He Comes From the Void

Chapter 583 Ascension to Emperor

The strange thing is that the sunlight is no longer refracted when it hits the sun disk.

The sunlight was absorbed by the sun disc, and as the strange lines lit up with hot golden light one after another, the sun disc became brighter and brighter, just like the burning stars in the universe. All those rays of light converged in one place, and a beam of dazzling light burst out from the center of the sun disc, covering Azir.

Azir was still watching over Sivir by the spring, completely unaware that he had been judged eligible for Ascension for his selfless act of saving future generations. The pillar of flame lifted him into the air and continuously injected strength into him.

Under the stimulation of the external light, Sivir felt as if she was under the scorching sun, the light passed through the blood vessels in the eyelids and burned the iris red.

She opened her eyes and found that she was soaking in a cool spring water. She subconsciously took a sip from the corner of her mouth, and she could feel a powerful life energy resisting her body. Then she raised her head to look for the light source, and she couldn't help squinting her eyes due to the strong light. She saw the man who was about to become a god shrouded in light in mid-air.

The rays of light surrounded Azir like a cocoon, and after being transformed by the sun disc, those rays were no longer pure rays of light, but magic from the sun, energy from the astral world.

Long-forgotten magics overflowed his body, energies direct from the sun intensifying his dimensions. Then the light cocoon exploded, and Azir ascended.

Azir was reborn, his body reshaped into what an Ascendant should be, poured into him with the sun's immortal radiance, forged in a majestic eagle-plated exterior.

This armored warrior is clad from head to toe in golden battleplate, with a gemstone as bright as the spring sky set in the center of his chest armor. A tawny dustcloak and straps of crimson cloth trimmed with gold hung from the warrior's shoulder pads carved into the shape of outstretched wings.

His face was hidden behind a beaked helmet, his eyes burning with a pale light like the rising sun. The thick, muscular legs are not human legs, but the anti-arthropods of eagles. In his right hand, he held a huge scepter with a heavy spear point on it, which was shining with golden light.

He opened his arms and landed slowly, the streamers on the gauntlets were as elegant as feathers.

Sivir slowly stood up from the spring water, her flowing long hair soaked with clear drops of water.

One looked down, the other looked up, and the four eyes met. When the prophecy became reality, the heavy history began to condense.

As Azir raised his arm, the toppled stone pillars stood up one after another, and huge bricks also flew back into the air, neatly embedded in the ceiling. Everything around is returning to its original state, and the ruins have once again become a bright temple.

The stone pillars in front of them moved away, and Karn and Kai'Sa were exposed from the darkness, with nowhere to hide, and Azir's sharp eagle eyes immediately spotted them.

"Children of Shurima, why are you here?" Azir spoke a pure old Shurima dialect. The accent sounded heavy to Kahn, but it was orthodox in their time.

"Your Majesty Azir, we have been entrusted by Grand Maester Nasus to help you complete the ascension ceremony." Kahn replied.

Azir sensed that his two patron saints were outside the city, but he didn't know why they were caught in a fierce battle. At the same time, he felt the spirit of the witch spirit in the air he breathed. Who is this witch spirit? Why can't he stop hating it.

He couldn't help but fell into confusion, because he didn't have any memory of these thousands of years. One moment he was still standing on the altar and being admired by all the people, but the next moment he fell to the bottom of the yellow sand, his body completely incomplete.

What Azir wants to ask now is: "Why am I here?"

But immediately, a hateful breath of fear got into his nostrils. It was an external thing that all life hated, and it was the ultimate natural disaster that caused the Ascension Group to decline.

"Lie!" Azir was furious, and immediately pointed the staff blade at the two of them, golden light shot out from the tip, emitting a furious wave, so bright that people couldn't look directly at it.

"You carry the forbidden power of Icacia!"

With a wave of Azir's hand, desert warriors rose from the dunes, wearing armor similar to their master's, but those were made entirely of sand. They marched in perfect synchronization unmatched by any mortal, holding spears in hand to surround the two of them in a corner. The blades on the guns were shining with crystal embellishments, mixed with the wavy sand on their bodies, exuding a terrifying and chilling aura.

The sudden change made Kahn choke back his prepared lines, and he and Kai'Sa looked at each other, momentarily at a loss.

Kahn didn't know how Azir discovered their secret, maybe the Ascended who had experienced that war were particularly sensitive to the breath of the void. Although Azir was born hundreds of years after the war, he also learned the horror of the void from others.

"This doesn't conflict with us coming to save you, now it's your turn to save Shurima." Kahn replied neither humble nor overbearing.

"The mighty Shurima still needs me to save? Now that I have been promoted to the Ascended Emperor, it won't take much effort to kill both of you first."

Azir didn't believe Kahn's words. Although everything around him told him that the Dawn Oasis had undergone drastic changes, his unconditional trust in Shurima still made him reject this absurd idea unless he saw it with his own eyes.

The tip of the sand soldier's spear kept approaching, Kai'Sa frowned, and turned her gaze to Sivir.

"Say something, Sivir, just watch us get killed like this?"

Sivir remained silent, and Kahn backstabbed her not long ago. Although he said after the stabbing that this was a necessary part of resurrecting Azir, it still made her feel resentful. She may never trust Kahn again in her life.

If she remained silent, she might be able to see Azir kill the two of them. But would Kahn allow the soldiers to stab him to death? I'm afraid not. He would cover her with void armor, turn her into a void monster in front of Azir, and force her to join the line, so that Azir would either let them go or kill them all.

After thinking about it, Kahn still held her own handle, so she had no choice but to come forward.

"Leave them alone, they are with me." Sivir said, feeling inexplicably tired.

Azir glanced at her, waved his hand, and the soldiers turned into a mess of loose sand. After his ascension, his main ability is to control the yellow sand, and this ability will give him the home field advantage in the desert.

He turned around and faced Sivir, standing on the stone steps and looking down majestically.

"Your name is Sivir?"
