100 – A New Genre (3)

Aucklia soon becomes a cultural center.

The scribes who visited Aucklea in the early days, including Logan, were convinced of that.

So I quit my job as a scribe with a fairly stable income and settled down in Aucklia.

They looked back at the novels they had written so far and changed the direction of their works to interest-oriented novels.

Of course, there were people who succeeded and people who failed, but fortunately, Logan belonged to the successful group.

I already had the experience of publishing two quality works, but the newly written lady-like work made more money than the manuscript fee I received for the second quality work.

Logan abandoned all of his previous works and focused only on new ones.

When I heard the news that a new work by Bright was coming out, I always read and analyzed it first.

And he did his best to incorporate something contained in that work into his own work.

The more he did, the more decent works came out, and now the story came out that comics were being made with the works he wrote.

But he felt the pen getting heavier, and he soon reached a point where he couldn’t hold it anymore.

This is because Logan’s income from his novels has gradually decreased.

Logan analyzed the cause of his frustration and soon realized his mistake.

His work was treated as an imitation of Bright’s work.

But Logan didn’t feel bitter about it.

I thought it was a natural reaction because it was a work borrowed from Lady’s worldview.

So I did my best not to be covered by the lady’s shadow.

But I ended up hitting a wall.

This phenomenon did not only occur in Logan’s works.

All romance films borrowed from Lady’s worldview were experiencing the same phenomenon.

Logan judged that Lady’s heat had cooled.

If we continue like this, we will starve to death.

Maybe I should quit being a writer and go back to being a scribe.

I just want to avoid that.

Through such thoughts, Logan takes on a new challenge.

I went to the cartoonist guild and cooperated with an artist who had a good painting style but a poor story.

That’s how I got to the point where I started publishing comics in comic magazines.

But he felt that he had eaten too much.

That’s because the contents of the manga magazine were all there.

“Haa….”

Logan let out a deep sigh and opened the door to the bar, entered and sat down at the counter.

He then ordered the fruit wine he normally ordered and let out a long sigh.

That was the moment.

Puffed up.

I heard someone sitting next to me.

Logan glanced at the seat next to him.

There was a man who somehow gave off an aristocratic feel, and a woman who had a strange atmosphere.

‘Are you in love in broad daylight?’

I envy you.

Logan gulped down his drink with a long sigh.

Then the man sitting next to him ordered a drink and let out a long sigh.

“I think manga is a failure.”

“I guess so.”

‘What, you were a cartoonist?’

For some reason, Logan felt familiar.

“Maybe… Did you submit to a manga magazine this time?”

I wanted to tell someone about my frustration.

In response to that impulse, Logan unwittingly spoke to the man next to him.

“… I think it will be difficult to win an award for this.”

You should have been surprised when she suddenly spoke to her, but her man accepted Logan’s words with a wry smile.

Logan drank and continued his story.

“I used to write novels, but this time I decided to try comics.”

“You are also good at drawing.”

“Seventh Tale was written by Bright, right? I decided to imitate it too. What is the result….”

Logan smiled bitterly and drank again.

For some reason, it felt like the alcohol was more bitter than usual.

“Why did I suddenly start reading comics… ?”

The man asked a rather sensitive question.

I wanted to let it go, but it was Logan who spoke first.

So Logan decided to tell the story of his entry into comics.

He was honestly in the mood to confide in someone.

With that in mind, I laid out the things that had happened one by one.

***

“So that’s what happened.”

I thought that when a certain work comes out into the world, there will be excellent works influenced by it.

That actually happened, and Logan was a symbol of it.

But that was half right and half wrong.

On Earth, reading is a fairly inexpensive hobby.

Foreign literature can be borrowed from the library, second-generation works can be borrowed from bookstores, and web novels can be owned at relatively low prices.

From noble mtl dot com

Unless you’re a type addict, he doesn’t spend more than 100,000 won a month.

However, reading is a very expensive hobby in Marais.

So I had no choice but to be very careful when choosing a piece.

Still, there was some demand.

It is natural.

There was an era when books were expensive on Earth, but even in that era, it was common for works that jumped on the trend of the genre to pour out.

However, a different variable than Earth was involved.

ㅡ Does being diligent have its own problems?

That’s me.

Lady is published once every two months.

This was actually a publishing speed that put a lot of pressure on readers’ pockets.

By the way, it was published and even staged as a play.

It didn’t stop there, and now a comic called Seven’s Tale has appeared in Lady Comics.

So, readers who expect my works have started to curb their consumption as much as possible.

As a result, it seems that Logan and other writers have been harmed again.

I felt a bit bitter.

ㅡ You don’t feel sorry?

I don’t know about anyone else, but this is the person who chewed, bit, tasted, and enjoyed me.

Are you just feeling a bit regretful?

ㅡ What are you going to do?

To be honest, this situation is not the direction I want.

I guess I’ll have to try something.

“Maybe I am being punished.”

“A punishment?”

“Yes. It’s a punishment.”

Logan shook the cup of fruit wine with a bitter expression.

“Before I came to Aucklia, I was an artist who had completed two works. I was proud of myself.”

“Oh… You are amazing.”

“hehehe, thank you.”

Logan took another drink and let out a deep sigh.

“Thanks to that, my ego has only grown. Perhaps because the shadow of success kept lingering in front of me, all other works were ruined.”

So while looking for another job, I fell in love with his work and ended up working as a scribe for a nobleman.

Then he came to Ochlia.

“It was a complicated feeling in many ways to come all the way here to transcribe the first novel of a new writer.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes. So um… Frankly, I did something ugly.”

Because I was a noble, I couldn’t openly install it.

Still, he tried to protect his pride by talking behind him.

“Then Lady Volume 2 came out, and after that, the work called ‘Vengeance is Mine’ came out, and big….”

Logan must have had a great taste in things of fortune, and he started talking about things out of the blue.

Anyway, I felt quite drunk.

“Ah, this writer wrote a lady while having the ability to write such a work! Thinking like that made me feel like my eyes were opened.”

So I began to look at Lady from a slightly different perspective.

I wrote a work by borrowing a worldview by analyzing and imitating it.

Then it became quite popular.

But now it’s like this.

“I was punished. hehehe….”

Logan’s deep sigh was heavily scented with alcohol.

It was a very painful feeling.

“This time, writer Bright wrote a new work… Something made me feel relieved while watching it.”

“Yes. I saw it too.”

“Isn’t something great? It made me want to live a life like this….”

“Is that so?”

“Maybe it will be difficult in this life…. If I was born again….”

“Isn’t that a great idea?”

“Yes?”

Logan looked up at me with a bemused expression.

As I looked at Logan, I sighed and smiled.

“Good idea.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Oh, well that’s a good idea?”

As I stressed that over and over again, Logan’s hazy eyes slowly began to focus.

“Good idea… ?”

“How about writing a story about being reborn?”

“Are you born again?”

“How about receiving the gift of a second life from God by living faithfully even though it was a miserable life?”

“Second life… ?”

Logan jumped to his feet.

Then he grabbed my hand and began to lower his head.

“You are my benefactor!”

After shouting, Logan emptied his wallet, calculated the bill for my drink, and ran out of his tavern.

I watched him silently, sighing and smiling.

“Are you okay?”

Angelica was looking in the direction Logan had left with a disapproving expression.

Anyway, I didn’t like the situation that gave the idea to the person who chewed me up.

“You might be sensitive to a problem with a bowl of rice caught, right?”

“My lord….”

Angelica looked at me with a very moved expression.

ㅡ Bean pods are so scary….

Hmm.

I vomited the spirit of writing a novel in 8 days to prevent the genre from becoming fixed.

But that was my limit.

ㅡ So?

I also have a lady and a story about the Seventh Tale.

If uncompensated is added here, there are actually three works that I am involved in.

It’s a pretty tough schedule.

Would you write another work to solve the fixed genre in this state?

That would be virtually impossible.

So why not use what’s available?

ㅡ Isn’t it a waste?

There are so many things to do, so rather than regret, I think it’s a good thing.

I have to deal with Chapter 2 of The Seventh Tale soon.

ㅡ Damn it!

The clues to a new genre of novels and comics have been scattered.

Now let’s get down to business.

The story of Emperor Julius Drugaia, the second greatest warrior.
