but now it seems that the gap is still quite large, and she is just a rookie.

Xu Qiu didn't hear anything from the junior girl for a while, so she turned her head to look curiously, and found that the junior girl's expression was constantly changing, so she shook her hand in front of her, "What are you thinking?"

"Ah, it's nothing..." Han Jiaying quickly changed the subject, "Brother, how can I write articles so that I can get up quickly."

Naturally, Xu Qiu knew the method. It was nothing more than writing more and reading more. Practice makes perfect, but this was obviously not the answer that the school girl wanted to hear.

He thought for a while, gestured with both hands and said, "First this...then this...the last one, is learning useless?"

"It's useless, it's useless." Han Jiaying leaned back in the chair, tilted her head, and made a "spoiled" look.

At this time, Chen Wanqing came out from the inner laboratory, looked at the two people who were playing around, and said actively:

"My CH3 has been synthesized, about thirty milligrams, and it's in my Lockbox in the glove box."

"Well," Xu Qiu casually said concerned: "Sister, you didn't encounter any danger when you used malononitrile."

"There's no danger, it's just that it didn't go well at the beginning of the reaction," Chen Wanqing sighed lightly, "I failed twice when applying the cyano group, and there was no product until the third time. Fortunately, I saved some The inventory of the formylated D unit, otherwise it is estimated that the final product will not be available this week."

"At least the result is good," Xu Qiu comforted, and then said, "I'll help you make the device tomorrow."

"Okay," Chen Wanqing said with a smile, "Then I will do some basic characterization tomorrow, and then send the samples for NMR and elemental analysis."

Xu Qiu suddenly suggested: "Senior sister, do you want to consider changing the name of your molecules? Before, C1 and C4 were fine, but now they start with CH. C and H are easily misunderstood to refer to carbon and Hydrogen, if you want to put it in the article later, it will definitely be inconvenient."

"I also discovered this problem," Chen Wanqing stuck out her tongue in embarrassment, "I didn't pay attention to CH1 and CH2 at the beginning, now when I look at my CH3, it feels like I'm looking at a methyl group, and if there is CH4 later , turned into methane again..." At the end, the senior couldn't help laughing, and asked, "Do you have any suggestions?"

"I think it can be named directly by the D and A structural units of the A-D-A molecule," Xu Qiu said his previous naming method, listing: "CH1 can be renamed F8-IN, CH2 can be renamed IDT-IN, CH3 can be renamed IDT-ICIN."

"This is a relatively common naming method in the world." Chen Wanqing nodded, "Actually, I still prefer simple naming, but it's really not appropriate to use CH. It's a pity for my surname."

The senior thought for a while, then shook her head and said, "I can't think of a better naming method for the time being, so let's name it according to your method first."

"Okay." Xu Qiu was noncommittal.

At ten o'clock in the evening, the lights in the laboratory were still brightly lit, and the people inside still didn't appear to come out.

Sun Wo was testing the device in the evaporation glove box, Tian Qing was squatting busy in front of the CELIV instrument, and Duan Yun's thermoelectric instrument was also in operation.

Among them, Sun Wo is a special one. It is not the reason why he is so busy paddling, but because he gave up the glove box to Xu Qiu.

Xu Qiu walked into the laboratory and greeted them with a smile, copied the IDT-ICIN product of the senior sister to the simulation laboratory II, and handed it over to the simulation experimenters to explore the device performance.

Afterwards, he and his junior returned to the dormitory together.
