Episode 14 – To Glessius Academy (1)

When I arrived in Belsarem, I said a sad goodbye to Serin, promising the next time.

She left Belsarem and returned to the Oak Tree Village, so there was no one I knew in Belsarem anymore.

First of all, I had information that Mr. Justin gave me.

That is, it is approximately one or two days later that the merchant group that arrived in Belsarem departed for Glessius Academy.

A day or two is a long time, but it is also a short time.

If I had come to Belsarem to have fun, I would have had a comfortable time here.

Unfortunately, I did not come to Belsarem to have fun, but to look for a merchant bound for Glesius Academy.

In order not to do the foolish thing of blindly going to a bar and asking for information like last time, I decided to ask questions of people walking on the street.

“Hey, can I ask you just one question?”

I spoke to a man walking down the street.

“Hmm? “What are you, an outsider?”

“Ah, yes. That’s right.”

“What are you curious about?”

“Where should I go to find the upper bound for Glessius Academy?”

Fortunately, he seemed slightly annoyed when I asked the question, but surprisingly answered the question obediently.

“You can meet the merchant departing for Glessius Academy at the north gate on the north side of this city.”

“I understand. Thank you.”

After hearing the man’s explanation that I should go to the north gate to meet the merchant, I walked towards the north gate.

The road to the North Gate was quite smooth, thanks to the signs erected throughout Belsarem.

I feel it now, but even though I don’t know why, I was able to read the writing on the sign.

Thanks to this, I was able to save myself the trouble of asking people where the North Gate was.

After walking for a while, we arrived at the North Gate of Belsarem, where carriages that appeared to belong to the top were lined up in a row.

“Everyone, don’t forget to check your inventory list one last time before you leave tomorrow!”

“Captain! “I’m missing one box of herbs!”

“It’s on a different wagon!”

The sight of people who appeared to be merchants and workers belonging to the upper level moving busily, loading and unloading things into the carriage, was reminiscent of a logistics center where parcels were loaded and unloaded.

I approached a person who seemed relatively relaxed.

It is my opinion without any basis, but it is because there is a high possibility that a person who is relaxed even in this chaotic situation is a high-ranking person at the top.

The clothes looked quite luxurious, and he appeared to be at least a high-ranking executive or owner of the top.

“Excuse me?”

“Oh, I am a guest from the Eastern Continent. “What’s going on with our Bleas Company?”

As expected, I felt like I had come to the right place.

“I would like to accompany the upper class and head to Glesius Academy.”

“hahahahaha. You are someone who wants to go to Glessius Academy. Hey, James!”

“Yes! Lord of the top!”

It seemed that the identity of the man I was asking about was the owner of the top.

When the man named Sangdanju called the name of a man named James, a bald man with a bushy beard ran towards this place.

“What did you call me for?”

“I am a guest who wants to accompany our leader to Glessius Academy.”

“Oh, you were a guest. “Please come this way.”

I headed somewhere with a man named James.

There was a carriage with the number (7) written on it.

“Please write down your brief personal information here. “There are so many strange people these days.”

I accepted the document James handed me.

At the top of the document was written ‘List of customers using Blea’s Company carriage transportation service.’

In creative works, this is usually used to make slave contracts, but I don’t think that’s the case here.

I wrote down my personal information briefly.

The only personal information I could tell was what village I was from and what my name was.

“Good. The fee is seven silver coins. Originally, the cost was five silver coins, but as the number of monsters has increased recently and we have hired more mercenaries to guard, the cost has increased significantly, so please know that we did not set a high price.”

What James said was the same as what Justin said.

The cost has increased slightly due to the increase in the number of monsters, and the increased cost is the seven silver coins he told me about.

I opened my pocket and took out seven silver coins and gave them to his man named James.

Then James handed me a square object made of copper.

“What is this?”

“This is proof that you are a customer who uses our transportation service. “You can come here at eight o’clock tomorrow morning and give it to the driver in charge of carriage number 7.”

So, it’s a kind of ticket.

Maybe it’s because it’s a game world, but strangely modern things can often be found in these areas.

Normally, they would just check, but when I see them even giving something like this, I feel like I am seeing Korean people who were sincere about the system and procedures.

I paid the fee to a man named James and received something similar to a ticket, and then walked around the city of Belsarem.

But I guess this wasn’t a tourist city, so I couldn’t find anything to enjoy.

In this situation, my only choice was to quickly find a place to stay and go to bed early.

The next morning. I ate a decent breakfast at the inn where I stayed and headed out.

They said the top would leave at eight in the morning. The last time I checked the clock at the inn, it was around 7 o’clock.

I moved early on purpose to prevent any misfortune from arriving after the top had departed.

After walking for a while, we arrived at the North Gate and, just like yesterday, there was a crowded area near the North Gate with people about to leave.

I passed the gathered people and carefully walked towards carriage number 7, which I had seen yesterday.

“Why are you a guest?”

As we approached the carriage, a man who appeared to be a coachman was sitting in the driver’s seat, holding the straps connected to the reins of his horse.

“Yes. “Is this the carriage number 7 of the Bleas Company?”

“Oh, that’s right. You are the guest. “Do you have a ticket?”

I took out the item that James had given me yesterday in response to the coachman’s words.

“I’m sure. “Give it to me and get in the carriage.”

I handed the ticket to the coachman and boarded the carriage.

When I got on the carriage, there were people like me who used the upper transportation service.

Because everyone was a stranger, it seemed like they weren’t talking at all.

A little while after getting on the carriage.

“It’s time, let’s go!”

“North gate open! North gate open!”

The carriage began to move with the sound of a man calling for the north gate to be opened.

In a world where suspension and rubber tires had not been developed, the impact of the road through the wheels of the carriage was transmitted directly to the buttocks.

It was the same feeling he felt when he went to the countryside a long time ago and rode the cultivator that his grandfather drove.

Other people also seemed to have suffered a buttock shock, but they did not show any displeasure.

Well, this is probably part of everyday life for people here, so they must all be used to it…….

“Ah, coachman! Drive the carriage straight! “Why is it so shocking?”

“Choose the right path and go!”

…… I guess not. It’s just that this coachman is terrible at driving.

I wanted to agree with what they said, but I didn’t feel the need to do so.

But the Dudonban I rode during my military days was much more comfortable, I guess.

I was finally able to leave for Glesius Academy with that rickety carriage.

◈◇◈◇◈◇◈◇◈◇◈

Around the time when Pathos was leaving Belsarem in a carriage and heading to Glesius Academy.

Serine Ekatos was back in Belsarem again.

She pretended to leave Belsalem in front of Pathos, but in reality she did not leave the city.

Serin was currently at the Belsarem branch of the Black Feather, which was disguised as a superior.

“What brought you here…?” Ah, you are Serin.”

“What about the deputy branch manager?”

“He is inside. “He was waiting for Serin a while ago.”

The reason Serin came here was to meet the deputy director of the Belsarem branch.

Justin, the branch manager of the Belsarem branch, was currently in Oak Tree Village, so he was currently the highest ranking deputy manager.

She carefully opened the door marked ‘Injury Danju Office’ and entered.

“Huh? Is it Serin? Did she just return from a mission?”

“Yes.”

“I was already waiting. Come sit down.”

The deputy branch manager had navy blue hair and green eyes similar to Serin.

However, the only difference between her and hers was that while Serin had short hair, she had long hair that reached down to her waist.

You can tell by the same hair color and the same color eyes, but the two people were related.

There was a nameplate on the desk with the words ‘Injured Dane Cerbona Ekatos’ written on it.

She had something to ask her own relative, Serine Ekatos.

“So, a man named Pathos. How was it?”

That is, the man with mysterious abilities that Serin met.

It was about pathos.
