I Hate Systems

458 I’m A Transmigrator

"If we stay our hand, then…" Xuer asked hesitantly, "What will happen?"

"I and Chenger would fight Compass Carburettor." Warktor said casually, "Either we win or he kills us. Then, the rest of the Systems would target him next until either side is wiped out. As simple as that."

"You're not concerned about your death?" Bunuela asked in surprise.

"Why would I be? This isn't the first time I died." Warktor raised his brows like he heard something funny, "Even if I'm killed here, I'll just revive a decade later. So, it's not a big deal. And even if I am killed here, as long as I deal a critical blow to Compass Carburettor, then I've won. Straxia would finish the job."

"The…Soul Rendering Evil Spirit?" Bunuela shuddered for some reason.

"That's a pretty apt title for her." Warktor laughed, "I would love to see her expression when she hears the title coined by Compass Carburettor. It seems fun."

"Anyways," He shrugged, finishing his fusion, dusting his hand as he waved his hand, watching his disciple disappear, commenting, "Such a cute fella that child is."

He then saw the island being covered by the mist, smiling, "It seems Chenger has taken action. Well, I'll leave you guys be. We're from different worlds, so let's not interact, shall we?"

Swoosh!

Suddenly, a beam of light slammed towards him, causing him to evade as Warktor turned around, eyebrows raised in curiosity, gazing at Ranze, "It seems you wish to fight."

"Suppose the both of you are killed here, what will the Systems do?" Ranze said, slowly emitting killing intent, "Wouldn't they invade the Gaider Realm with the armies they've been raising in the other Realms?"

"Hmm, you're smarter than what's the norm for your age." Warktor squinted as his presence rumbled for a moment before subsiding as a faint smile formed on his lips, "I see…"

"You're not from this world, are you?"

"What?" Xuer was shocked as she looked at Ranze, horrified.

Bunuela almost failed her fusion, involuntarily retreating, erecting some distance between her and Ranze as she looked at him, raising her guard.

"Yeah, I'm not." Ranze said, smiling as he spoke, "But, I'm not like you. You've barged into this world, uninvited."

"But as for me, the rulers of this world personally brought me here," Ranze said, noticing Warktor's expression flinch for a moment.

Warktor then gazed at Xuer and Bunuela, noticing the sharp contrast in their expression. Bunuela looked at Ranze like he too could be an Evil Spirit.

As for Xuer though, after her initial shock, she calmed down upon seeing that Ranze was calm. After that, she silently stood beside him, expressing her stance on the matter, whispering to him, "You'll explain later, right?"

"Of course." Ranze smiled, "But only to you though."

"I'm glad." Xuer laughed heartily, finishing her fusion as she digested her gains, slowly trailing her gaze onto Warktor, preparing for battle.

She then gazed at Bunuela, "Why are you reacting to every word he's uttering? Didn't your grandfather tell you otherwise?"

Bunuela flinched before sighing as she massaged her forehead, calming herself down before gazing at Warktor, "You…you're good at influencing others through your words."

"Well yeah, I'm over a thousand years after all." Warktor smiled, "I can pretty much see through the lot of you. Though, I wasn't aiming to lead you on or anything. I just simply laid down the facts."

"Because, our situation is pretty similar." He said in all seriousness.

"Similar?" Bunuela asked immediately before shutting up, controlling herself.

"My family is held hostage by the Systems. That's why I'm forced to obey their will and hunt Compass Carburettor. If we fail, my world would be in danger." He smiled helplessly, slowly raising his hands, "So, I request the three of you. Just don't interfere in our fight. I promise on my name that we'll not involve any innocents in our fight."

"We'll drive Compass Carburettor out of the Gaider Realm and fight somewhere else, away from all people."

"Then, show me proof." Ranze said, "Proof that you're able to kill Compass Carburettor. We don't wish to offend either side."

"As long as you don't interfere, we'll definitely kill him," Warktor promised as he turned around, beginning to walk away as the density of the mist around them continued to increase.

But, right as he took a step forward, Warktor's senses went haywire as he noticed his luck beginning to tremble in response. His expression collapsed as a spinning disc manifested behind him, defending against the attack, "Then, don't blame me for being ruthless."

"That was my line." Ranze smiled, glaring at Bunuela once, "I'll explain later. For now, give it your all to kill him."

Of course, until now, he was just buying time until Xuer and Bunuela had adjusted to their cultivation bases after fusing with their respective materials. After all, it wasn't like he had just one source of information about Systems.

His Divine Martial Spirit too was privy to that info. And, its level of information was even more detailed than Compass Carburettor, allowing Ranze to understand that the Systems were slowly eating into their Realm by digesting their Martial Spirits in order to give birth to a System that worked no different to the Divine Martial Spirits.

The moment that happened was when their Realm fully fell under the control of the System World and turned into nothing more than a Mental Energy farm where the Systems of this genre competed against.

As for himself, this was the place he called his home. And there was no way he would allow these Systems to run amok.

After all, following Compass Carburettor's death, the Restriction Order would be lifted and more Systems would descend nonstop. And, System Hosts were broken characters that didn't conform to the norm. They would pretty much destroy the power system of the world itself thanks to their shenanigans.

So, only by working with Compass Carburettor would he have the possibility to protect his home. He was clear of his objective, 'No matter what, Warktor must be killed here. I can't increase Compass Carburettor's burden anymore.'

'He's been constantly supporting us for the past three years with the best of everything. Being ungrateful is the last thing I wish to be.'
