Hogwarts Card Drawer

Chapter 45 Newt Scamander

"I am, sir." Kronos turned his head and saw a middle-aged man with blond curly hair and a thin face. Pinned to his tunic was the gleaming Order of Merlin, Second Class.

There are not many winners of the second-level medal. Kronos couldn't help wondering which winner this was.

"I'm Newt Scamander." The middle-aged man seemed to see Chronos' question and introduced himself.

"Oh, so you are Mr. Scamander!" Chronos said suddenly.

Many people's impression of Newt Scamander may be that his grandson married Luna Lovegood. That weird girl from Ravenclaw house.

In fact, Newt Scamander is still a famous British magizoologist and the author of the book "Where and Where to Find Fantastic Beasts", which later became a textbook for the protection of magical creatures at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

In 1947, he established the Werewolf Registry almost by himself, and Lupine was able to be hired by Dumbledore as a professor at Hogwarts, which is also partly due to him.

Still, he said he was most proud of the 1965 ban on feeding for experimental purposes.

This prohibition effectively curbed the prevalence of new untamable animals in Britain. Mr. Scarman used to work for the Dragon Research and Restriction Bureau, and had many opportunities to travel to foreign lands. During this time, he collected a large amount of material for his world bestselling book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", which is now in its fifty-second edition.

Newt Scamander was awarded the title of Second Class Sorcerer of the Order of Merlin in 1979 for his contributions to the study of magical animals, known as Magizoology.

But what interests Kronos most is that Newt re-wrote the preface in the new edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. In the prologue, he admits that he was the first wizard to successfully capture Gellert Grindelwald.

"Mr. Scamander, I want to ask, have you really fought against Grindelwald?" Kronos asked the question he wanted to know the most.

Newt froze for a moment, then pursed his lips and said, "I did fight him, but only in cooperation with Dumbledore."

Chronos nodded, and then asked: "Mr. Scamander, what kind of person do you think Grindelwald is?" Chronos was very curious about Dumbledore's former lover.

"Hmm..." Newt Scamander obviously thought about it. "Grindelwald was a charming, brilliant wizard in his youth, and most people who met him thought so - even Albus Dumbledore himself admitted that Grindelwald was very charming, even obsessed with him."

Chronos nodded. Grindelwald and Albus had planned to find the Deathly Hallows, become the master of Death, and use this power to lead the revolution in the wizarding world, overthrow the "International Statute of Secrecy", and establish A new global order led by witches and wizards. If they hadn't killed Dumbledore's sister by mistake in their fight with Aberforth later on. Then I can't imagine what the wizarding world will be like after the two wizards join forces.

"Grindelwald is a complex figure, deeply idealistic and brilliant, who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He achieved reforms outside the law and committed crimes with his followers." Newt gave his fair assessment.

After saying this, Newt obviously didn't want to continue this topic. "Are you Dumbledore's student?"

"Aren't you too?" Kronos asked back.

"Yes. Dumbledore is really a great wizard. When I was about to be expelled from Hogwarts, only Dumbledore believed in me. You know, he was only a professor of Transfiguration at that time."

Chronos nodded, Dumbledore is indeed the greatest wizard in the wizarding world today.

At this moment, the crowd not far away suddenly laughed and dispersed.

Fat Fudge entered with Dumbledore, and Fudge stood on the podium. Dumbledore waved at him.

"Well, it's your turn," said Mr. Scamander, smiling.

Chronos walked slowly onto the platform, Fudge standing on his left. I don't know when his godfather Horace has also stepped onto the platform, and now he is standing behind Kronos.

Fudge first introduced Chronos, and then personally put on him the second class medal of the Order of Merlin. When Chronos thought it was over, Fudge grabbed Chronos' arm. He began to talk about his political views again. Kronos felt sleepy after hearing it. Chronos also found Rita Skeeter and the quill written by her side.

"I forgot she was an Animagus."

The party was very late, and Kronos had long wanted to leave. The main reason was that his godfather, Horace, kept pulling Kronos to introduce him, which made Kronos roll his eyes.

………………………………………………………………………

Kronos just woke up from the room he had been away for a year, and was washing downstairs. There was the neighing of Pegasus and the sound of the carriage landing outside the door, scaring Kronos out of his toothpaste.

Before Kronos went out, he had already heard Draco's voice.

"Hi, Draco. I'm here." Kronos greeted Kronos inarticulately with froth in his mouth.

Chronos received Malfoy's owl last night, and he invited himself to spend the remaining half month of vacation in his manor.

"What do you think this is? Chronos." Malfoy shook a card in his hand

piece.

"Isn't this the celebrity card in the Chocolate Frog? You know, I don't collect this thing." Kronos recognized the thing in Malfoy's hand at a glance.

"No, Chronos. This is your card." Malfoy said excitedly. "You're on the celebrity card."

Kronos took the card and looked at it, and it was true. On the front is a photo of himself at the award ceremony, and a dazzling second-level medal is pinned to his chest. In the photo, he was blinking at Kronos.

Looking at the back is Chronos' contribution to the wizarding world.

"Cronus Slughorn

Magic props - the creator of the magic circle

The first magister in the wizarding world. (The Ministry of Magic stipulates that a wizard who can make a magic circle is called a magister.)”

(ps: Forgive me, I really can't think of any tall names.)
