Hogwarts Kryptonian

Chapter 2 Knockturn Alley

An eleven-year-old boy carried a cat on his shoulders and a twelve-inch long wooden stick in his waist. He was really eye-catching when he walked on the street, but no one around Lu Yunkai noticed it. There's something wrong with him.

In this way, one person and one cat walked for more than half an hour and entered an alley.

The alley is not wide, and no one can be seen at all.

Lu Yunkai followed Mao's instructions and pushed open the only dilapidated wooden door in the alley.

There was a squeak.

"who??"

The room immediately resounded with an impatient old man's grumbling.

"Come in." The cat jumped off Lu Yunkai's shoulder and walked into the house.

Lu Yunkai followed in.

The moment he stepped through the door, Lu Yunkai had a subtle feeling that he seemed to have crossed a long distance.

Like the dim alley, the room was not very bright. Through the dusty windows that had not been cleaned for a long time, Lu Yunkai vaguely saw the medieval-style spires of the building outside the window...

Right? There is no such building along the way!

What is this place?

"Who did I think you were? Why are you here??"

An old man with gray hair appeared in front of a man and a cat.

That slovenly look made him look even more embarrassed than that scumbag in the beer hall after he got drunk and had a big fight.

"Me? Do you know me?" Lu Yunkai pointed at himself in surprise.

"I'm talking about Chris." The old man pointed at the cat, "Did it bring you here?"

"Meow, tell him that I came to him to ask for Jesse's things." The cat, whom the old man called Chris, said to Lu Yunkai, "He can't understand me."

Lu Yunkai then became a sounding board.

"Jesse's stuff?" The old man pointed to the box that was already covered with dust in the corner of the room. "It's just a broken crystal ball. That thing still takes up space here. Take it away if you want."

"Meow! That is the crystal ball that has ever made the greatest prophecy! You actually said it was broken?"

"The greatest prophecy? The Ministry of Magic didn't include it, and it can't even be counted as a prophecy!" The old man snorted, "Why is this mysterious man the messenger of some underground evil force, and why is it that the Chosen One will wipe them all out in the apocalyptic battle? ...The mysterious people are all dead, where is the apocalyptic battle?"

"Meow?? The mysterious man is dead?" Chris was shocked.

"You still don't know? What have you been doing all these years?" The old man was even more shocked than Chris.

"Meow! It seems Trelawney's things are unreliable!" Chris looked frustrated.

"You said that crystal ball belongs to the Trelawny family?" The old man was intrigued by Chrissy's words. "You want this crystal ball because you want to do divination?"

"Sell it for money, meow! My new owner is poor."

"You took the old master's things and sold them to the new master for use. What a good cat you are!"

"Meow. Who do you think my new master is?" Kris pointed at Lu Yunkai.

Lu Yunkai was stunned.

"Redirected." Chris meowed.

Lu Yunkai could only continue to do so.

"You?" The old man narrowed his eyes and looked at Lu Yunkai.

"What are you talking about? I don't understand a little bit..." Lu Yunkai shook his head a little sarcastically.

"Meow, I'm going to sell the crystal ball." Chris gestured to Lu Yunkai to get the crystal ball.

"You can sell it to anyone you want. Jesse and I are also old friends. I'll just take this crystal ball! How much is it?"

"A thousand gold galleons."

"Why don't you grab it?" The old man smiled absurdly, "A second-hand crystal ball is worth fifteen at most."

"Jesse bought it from Trelawney for five hundred! It's said to be a treasure inherited from Trelawney's family! You can take it out and sell it for three thousand gold galleons in Knockturn Alley."

"Heirloom from Trelawney's family?" Hearing this, the old man was a little moved. "Forget it, just a thousand! Just think of it as a memory of an old friend."

He pulled out a wooden stick about ten inches long, waved it at a box, took out a piece of parchment with text originally written on it, and waved the stick again while mumbling something.

A red mark appeared on the parchment.

The old man handed the parchment to Lu Yunkai and looked at him deeply.

"Meow, ask him for a few galleons in change." Kris glanced at the parchment and called out to the old man again.

"Gringotts has already reopened. Can't you just go and pick it up?" The old man rolled his eyes at Chris.

"I plan to take him to Bojin Bock to search for some second-hand magic items. It will be a hassle to go to Diagon Alley and come back." Chris continued.

"Bojinbok? One thousand gold galleons is not enough for your new master? Do you need to go to that brat to pick up trash?"

"Meow, it will take him seven years to use this thousand gold galleons! He can save some money."

"Here!" The old man was speechless and took out a gold coin from his pocket and handed it to Lu Yunkai.

It's pretty heavy to start with. Lu Yunkai looked at the gold galleons and was a little shocked.

This is real gold!

"Just one? Are you too stingy, meow?" Chris looked disgusted.

"You can enter Warehouse No. 3 with just one gold Galleons. Do you think I don't know?" The old man snorted, "Go away quickly! I get a headache when I see you."

"Meow! Don't sell the crystal ball casually! I will redeem it when I have money!" Chris warned the old man.

"This is called Knockturn Alley, and next to it is Diagon Alley. It is the place where wizards in London come most often."

Coming out of the front door of the unnamed store, Lu Yunkai and Chris were in a dark alley.

"We have arrived at the wizard's gathering place?"

Lu Yunkai looked around. There was something like smoke floating in the air, hazy and very London-like.

"Meow, you can say that." Crouching on the human's shoulder, Chrissy had a bit of a pointer style, "Didn't your admission notice say that you have to buy a lot of things? I don't think there is a better place in London than here. place.”

"Oh. When I have money, I will redeem that crystal ball for you."

"Why?" Chris was stunned by Lu Yunkai's firm statement.

"After all, it was left to you by your previous master..."

"Meow! You can buy that broken crystal ball for twenty gold galleons everywhere. What are you going to do with that wasted money?" Chris looked like she didn't care.

"...Did you lie to him?"

"Meow, it's so lively over there in Diagon Alley! It seems that the mysterious man is really dead!" Chrissy's attention has been diverted to other things.

"Peace is a good thing! Why don't you like it?" Lu Yunkai was a little surprised by the cat's shamelessness. "Where is the Bojinbok you mentioned?"

"You already have a thousand gold galleons, why are you going to Bojinbok?" Chris rolled her eyes at Lu Yunkai.

"It's not that you said you wanted me to ask him for change...you are awesome." Lu Yunkai couldn't hold back and laughed.

Fine! It turns out that the cat thought it was not particularly profitable to sell a crystal ball worth only twenty gold galleons for a thousand gold galleons, so he made up a reason to squeeze out a few more!

This cat is interesting.

"Let's go and see Diagon Alley. I want to see what Diagon Alley looks like now... I really miss it!" Chrissy's head was looking into the distance.

"Let's go to that Bojinbok magic shop!" Lu Yunkai shook his head, "There will be more places to spend money in the future, so save it now if you can!"

"Meow, money is earned, not saved!"

“How can you make money if you don’t know how to save money?”

"...Forget it, let's go. I haven't seen Bo Jinbok in many years. I don't know if he is still alive. I just want to go see an old friend."

Chrissy shook her cat's head, as if she was angry and didn't want to teach him.

In this way, Lu Yunkai, led by Chris, walked around in Kwantai Alley and came to a quite large store.

Pushing the door open, a gloomy atmosphere hit you.

"Welcome! Whose young master is this? Are you here for adventure?"

A greasy middle-aged male voice sounded.

Lu Yunkai felt even more cordial when he heard this: When he opened an aquatic products store, he also talked like this when he was pestering his parents to buy them good-looking or not delicious aquatic products in order to trick his children.

"I'm here to buy magic supplies." Lu Yun answered with a smile: "I need a set of potion bottles, a crucible, a telescope, a brass balance, a robe and a wand..."

"Are you a new student at a magic school? You want to buy these things to go to Diagon Alley! I don't have them here! Where are your adults?" The middle-aged greasy smile disappeared instantly.

"I came here on my own." Lu Yunkai shook his head, "I am relatively poor and can't afford new ones. I heard that you have second-hand ones here..."

"The second-hand goods here are more expensive than new ones." Store owner Bock said patiently: "If you want to save money, you've come to the wrong place."

"Meow! Don't listen to his nonsense! Tell him that you want to go to his warehouse No. 3 to pick out some scraps. A gold galleon ticket."

Chrissy meowed.

Bock looked at the cat on Lu Yunkai's shoulder.

"Is this cat your pet?" Bock's eyes were a little surprised, "I seem to have seen it somewhere..."

"I just need to go to your No. 3 warehouse to pick out some scraps." Lu Yunkai said to Bock with a smile: "It's a Galleons ticket, right?"

As he spoke, he took out the gold galleons the old man gave him and handed it to Bock.

"Whose child are you from??"

Bock's brows knitted together, but he still took the gold Gallon.

He already remembered where he had seen the cat.

But isn’t the owner of this cat already dead? Could this be her child?

Not to mention the wrong age, it is unlikely that she would give birth to a child with black hair and yellow skin and an Oriental appearance, right?

Forget it, no matter whether the child is related to her by blood or not, for the sake of the cat, she won't embarrass him anymore.
