Chapter 169 Riddle's Memories

Chapter 169 Riddle's Memories

"Hello, Riddle," said the old wizard.

"Professor Dippet, do you want to see me?" Riddle said cautiously, looking a little nervous.

"Sit down first." The old wizard motioned for Riddle to sit down first, and continued, "I was just reading your letter to me."

"Oh." Riddle stood up immediately, then sat down slowly, his hands clasped tightly together, looking very nervous.

"Don't be nervous, my dear child," said the old wizard kindly. "I can't let you spend the summer at school, you'll be willing to go home for vacation."

"No," Riddle refused immediately, saying, "Headmaster, I just want to stay at Hogwarts, I don't want that."

"So you're staying in a Muggle orphanage on vacation, right?" the old wizard asked curiously.

"Yes, I live there now." Riddle crossed his fingers, twisted his fingers, and blushed slightly.

"Were you born into a Muggle family?" the old wizard continued.

"My mother was a wizard," said Riddle eagerly, before lowering his voice. "My father is a Muggle, and I am a half-blood, sir."

"Are your parents still alive?" the old wizard asked embarrassedly.

"My mother died just after giving birth to me, sir. The people at the orphanage told me that she only had time to teach ≧♂≧♂wind≧♂wen≧♂, w◎ww.cfw↓x.ne+t from me A name, Tom, after my father."

The old wizard smacked his lips sympathetically, "I'm sorry to tell you, Tom." He sighed, "We were going to make some special arrangements for you, but the current situation"

"Sir, are you referring to the current attack?" Riddle asked cautiously.

Harry felt that his heartbeat should have quickened, and he leaned in between the two, lest he miss a word.

"That's it," said the old wizard sadly. "Son, you should understand how stupid and dangerous it would be if I let you stay in the castle after the semester ended. The recent tragedy, The poor girl is dead, and you'll be much safer in the orphanage."

The old sorcerer paused, and was cruel,

"To tell you the truth, the Ministry of Magic is already debating whether or not to close the Academy, and we have no clue as to the cause or origin of all the misfortunes that have occurred."

It was as if Riddle had been slapped with a stick, his face was pale, and his eyes were full of incredulity.

"Sir, if that person is caught, can everything be stopped?" Riddle asked eagerly, as if grabbing a life-saving straw.

"What do you mean?" The old wizard's voice suddenly became sharp and piercing, and he abruptly stood up from his chair. "Riddle, do you have information on these attacks?"

"No, sir." Riddle said in a panic. But Harry was certain that Riddle's "no" was of the same nature as the "no" he said when he rejected Dumbledore, hiding what he knew.

The old wizard didn't seem to notice this, and he fell back in his chair, looking very disappointed. "Come on, Tom."

Riddle stood up slowly and shuffled out of the room. Harry followed closely behind him.

They descended the spiral staircase and out of the hallway through the darkening monster dripper. Riddle stopped abruptly, and Harry stopped too, watching him silently.

Harry could see Riddle was having a tough fight, biting his lip and frowning, his face heavy and stiff. Soon, he seemed to have made a decision, and immediately quickened his pace, and Harry followed closely.

They didn't meet anyone along the way, and they came to the foyer by the auditorium, a tall wizard with long auburn hair and a long beard. He greeted Riddle from the marble staircase.

"Tom, you're still hanging out so late, what are you doing?" The tall wizard's stern tone was somewhat displeased.

Harry stared at the tall wizard, a very familiar figure, this is Dumbledore fifty years younger.

"I just went to see the headmaster, sir." Riddle said neither arrogantly nor humbly.

"Go to bed and go to bed." Dumbledore said, staring at Riddle with his penetrating eyes, as if he could see through his heart.

"It's best not to hang out near the corridor during this time, it's already happened." He sighed heavily and did not continue. He said goodnight to Riddle and strode away.

Riddle did not go back to the dormitory. When he saw that Dumbledore was no longer out of sight, he immediately quickened his pace, walked down the stone steps, and walked towards the basement classroom. Harry followed closely behind him. behind.

To Harry's disappointment, Riddle did not continue to search for the secret passage, the secret tunnel. He took Harry to the basement where Snape was teaching. The light was dim and dark, and the torches were not lit.

Riddle stood still at the door of the basement classroom, staring at the passage outside.

Harry waited bored, counting the time, and they had waited for over an hour. Harry had gone from standing to sitting, in several positions. And Riddle stood still at the door, like a statue, quietly peeking out from the crack of the door.

At least this kind of concentration makes Harry admire, or is the next thing important to him? Harry guessed wildly.

Finally, when Harry was almost impatient, he even stood in front of Riddle to take a closer look at this strange and somewhat familiar person. He suddenly heard movement outside the door.

Someone was walking quietly in the passage, passing the basement where he and Riddle were hiding. Riddle quietly passed through the crack of the door and followed the figure, hanging silently behind him like a shadow.

At this tense and solemn moment, even Harry forgot that he was in a ghost-like state, that he would not be discovered, and he followed quietly on tiptoe.

After about five minutes, the figure they followed stopped. Riddle leaned against the wall, hidden in the darkness, head sideways, listening to the voices that appeared.

Harry heard a door squeak open, and heard someone whispering in a hoarse voice.

"Come here, come up and go to the box" The voice sounded familiar to Harry.

Riddle jumped out suddenly, he left the corner, and jumped in front of the man. Harry followed, and he saw that the voice was a big boy. The boy was crouching in front of an open wooden door with a large box inside.
