42 basics of magic

Seated in a circle, Elric used his spell book to cook a piece of the thunder bunny's corpse, and soon a wonderful aroma filled the cave.

*Gulp!*

Smelling this, with a large gulp George drooled as he couldn't wait to pounce on the food.

Similarly to him, Davis and Alvin had the same reaction as their eyes seemed to have turned into food symbols

"Haha you guys calm down, there's more than enough to go around"

With a big smile, Elric couldn't help but laugh at their ravenous appearance

It's just that his laugh resulted in the three of them getting embarrassed.

Hearing the laugh, with a slight blush on their face the three of them promptly looked away from the roasting bunny. Although taking a peek from time to time.

*Cough cough*

Wiping the drool from the corner of his lips, George suddenly coughed gaining everyone's attention

"By the way, young master, what did you mean when you said you'd figured a way out of here?"

Changing the topic George asked Elric with a slightly serious face after all this concerned their survival.

Predictably, as soon as George brought up the topic of escape, Davis and Alvin immediately looked at Elric with expectations in their eyes.

*Ahem!*

"Didn't we agree to get to eat first? I planned to tell you guys when we were done eating, however, since you're so curious I'll tell you right now."

"Here catch!"

Saying this, Elric threw a piece of cooked meat each to the three of them.

"As you guys may have observed, were currently trapped in this cave, on a normal day any normal human in this situation would have no choice but to resign himself to death after all no normal human can move that boulder in front"

Listening to Elric speak, the three of them suddenly became confused, does this mean they have no hope to escape? If so, why did their young master tell them he had a way out?

Soon the more they thought about it the more they felt like Elric was playing a joke on them with that in mind the disappointment became visible on their face.

Fortunately, Elric quickly saw through what they were thinking, however, he didn't correct their thoughts but rather continued speaking with a smile on his face

"However, it seems that you guys are forgetting one crucial aspect"

"You are not normal humans!"

*Boom!"

With an increase in his tone, Elric silently activated the body-strengthening magic creating a cark in the ground.

Contrary to Elric's expectation, the doubt on their face didn't reduce but rather increased.

Just when he was about to continue speaking, Davis suddenly spoke up

"Young master, I understand that magic is powerful and all but I don't think the current magic can break through that boulder"

Hearing Davis say this, George and Alvin nodded in agreement.

"I see, so that's it!"

After hearing their doubts, Elric suddenly understood. If their judgement turned out to be based on their current knowledge of magic it's no wonder they thought so heck even he would not have been have been able to guarantee an escape method with the level of magic before

Thinking back to the information he received from the A.I chip after waking up from the earlier fainting incident Elric let out a satisfied smile

It turns out that from the moment they left freedom town, Elric had already ordered the A.I chip to assign a portion of its computing power to deducing the upward part of the wizard system and fixing its loopholes

Unfortunately back then there was little to no information to help making the time needed for deduction almost incalculable

Fortunately, thanks to the earlier merge with the small world not only did the A.I chips scanning range increase but also it received an all round upgrade. If the A.I chip was on level 1 before now it's on level 10

And due to the level increase, its computing power has drastically increased coupled with the recent experience of combat mode giving it the opportunity to analyse different inscriptions in use, the A.I chip had further enhanced the wizard system.

Shaking his head slightly, Elric faced them with a serious face.

"The three of you, do you know what's the first rule of magic?'

Although there was no such thing as the first rule of magic and he'd just made it up, Elric still asked them with a serious expression expecting an answer.

And as he expected, the three of them were stunned obviously they had never heard of such a thing

Thankfully Elric soon gave them the answer.

"Look around, what do you see?"

Pointing to their surroundings Elric's asked them

"Stones and corpses?"

With an unsure expression Alvin raised his hand answering the question

"Yes corpses, and since you know their corpses, do you know how the flame inscription came about?"

"Buy studying that flame slimes' corpse! Now that there are so many corpses beside us, what makes you think that none of these possess an ability that allows us to escape?'

Hearing Elric say this, suddenly the three of them had a loom of realisation, it turns out that their escape opportunity had always been right in front of them

"However, what if none of these monsters possess the ability to help us escape?"

Asking this although doubtful, Davis still hoped for a way out after all no one likes living in a cave indefinitely.

"And that's where I'm going to"

Ignoring their confusion Elric continued

"The first rule of magic, is when it seems impossible it's up to you to make it possible"

At this time as Elric said this, the small world seemed to tremble slightly unfortunately he didn't notice

"Well before we start anything, it seems the three of you need to be educated on the basics of magic"

Saying this, Elric planned to use this as an opportunity to formally introduce them to the wizarding way and also practise some experiments based on the A.I chips deduction
