Even with the Dark Emperor's memories available, Albion couldn't find a single piece of information on such perfect lightning immunity.

In other words, he possessed a supremely unique lightning soul constitution that was even unheard of in the Nine Divine Heavens.

However, Albion didn't understand why he had such a unique soul constitution.

He originally came from a world of science. Things like magic, cultivation, and immortality were just mere fantasies.

That said, he was just an ordinary person in his previous life. Thus, ordinary people like him wouldn't have access to such information even if it did exist.

Nevertheless, the thought aroused Albion's interest.

'I feel like there's a link that connects my past and present,' Albion mused thoughtfully.

Originally, he believed he was just given a second chance to live a proper life. But if that was the case, there didn't seem to be much of a reason for him to transmigrate to an alternate yet magical world.

'There must be a greater power at play here... Whether it's the will of an almighty being or the will of the world itself, there must be some purpose behind my second life... some role I have to fulfill...' Albion guessed.

He was most likely called to this world to achieve something.

However, he didn't know what that was, nor would he get definite answers from speculating on limited knowledge.

The Nine Divine Heavens were vast, but the Netherworld Realm seemed infinitely more vast and filled with mysteries.

"If I want answers, I must learn more about the world," Albion concluded.

Shortly after, he picked up the grimoire-like black book, the Netherworld's Thirty-Three Heavens, and flipped it open for reading.

In that instant, Albion felt a wave of ancientness seeping out of the book.

"Netherworld's Thirty-Three Heavens, huh? To think this is just a copy, one of many spread across the Netherworld Realm," Albion muttered with growing interest.

The book's ancient aura allowed him to catch a small glimpse of the Netherworld Realm's incredibly long history.

It was much longer than Albion could have imagined.

He quickly started to question whether the Netherworld Realm existed much earlier than the present universe.

Unsurprisingly, it didn't take him long to find his answer once he started reading.

Chapter 1: Before Eternity

At the beginning of time, there was nothingness. Then from nothingness came everything. The first chaos, Primal Chaos, was formed. And from Primal Chaos, life was born.

But like the cycle of life and death, Primal Chaos, too, had its expiration date.

Nothing was eternal.

Despite being infinitely vast, Primal Chaos was also finite at the same time. The idea of nothingness meant nothing could exist forever.

Nothingness was the reaper of all existences.

But while nothingness was the end after the beginning, it was also the beginning after the end. The death of one Chaosverse gives life to the new Chaosverse.

It was a perpetual cycle of life and death.

And no life could have existed beyond the death of its Chaosverse—Or at the very least, that was how it should have been.

However, a creator was born.

With the creator's almightly power, the Netherworld Realm was created, and hope was given to all lifeforms—the hope of life beyond the death of one's Chaosverse.

True eternity was achieved.

=====

While reading through the Netherworld's Thirty-Three Heavens book, Albion did not expect to be given a historical introduction to a time that predated the Netherworld Realm.

After all, he was expecting to learn more about the vast thirty-three sectors in the Netherworld Realm, not some unnamed creator.

Even so, his curiosity and interest grew, nonetheless.

"How fascinating," Albion muttered as he digested the information.

According to the Netherworld's Thirty-Three Heavens book, true everlasting life was unreachable in the past.

However, the creator opened the path to everlasting life after the creator became an existence that surpassed his own Chaosverse's level of existence.

Although Albion found it hard to believe such an almighty being existed, he could not help but hope it was true.

The flame of desire to reach the same height as the unnamed creator ignited in his heart.

"If I can reach the same level of existence, I wonder how I would perceive the world?" Albion muttered thoughtfully.

Shortly after, he smiled wryly and shook the thought out of his head.

"I'm getting ahead of myself. If it were so easy to reach such a level of existence, there would have been mentions of other creator-level beings. But, alas, the book only mentioned one such being."

Albion didn't doubt that the path was riddled with trials and tribulations.

If one lacked destiny, talent, and opportunities, wanting to become a creator-level being was just a farfetched dream.

Nevertheless, it was a goal Albion could work towards since he didn't really have any other grand aspirations.

On the off-chance that he managed to become a creator-level being, he could say that he had not lived his second life in vain.

Sometime later, Albion finished reading the Netherworld's Thirty-Three Heavens before he grasped a clearer understanding of the Netherworld Realm.

Albion closed the book with an emotional sigh.

Anyone could have guessed that Netherworld's thirty-three heavens referred to the Netherworld Realm's thirty-three sector.

However, it was only after he finished reading did he truly grasped the vastness of the Netherworld Realm.

"Thirty-three heavens, huh?" Albion uttered with a slightly blank look.

"When a universe or Chaosverse dies, it no longer returns to nothingness. Instead, it enters the Netherworld Realm and becomes a new sector…"

"In other words, it can be said that Netherworld Realm is at least thirty-two chaos cycles old, and thirty-three chaos cycles have passed since the beginning of time…" Albion concluded.

However, this was only true if Primal Chaos was indeed the first Chaosverse created since the beginning of time.

Considering if any Chaosverses existed before Primal Chaos, they would have all been reduced to nothingness, along with all life within them.

Thus, there's no way to prove whether Primal Chaos was actually the first Chaosverse born since the beginning of time or not.

Nevertheless, the truth didn't concern Albion for the time being. After all, he had come to a more important realization.

"All the worldly changes happening back on Earth must be the result of the universe entering its death cycle."

Albion's eyes flickered.
