Harry Potter’s Defense Professor

Chapter 53: Arrange for Parents

Lockhart came to his parents' house - Baron Lockhart House.

As soon as he entered the door, his mother gave him a big hug.

"Guidero, my child, how are you doing." The mother kissed Lockhart.

"I'm doing well, you should have seen my books, they're also available in Muggle bookstores."

"I'm more worried when I see it, Gilderoy, are those stories true?" Mothers don't like watching stories of children's adventures.

To reassure his mother, Lockhart told the truth: "Those stories were told to me by others. I am now a professor at Hogwarts, and I am safe."

The world is crazy, and Lockhart finds in desperation that no one believes him right now—not even his mother.

"That's great, boy, I don't want you to take that kind of pointless adventure again." The mother burst into tears, and Lockhart was in a hurry.

"Hmph, what are you doing back here?" Lockhart's father, Baron Ginger Lockhart also went downstairs.

"Ginger! You're not allowed to say that to Gilderoy," the mother yelled at the father.

Mr. Lockhart snorted coldly, walked to the edge of the sofa and sat down.

Lockhart's mother married his father as a Muggle, but Lockhart received an acceptance letter from Hogwarts when he was 11 years old. The mother had to admit that she and Lockhart were both wizards, which made Lockhart's father very angry, and then Lockhart always stood by the mother's side, the father and son fell out, and Lockhart rarely came back after graduation, but The kinship of blood still exists, especially after some things have happened.

"Mother, this is the gift I bought for you."

"Oh, put it down, sit down, and I'll prepare dinner." Mother hurriedly took what Lockhart took, put it away, and walked into the kitchen.

Lockhart and his father sat face to face, neither talking until dinner time.

"Mother, I came back this time to tell you that that person is back, and I hope you can move abroad."

"Isn't the Ministry of Magic hunting him now?"

"Mother, I'm an insider. I don't think the Ministry of Magic can do such a thing. Safety first."

"Okay, Gilderoy, don't fight against that person, be your professor well, no matter who is in power, it won't embarrass the school." The mother nodded.

"It's moving again!" Mr. Lockhart put down his glass angrily, "almost every time you come back, you tell us to move! I told you to stay away from that messy wizarding world, you always don't listen, and you always Talk about that person, what happened to him, is he dead?"

"That man is a demon, and it's hard to kill him. And I'm a good wizard who can't escape the world I belong to," Lockhart said dryly, not wanting to continue arguing with his father about this.

"One day you will be killed by that man! Look at it!" Baron Lockhart cursed fiercely.

"If there are other wizards that threaten my life, I will come to you to run for my life." Lockhart said the truth, but unfortunately no one believed it, or half believed it.

"Guidero, you have to promise me," said the mother nervously. "Young people are always impulsive, but nothing is more important than your own life."

"Mother, I promise! Do you want to find a witness and make an unbreakable oath?"

"You kid, what nonsense!" The mother was also a little unhappy. "That kind of oath is punished with life. I hope you will never make that kind of oath with anyone."

"Lockhart, the room is cleaned up, you can go to rest."

"Mother, how many times have you said it, you can call Jim to do this kind of thing, he just has nothing to do in his spare time."

"No, I like to do it myself. I'm always lazy and grow old quickly." Mother smiled at Lockhart.

After dinner, Lockhart slept in the guest room of the old mansion. Although there was no Faithful Charm here, nor Dumbledore and Auror, Lockhart slept very soundly.

Lockhart has lived in the old house for a few days, watching his parents move out safely.

His father remained aloof to speak to him, but as Lockhart's magic continued to grow, he could now feel his father's pleasure through unconscious legilimency—no old man disliked the feeling of family reunion.

Moving a house in the Muggle world can be a hassle, with formalities, sorting things out, saying goodbye to close neighbors, etc. And Lockhart's parents refused to help the house-elves... The mother didn't even want to use a wand, she said that she promised Lockhart's father, and Lockhart could only respect her mother's decision.

A few days later, Lockhart's parents boarded a plane to America like a pair of Muggles - Lockhart thought the whole of Europe was unsafe. And Lockhart went to the airport to say goodbye like a Muggle.

"Honey, protect yourself!" The mother hugged Lockhart in tears.

"I will." Lockhart looked at his father. "Have a nice time in America, father."

"I will!" replied my father, "I don't want that damn Hogwarts to send us a letter asking us to come back and claim the body! Be careful!"

"I will," Lockhart exclaimed to them, as they walked towards the gate, "Love you all! Take care!"
